If you think you should skip it because it's a "take out" place, your missing out. Unreal portions and quality!!! I'd put these rolls up there with any sushi place I've eaten at while living in L.A.

I had the Salmon Skin Roll on my first drive through and I was amazed at the portion size and the freshness!! From the Ginger, Wasabi, the rice, seasoned Salmon and the sauce- It was better than any I have ever had in my travels. I will most definitely come back and try other features from their menu

Always tasty and fresh. My go to is always a California roll and I add cream cheese. I tried the fruit roll and it was delicious. It will be my place to go when I get the urge for sushi!

A place found through Google and the sushi was good and fresh. Seating limited for inside dining. Highly recommend.

My favorite place to grab a quick bite! I recommend them to everyone. I was even surprised with my very own set of chopsticks tonight! I cannot say enough great things about this place and the people who work there!

This place is amazing! Fresh sushi and/or rolls through a drive thru that taste this better than most of the 'fancier' restaurants I've dined in. The service is awesome and so is the price! Love ToGo Sushi!

We ordered a fried special roll, a Ruby roll and 2 house salads through the drive through. The total came to $35 before tip and we waited around 10 minutes for our order. The sushi rolls we chose were large and tasted decent. The salad was the typical iceberg lettuce with shredded carrots but the ginger dressing was disappointing. It was very thin/watery and lacked flavor. There are definitely better sushi options in Louisville but the convenience of the drive through and lunch hours are both a plus.

My girlfriend and I were wanting someplace to eat before a concert and after she scoured reviews of available sushi restaurants we decided on this one since it is the highest and most consistently rated in Louisville. We dined in, which I don’t really recommend unless you HAVE to. Since it’s a to-go restaurant, everything is served in to-go containers and it isn’t like you have table service. But, the atmosphere is pleasant, and clean. The ordering process was easy although the menu is somewhat hard to decipher in the way it’s organized; all the rolls started sounding the same after a while due to the rearranging of similar ingredients. We decided on the Louisville roll, the rainbow roll, and the green city roll. The sushi itself was a mixed bag. The ingredients are high-quality; no doubt about that. The rolls themselves are large, which is not my personal preference, but it works ok…except that the green city roll was not good due to the large meat chunks and their texture…my girlfriend almost lost her appetite completely, and I wasn’t pleased either. But otherwise the Louisville roll had great flavor and texture as did the rainbow roll, which tasted very fresh. Just be discerning about which roll works best in the large format and you’ll be ok. The pricing is also reasonable. The employees are SUPER friendly, and the overall vibe is respectful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place. It was busy the entire time we were there, and they get their orders out VERY quickly. Lots of locals too, which is encouraging. Overall, a good experience 🙂👍

Being a sushi lover, I have searched high and low here in Louisville, KY and I finally found this goldmine. They make each roll fresh, and rather quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their menu is plentiful. Their seating is on the smaller side but as fast as the orders come in they go out. I would highly recommend this little place. They even have a drive thru.

I got two rolls to go. Ended up being around 30 bucks which isn’t bad. The rolls themselves are huge. They’re also delicious.

I have always heard about this place but have never been here. Handy drive thru option. Ordered 4 rolls for 3 people thinking the normal average size that should be enough. I got the bag and was pleasantly surprised that the weight of the bag was heavy. Got them home and realized how large the rolls were for the price. Great flavors overall. Overall very surprised and delighted. Will be going back another time.

I LOVE THEM!!! I love them… such good quality, humongous rolls, and such kind workers. Highly recommend the salmon roll, valentine roll, or louisville roll! With sushi you NEED good quality + proportion, and this place always delivers.

I have eaten sushi in New York, California, Japan... This is some of the best sushi I've ever had. Bold flavors are just outstanding, the color the fish was perfect. Great textures and tons of sauces crispy garnish. American Sushi done exceptionally well.

One of the best sushi place in Louisville. Seating is very small. It’s a drive through place. Grab and go.

I would not believe the 4.8 stars currently on Google maps for this restaurant if I did not try it for myself. A co-worker hyped it up daily so I thought I was going to be set up for disappointment. ABSOLUTELY NOT! This is the BEST sushi I've ever tasted. The rolls are gigantic and they just melt in your mouth. Normally when I'm starving, I eat extremely fast without appreciating the flavor. I took nearly a minute to eat each piece, savoring every dimension of flavor that I could possibly experience. Pictured are the Louisville, Happy, Kentucky, and Lexington rolls. The fish is so incredibly fresh. I did not need any soy sauce to dip the rolls in. In fact, I tried dipping one piece and it nearly ruined the flavor. The salmon was seared with a torch. The rice was not grainy at all. The happy roll (second one down) is only $6.50! That's cheaper than mediocre grocery store sushi! I waited until after coming here a second time just to make sure the first time was not a fluke and I still found myself shaking my head, saying things like "wow" or "OMG so good!" after every bite. Hilariously enough, you can go through the drive through, but you'll be waiting for awhile because the rolls are freshly made. Go check these guys out! FYI, I ate the leftovers the next morning and it was still amazing.

Idk how many times I drove by this place and didn't give it any thought because I didn't think it was any good. I try not to judge a book by it's cover but in this case I did. My friend convinced me to go with her. She swore it was good, so I gave it a shot. And she was right! The rolls were large, and was very tasty. It was comparable to nicer Japanese restaurants. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this place!!
