Had my first experience tonight after driving past every day for years. Took my daughter after a cross country meet in West Point, and was bit worried because she is extremely picky! She loved it! The service was a little slow at first, but they were slammed when we walked in. Kelsey was our server, and she was an absolute doll! She's so sweet and attentive. Very professional, which is more than I can say for the server who was chomping her gum while waiting on customers. Sorry, but that's just gross. Overall, a good experience. We will be back!

It was my first time eating at Christi's. My son took me out for lunch. They had a big crowd and the food was so good. And I can't say enough how good the iced tea was. Soon as I walked in I could tell it was a family oriented place. Everyone was just enjoying themselves. Great service too. I will definitely be going back
Great food awesome portions I really enjoyed the food and I had great company to share the experience looking forward to coming back to try something different
I had lunch there today and thought it was really good. I was there around 10:30 and it was busy. The inside is diner themed and pleasant and there is plenty of parking.
I had a cup of chili with cheese, onions, and spaghetti. I thought it was really good for chili out and I'm kind of picky on chili. I also had a triple decker club that was also really good. I couldn't finish it and brought half of it home. I also tried the fried cornbread, but wouldn't opt for it again. I'm from the Deep South and it was too sweet for me. :-) It was like a pancake sweet. It's not bad if you like your cornbread sweet. (Southerners eat everything sweet, EXCEPT cornbread.) The sweet tea was perfectly sweet and I liked that.
Everything on the menu looked good and it was pretty much the standard diner/family restaurant fare. The servers were busy but worked hard and the service was good. The other patrons were warm and friendly and there are obviously a lot of regulars here and I can see why. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just good comfort food served by warm, friendly people. Next time I'm back in the area, it's definitely on the list.
Good food, service and prices.
Had avoided it based on one persons experience when it first opened. Glad we gave it a try, ate there Saturday and Sunday. Bigmouth burger is my favorite. Country fried steak is the best I have tasted in years.
Colorful and always buzzing with conversation...only topped by the great home-style food! Love this little jewel of Louisville's south end!
Great New Find / We'll Be Back. Went to Christi's today with friends on their recommendation. We were not disappointed. Huge main dish portion had both my wife and I taking home leftovers. Service was good and the wait staff very pleasant.
Great home cooking offerings, breakfast available 24/7. We both had the boneless fried chicken and it was great. We all shared fried pickles and fried green tomatoes. Yes, eating well was blown today, but it was worth it!
Prices were not low or high. 36 and change for 3 people on our bill. Considering an appetizer being ordered I consider that respectable.
I will say that it was interesting to see a great client mix. Families of 4 or more. Older husbands and wives. 3 members of the "Grim Reapers Motorcycle Club" (all wearing t-shirts signifying such and all looked the part). 3 uniformed Louisville Metro Police officers. Now that is Americana folks.
Give this place a try. We'll definitely be back soon!
Love it. Good friendly service and some good country cookin :)
Good value and good food is what keeps them open....We like our little 2 person spot in the corner.
I love this place. Everyone is nice, for the most part. Food is homemade, it's a fun atmosphere, & great food.
Great place for breakfast. The food at Christi's is good simple country cooking. I'm not a big fan of the decor (it seems a little kitschy) and the service is variable- I've had long, LONG waits for my food a few times. But the cooking is consistently decent, and they make a fine breakfast. For dinner, they're not the best local option (that'd probably be Jessie's) but the menu offers enough choice to satisfy most members of my family. Pricewise, they're a little more expensive than their competitors, but it's not a serious problem; I'd still recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonable family restaurant.

Great food, interesting atmosphere, & good price. Thre was a classic car show going on when we went too.
Ample portions of simple country fare done right at a good price.
Our experience was very pleasant. Even with the place being full, the noise level was such that a good conversation could be had with out shouting.
My entire family very highly recommends Christie's Cafe.
The Country Fried Burger is INCREDIBLE. I was hesitant at first... If it doesn't meet my expectations I'll be so disappointed... Nope, I'm going for it. It was absolutely everything I hoped it could be, maybe more, and I was so glad I got one. It was overloaded with damn good gravy I was able to sop up with my fries. This burger is seriously good! Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle to boot.
I also got a fried mushroom appetizer that was excellent. I started to get a second order of the mushrooms they disappeared so fast, but then my gigantic burger arrived and I knew I'd be just fine.
The wife got the patty melt, which was so good she didn't share. The kids threw down on a quesadilla, hot dog, and fries. Everyone helped with the mushrooms. Everyone left full and happy.
We loved everything about Christie's Cafe. If we lived nearby we would eat here regularly. This week's adventure took us here and it was well worth the drive.
Heavy food, home style cooking! Great anytime, breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
I love their burgers, crispy 😍 on the outside and flavored right. Fried pickles and fried green tomatoes are a hit. Breakfast went over well with the whole family, especially french toast and their biscuits and gravy will fill you up.
Read reviews, and it did not disappoint. Country fried steak and gravy was excellent. Believe me I know on this choice. I have tried it all across the US and this is noteworthy. Most people cannot get the crust crispy enough with the white gravy and it ends up being soggy. This was perfect. I wanted hashbrowns but they had home fries. Surprising I actually really liked them. It's a very busy place. I also watched how they handled a bus load of elderly people today and it was awesome to see how they were patient and caring with them. Great place. Will definitely be back during my 3 month stay in Louisville.
Had breakfast and it was very good, except the "City Ham". Pay more gor the country ham.
Servers were attentive and friendly.
Had a hamburger.
Decent food and good service. The staff was super friendly.
It was my first time here but I would definitely return! Great family atmosphere, the staff was friendly and you could tell someone but a lot of love into this place to make it what it is. Every time I drive by here, it's busy! My granddaughters wanted to do a photo shoot with the papalooza horse outside before we left.
Wow this little cafe is definitely a hidden gem! The food is amazing, good country cooking. The Fried green tomatoes are omg SO SO GOOD. The burger that my boyfriend got was huge and he said it was delicious. Their sweet tea is perfect and it’s just a fantastic place the quality of the food is really good. Servers are always friendly and smiling. Thanks to all of you for your hard work the cooks, servers, the owners. Great spot great food and I was glad to spend my money for great delicious food!
Excellent hamburger salad. The portion size was huge, and the price was moderate. Wait staff were very responsive, friendly, and very good at their job. Hats off to all staff & the cooks. Great country fried steak and eggs . On 9/29/23, we ate here again. The BLT and onion rings were great. Wait, staff was excellent. The onion rings were some of the best I have had.
THE essential great American diner! Great cooking, great food and always good company and a warm welcome to all. For a true "country" response, make sure you ask for the sweet tea. The reply guarantees an authentic experience from this, the very soul of Kentucky diners.
We’ve always enjoyed Christy’s but OMG! THE CATERING! They have an extremely professional setup and have fed my plant of 70 people a couple times now. My team never wants pizza again.
Love the vibe of the place, they seem like they know 50% of the customers. It feels like a neighbor hangout. The food is good, typical southern comfort food.
