Clay Oven Indian Restaurant - Louisville - Photo album

Clay Oven isn't the closest Indian restaurant to home, but it's become our favorite. Located, rather unassumedly, in a retail strip area on Shelbybille Rd in Middletown, Clay Oven is more than you expect when you walk in. We've never had to wait to get seated at Clay Oven, even though we always vi
Best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. My husband had lamb rogan josh and I had chicken tikka masala. The portions were perfect, the rice cooked perfectly and the garlic naan bread was to die for! You can chose your own heat levels. It is also VERY affordable. New favorite place.
This food is amazing! I was delighted in their tandoori chicken, which comes out on a sizzling plate! Their chicken madras was excellent as well! They had a table with dishes waiting for us, and the food came out much faster than expected! We got the medium spice level, which was right on our prefer

Stopped by for dinner with 3 others. We shared the Chana Saag, Aloo Gobi, Dal Tadka and Mango vegetable. Everyone enjoyed it. My favorite dish is the Chana Saag, and then the Dal Tadka. I didn’t care for the vegetable mango, but my sister loved it..We also got an order of the samosas and samosa cha
Lovely place...clean and comfortable, the employees are very kind and personable. And the food is well made, delicious, and very reasonably priced! Perfect for a date night or a quick lunch or a group gathering. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this restaurant!!!
Food is awesome! Service was probably just laid back. Very friendly staff water glasses stayed full, so probably more European Service...
My favorite local Indian place! Authentic and delicious, it’s my go-to.
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. It is consistently delicious, and we’ve been going here for years. Tonight, though, they blew themselves out of the water! Not only was the entire meal fantastic, but the naan was hands-down the best naan or even ANY table bread I have ever had! Try t
Good food and ambience is also good. The background songs were bad though. The person who was serving us didn't even gave us option to order main course. He gave the bill when we were about to complete starters and bread. That is the only bad part.
This is my new favorite Indian spot in Louisville! The staff was so friendly and it was nice that they all helped each other throughout our meal. Our waters were full and our basmati rice was always refilled. Best prices I’ve ever seen for this cuisine as well! Super affordable. I can’t personally h
Came to this place with a party of five. This place was surprisingly empty at 1pm in the afternoon. The naan was delicious. One got chicken tiki masala, chicken mango, and I got lamb vanduloo (probably spelled that wrong). Everyone loved there meals. For 5 of us (two splitting a meal) it ran $60 bef
Great food and atmosphere. Waiter recommendation was excellent. Though he forgot to ask if we wanted drinks.
Excellent lunch buffet for under $10! Lots of vegetarian options and a variety of delicious dishes. Friendly and attentive staff. I come here all the time for lunch and love how their dishes are different depending on the day.
This is my husband and I’d favorite place to eat. It’s always so delicious. Unfortunately we found out about this place during COVID so we never got to try their buffet. Please please please consider bringing the buffet back.
