This is the best chicken in town. Every time I go there every thing is consistent... The chicken is always hot and fresh. I don't care what time of day it is. Please stop sleeping on this location. Service is always good and professional. I'm going to be on cholesterol meds. If I keep messing with them 😁 I was a little disappointed with the rib tips. But I know I must stick with the chicken.
The peg legs are becoming smaller and smaller, although their prices have increased. They still taste good. Just be sure to check your order before driving away. I live 15 minutes away and paid for an order of wedges( I love those too). However, they weren't in my bag. I assumed they were due to the cashier asked me if I wanted ketchup. I didn't notice until a couple of hours later;my bad!
Their sweet tea is The Best!! Just wish they had lemon 🍋 packets! The chicken was hot and delicious. I also wish they had regular potato wedges... some people can't do spicy!

They have the best chicken. No place in Kentucky compares. Spicy chicken is the best all the way around the board. 2 piece snack box is under $8. Its perfect for lunchtime carry out have a drink though.
I’ve been coming to this Indis on 3rd street since I was 7-8 years old along with the rest of my family they have the best employees and the best spicy keel hands down! Always fresh greens are amazing wedges are great too. Love this place and love that it’s known as a Louisville staple. If you haven’t tried it your missing out!
Highly recommend. Spicy chicken is the best here, seasoned perfect for my taste. The hot sauce is a great blend of pepper sauce and vinegar that pairs with the chicken well. The greens are great, and the wedges are iconic.
Our family stopped in here on our way home from Easter shopping, and the gentleman who was waiting on us was extremely nice so very kind we appreciate your kindness,, and the chicken was absolutely delicious thank you so much it was fresh and the sides were fresh and hot , we were very pleased thank you 😊
Was in Louisville for a convention and Indies is one of my must go to every time I'm in the city hands down best chicken I have eaten the spicy chicken breast is a must try especially with the house made hot sauce the sides taste home made this place far exceeds any other chicken joint that I have been to and I have eaten at alot of different places if your in Louisville make a trip to Indies you won't leave disappointed.
