Popular place with an interesting history going back to the early-mid 20th Century. Their claim to fame is that the original owners say they created the first cheeseburger. The fried pickles were very good. However, there wasn’t much of them. Only 9 pickles to an order. Tough when sharing. They need to rethink the size and increase the pickle slice number. The ribeye burger was huge, and certainly unusual with the addition of an egg on top. It had a lot of flavor, but was difficult to eat. I think next time I will have them cook the egg so that it is not runny. The BBQ brisket and shrimp étouffée were also excellent. Service was friendly but a bit slow, probably because it was Saturday and very busy. They also have homemade ice cream and a variety of flavors along with a few ice cream base desserts, but we did not have any. I thought $8.75 for a milkshake was a bit overpriced. Worth a return visit as we all enjoyed the restaurant. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was full so we parked out on the street which wasn’t very far away.

Located in the original brick and mortar location of Harlan Sander's fried chicken empire, this adorable restaurant has a nice variety of Southern dishes and tasty beverages. Clean and bright, with friendly staff and great decor, it's worth a stop off the highway. Highly recommend the fried pickles, and of course the Fried Chicken is a must try. (they don't use the KFC recipe but theirs is pretty good!) Pro tip: entrance is in the back of the building, and the "malt shop" is part of the restaurant.

Absolutely loved it. I went today for my friends birthday. Andy was our server, he was fantastic. My friend had gotten an order of the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, I tried one...delicious. I ordered the chicken thigh sandwich meal with an extra side of brussel sprouts because I was hooked. My meal was great. 10/10 would recommend going here.

Typical Saturday night my wife and I along with our favorite couple friends. We ended up at 80/20 and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was electric. It's a restaurant with bar vibes. The food was delicious and out waiter Will was very attentive, but not overbearing. Wasn't a fan of the beer cheese...... we wanted to try a little of everything as you can tell by the photos. We also had the bourbon ice cream.......must have. Highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kaelin's restaurant, and I must say, it truly is an amazing establishment and a staple in the neighborhood. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly service, which set the tone for the rest of the evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and tasteful decor. It's the perfect place for a romantic date night or a gathering with friends and family. The attention to detail in the interior design creates a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Kaelin's is diverse and offers something for everyone. Whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or have dietary restrictions, you'll find plenty of options to satisfy your cravings. I opted for their signature dish, the steak, and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The presentation of the dish was also impressive, with a side of perfectly seasoned vegetables and a mouthwatering sauce. The service at Kaelin's is top-notch. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests or recommendations. They go above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a memorable dining experience. In addition to the fantastic food and service, Kaelin's also offers a great selection of drinks. Their cocktail menu is creative and features unique concoctions that perfectly complement the flavors of the dishes. I highly recommend trying one of their signature cocktails or asking the bartender to create a custom drink based on your preferences. Overall, Kaelin's restaurant is a gem in the neighborhood. It's a place where you can enjoy delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend giving Kaelin's a try. You won't be disappointed!

Love this place. I finally get to visit it. I was there for Burger Week. I enjoyed their burger, and also, I had the "adult" juice box which I really enjoy it. I would love to come back again for burger and malt shake for sure.

Happy hour is well worth it if you can make it which I believe is from 3pm-6pm! The 80/20 burger was good only thing is my bun started falling apart and I had to use my knife and fork to finish it. It may have been because it was a gluten free bun? I’m not sure, but the burger was yummy overall! Zero complaints with the white cheddar grits though, delicious!

Food amazing service top tier drinks to die for and the house made shakes and icecream is amazing! They always seat me quickly and the servers are the best! I love the interiors and the restrooms are always very clean. The decor is rustic and a great space for a group or dining solo! I really enjoyed the the food and drink specials. Love the patty melt the beef stroganoff and their amazing meatloaf is the bees knees. Their goofy goober punch and margarita are my favorite drinks. The appke butternburbon and the cookies and cream are my fav desert options in scoops and milk shake!

One of our favorite restaurants! Have been here many times and always leave loving the food and having a great overall experience. Our first visit here, all the staff wore flannels, and that pretty much sealed the deal for me! We love how they serve a variety of foods, desserts, and drinks. We were recently seated in the diner & malt shop space and it was so cute! With the weather being warmer out, they have plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor. They have a beautiful outdoor patio and balcony seating. All the food we’ve had has been amazing! (Not all are included in the photos) Definitely be sure to check out the specials on the back of the menu as they’re always changing. We’ve ordered almost everything on the menu over time and would recommend any of it. Their burgers are probably the most popular with us, but their sandwiches are also pretty amazing!

We haven't had an issue there yet. This place is amazing. I talked with one of their higher-ups (God help me if I spell this wrong) Mallory, and she was welcoming as well as hilarious. The whole staff feels like family. The food also does not disappoint. No matter what you get, you are in for a huge treat. I HIGHLY reccomend the Pimento Arancini as an appetizer. No matter who you are, where you are from, THIS is the place to be!

I cannot say enough about how great my experience was, but I will keep it brief and to the point. The atmosphere is very inviting, the staff is upbeat, friendly and polite especially our server (Kevin I believe). Most of all, the food is not just slapped together and thrown on the plate, our food was delicious and also visually appealing. My husband and I had a great experience when we decided to go have a burger today.

Met some friends here for dinner last Saturday night. What a gem! The only drawback was parking, although the neighborhood had plenty of open space nearby. Staff were very friendly. Quite an extensive selection of beers, great appetizers, dinner entrees and awesome burgers. We ordered the beer cheese appetizer, and various burgers for dinner, along with a meatloaf entree. The burgers were cooked to order and delicious, and the accompanying fries were hot, crispy and had just enough seasoning! The meatloaf looked and tasted awesome. My son ordered a chocolate shake from the adjacent malt shoppe with his dinner and it was the perfect thickness and chocolatey! I had the Kalamazoo Stout which was dark, rich, and creamy, with hints of coffee and chocolate. My wife really enjoyed the Fretboard Strawberry Blonde Ale. If you're in the area do not pass this place up!

The home of the cheeseburger!! This place was packed, and they kept coming in. The dining room was quite noisy due to the large groups of people!! We each tried a different item! We started with the bacon jam Brussel Sprouts they were good, not the best I've had but good. I choose the 80/20 burger with fries which was very good even the grilled pickled red onions it came on a pretzel bun. The Mrs. tried the classic cheeseburger on a potato bun which was so soft with onion rings, the only problem I saw was the cheese wasn't melted! (who doesn't melt cheese on their hamburgers)!! Our friends tried the Patty melt on Texas toast with mushrooms and her husband got the meatloaf with brown gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans. We chose to dine inside but they have a fabulous deck which looked great.
