We came in on NYE with a party of 11 and Whitney was our server. We were sat as soon as we walked in and had awesome service. The drinks and appetizers arrived very promptly and were exceptional. We got the calamari, potato latkes and of course the green chili wontons all for the table and they didn't disappoint. All of the entrees looked and tasted amazing. Our biggest compliment would be to our server Whitney though, she's on it! She had a packed section with 2 big parties and a 4 top and she was still very attentive to all our needs. Great service, Great food, cool vibes and a great location for going out after dinner!

This is my favorite place to go in Louisville! I love the wontons and the patio and the staff. I go or order carryout whenever I have the chance.

Came in last night for my bday and the staff was more than accommodating. Our server Mike was awesome and the manager (didn't get his name) was very helpful. The food was amazing also! We'll definitely be back :)

My favorite restaurant in Louisville. Super friendly servers, the best patio there is (Highlands) and delicious food every time. I could eat the green chili wontons every single day. Great wines and great atmosphere. Sunday brunch is easily the best I've been to, in Louisville or elsewhere.
Date night all the way. They have several chicken entrees that have such a unique blend of spices and seasoning that you will gorge yourself just to finish it! Excellent service and several locations!
Had a group of 11 there tonight. Service was good. Attentive with drinks. Overall positive experience although the food was very average. I had the Bistro Chicken...was kind of lost in the sauce.
Main course was good but house salad plain. Blue cheese dressing has mustard taste (bleah). Restroom was icky and included a loose seat that is just asking for a lawsuit. Meanwhile, awesome outdoor seating area.
If you haven't had a green chili wonton, what are you doing with your life? Bristol is THE Louisville Original, a family-friendly bar and grille great for business lunches, date night, or even just a well-made, reasonably-priced drink. Their wine list, while already well-stocked, includes seasonal features and flights, and, being on the Urban Bourbon Trail, they carry over 60 bourbons. (And they have the best prices on Pappy that I've seen in the city.) Their menu has changed little in their 30+ years and for good reason. Menu items like the Pork Dijonaise, Teresa's Linguini, steak sandwich, California Club Salad, and the Bristol burger are local classics. Ask about the specials; most are locally farmed. Half price wine bottles on Tuesdays and $5 martinis on Thursdays are an added bonus for the middle of the week. Enjoy!
Brunch. I've only been here for Sunday brunch, but it was one of the best buffet experiences I've had. Delicious french toast and wontons. Somewhat spendy but it makes for a nice treat.
Great Service; Food not So This Time. This is my favorite of the Bristol’s in Louisville—the original restaurant and the best menu. But my last visit was a bit disappointing (this is just a matter of not enjoying a single menu item--not a comment on the entire menu by any means). A guest and I chose the chicken fajitas: unique, but a very odd flavor. A cross between Italian and Mexican, covered in oregano with a sweet sauce. Though I ate mine, my guest did not finish hers. Our other guest really enjoyed her pork dijonaise entre though. Sitting on the patio at night was beautiful, and the service wonderful. Just an unfortunate food night for a couple of us, but we'll return.
SO VERY SAFE. Clean place with good service. The food won't knock you over but it is a good place to take guests. The breakfast sunday buffet used to have live classical music, but I don't remember it being there the last couple of times. If you're going to spend cheescake factory money, you're better off here. If your a real foodie, this place will not win your heart.
Thought it would be way more overpriced from the reviews. Foods great, beers great, service is great, can't complain. Will be back!

Food was fantastic and really a great value! We had artichoke fritters, crab cakes and the smoked salmon pasta. All yummy!
Great appetizers. Stopped in for a quick dinner during a recent business trip. Good casual ambiance, friendly and well trained servers. First we tried the calamari and the green chili wontons. The calamari was better than most, and the wontons were unique and very tasty. My dining partner recommended the Bristol Burger for my entree. It was a big, thick, juicy burger. Delicious. The drink list was great, although I was unable to take advantage of the opportunity. Will be back next time I find myself in the area.
Chocolate Creme Brulee. Atmosphere is nice, food is always yummy- love house dressing! Great green chili wontons that are worth the trip alone. BUT (and I hope they still have this on the menu..) the chocolate custard creme brulee is absolutley amazing!!! It has been about two years since we had the chance to get it and my hubby and I still talk about it. Service is usually pretty good- great in spring and summer when you can sit outdoors. Crab cakes are great. drink selection may be most extensive i have seen in the ville. A fantastic place!
The Bristol has been one of my favorite places to go out to eat since I was young. My family would go after plays, and we always loved it. It's open late, has great food, and a friendly staff. I can't recommend it enough!
One of our favorites. The Bristol's Sunday Brunch is always good, I just wish that they would bring the Highland Chamber Players back. I always looked forward to hearing chamber music on Sunday mornings.

Perhaps, the best overall place in L'ville!. Well, I could write a huge review of this classic Louisville enterprise. They have 5 locations of which I've been to four, very consistent with product and service. I really love the sandwich of fried basa fish and usually I opt without the bread and add some fresh veggies with a house salad. All ingredients seem very fresh and when ordering meats they come as ordered i.e. rare, medium, etc. Apparently, well managed and the wine selection for the money is the BEST in town. You can always find a great bottle of wine for around 20 bucks. They also take reservations which now is becoming rare these days; I usually get the window table for Bardstown road to look at the local scene. I can't say enough for this place, out of all the restaurants in Louisville, these are the one's I'd love to own! Only thing I would offer as a suggestion is changing the appetizers and dropping the english muffin for a good bun for the burger. (and that's nit pickin'!) My overall favorite for louisville! (parking can be tough at this location on the weekend, but that's all bardstown road area)
Great experience. Had a late dinner at Bristol the other night. The staff was on the ball and there was not a single flaw. It was a hot night and the patio was lovely, try the green chile wontons!
Must admit that this is one of my all time favorite locations! Service is never a problem if you let them know you are trying to make curtain time at a show. Highly recommend the Thai hot / sweet chicken fettucine available only at this location!
It is the place to go for Sunday brunch, especially if you like waffles and fried chicken!
I had an early lunch and the service people are so pleasant at the Bristol. I especially enjoyed the clam chowder which I would call it a Cajun chowder. Some celery, onions, potatoes and clams ion a spicy but not hot broth. Dinner rolls fresh out of the oven. The featured Chardonnay and crabcake were also very good. I live out of town but I certainly enjoy the Bristol when I have the opportunity
Blown away by the salad. Probably the best salad I have ever had in a restaurant, no joke. There was a little bit of a wait for our food, but it was totally worth is because it was so good! Nice environment to sit in, lovely staff. No complaints, I will be back!
Had green chili wontons, Buffalo cauliflower & ginger ale recently when I visited. All were very good. Server was very nice. Fast service.
We went for Thanksgiving buffet, the food offered was a mix of creative and traditional, the strawberry mix salad ,grilled Atlantic salmon ,and peeled shrimp were exceptional. A few of the more traditional Thanksgiving fares were a little bland for me , but serving a broad audience probably limits the amount of seasoning . The service was helpful and thoughtful, the atmosphere and decor was excellent. Highly recommend
Service great. Atmosphere great. Food good but expected more ingredients & less pasta considering the price. The wontons are delicious. The creamy guacamole is amazing. The linguine pietro is good. It was just light on the mushroom slices, sun-dried tomatoes, & capers- I think garlic was missing. It was an event weekend & they were very busy - so very possible I didn't get the best serving. All things considered, we would definitely return, especially on a non-event night.

We arrived just as the Bristol opened (we like to eat early), so there wasn't a big crowd and lots of staff was available. We were greeted with a smile and eye contact, and seated right away. We had our pick of tables and chose one right by the window with the sun shining through. Our server was also smiling (a great sign) and answered our questions while getting our order. Drinks and appetizer were delivered very quickly. Loved the artichoke fritters. I'm a conch fritter fan, but really liked these - deep fried to perfection, the artichoke was moist and melted in my mouth once I crunched through the breading - tasted great, looked great. Our server took our orders and refilled our drinks. We got some fresh warm bread with our appetizers - I could have filled up on the bread, it was wonderful. I got a steak sandwich and my wife ordered the Linguine Giovanni; she really wanted chicken parmesan so they dressed it up and give her some extra parmesan cheese. Loved everything we ate. Especially impressed with how they accommodated my wife even though she wanted something that wasn't on the menu. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is clean and well maintained. It is an older building and definitely has some character. A great place for drinks and dinner, we will be back!
What a great place to gather! We had family in town - a pretty big party & they were so accommodating. We were so grateful. Goes without saying that the food is fantastic! & the very dirty martini did not disappoint.
I love this location!! All the dishes I sampled were excellent, and our server was courteous and attentive. I'm so glad this location brought back their brunch buffet because they do it best!!
Really good food. Price was very reasonable, especially since th food was so good. Attentive and pleasant waitress. Will definitely go back the next Tom I'm in Louisville.
