Nice little diner. Nothing fancy, but it's reasonably priced. Get what you pay for with food, and the staff are very wonderful.

Clean, well lit, warm and as cozy as a diner can be. The prices have finally come down and food quality UP - delicious. I was there for lunch, but can't wait to get back for breakfast. Rowdy kids? They even play movies. It's a NEW DAY at Twig & Leaf! Yum-Ohhhh.

Great scrambled eggs and coffee. This is not a fancy place, but they don’t rush you and they actually care about whether you are happy with your order.

Tomb of the Womb is the bomb! It's an open-faced double burger with chili with beans, melted cheese, lettice, onions, tomatoes, topped with sour cream! It will satisfy you and leave you craving for it again! Love it! It's one of my Top 10!

We went for breakfast and it was delicious, fast friendly courteous polite servers. I would prefer fried potatoes over tater tots. Otherwise, our experience was awesome! We'll be back again to try lunch :-)

I'm not sure if they seasoned the ham, but it was very salty, but still good. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy and she didn't care too much for the biscuits. She said the biscuits tasted like they weren't baked enough. But she liked the gravy. My eggs were cooked to perfection, somewhere between over easy and over medium. Service was quick and friendly.

The service was excellent here. I loved my country fried steak with the home fries, over easy eggs, and English muffin. My husband really loved the cheeseburger. Such a neat old school diner.

Great little place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had the Denver omelet and others had sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just a few booths and a some additional seats at the counter. Good food and great service!

Absolutely adore this place. Came here all the time with my grandpa when I lived with him. Need to visit more often. I came back a few months ago, after not going for a few years, the food is still just as good. May honestly be better. I'd need to go back soon and reform my opinion. Love y'all to the bottom of my heart.

My son and I love this place. It's fantastic if you just want to grab a decent breakfast to get your day started. No fancy coffee, no smashed avocado with salmon...just a massive selection of American favorites. Great place to go when you don't want to mess up your kitchen! *** Update April 2019 *** Popped in again for a quick breakfast and was not disappointed. Quick service and tasty, well-loved favorites. I wolfed down a southwest omelette and the boy had the "BEST french toast ever" - it was pretty darn good AND they have REAL Canadian maple syrup now too. DECENT!

The coffee is really dang good. The staff is friendly and service was fast and precise. I like people who interact with my kid and take considerations for that fact that he is so young (like bring his drink in a cup with a lid automatically or not bringing him a plate of food that is burning hot until it's cool enough for him to eat, AND bringing it out sooner so he doesn't have to wait very long). I got breakfast and it is really good, I will definitely be coming back. Food is inexpensive, love the diner atmosphere. Not a lot of stimulation, very calm homey kind of feel. I've been to this place off and on for years from a young age and I think its better now than ever. Parking was convenient too. It's a cold night out but we are warm in here even sitting by the window. And my kid is eating his food! Which is kind of rare, so WIN! I recommend for sure!

Great location. And Twig and Leaf has been around for a long time; it is a designated landmark. It's a diner and the menu reflects it's lineage. The food is good, not fancy and not quite up to the standards of a good greasy spoon. Breakfast anytime is always a plus and they do it well. Nothing fancy, the French toast is done right with some powdered sugar on top for presentation. Bacon is crispy and eggs cooked the way you want them; over medium was just that. My wife had the chicken sandwich and fries - LOVED the sandwich, but the onion rings appeared to be from freezer to deep fat fryer. Great views from your booth with floor to ceiling windows looking right out onto Bardstown Road and Douglass circle. It's clean with molded seatlets at the bar and booths with the same molded seats/tables. The seating isn't uncomfortable, though I never really got comfortable. Service was okay. Our server took our order and got it, but she wasn't happy to be there. My guess is that she was working because she had to; granddaughter of the owner. I walked so I can't swear to the parking situation though there is street parking and there's a bus stop right outside the front door. 3 stars as a restaurant, but as a Highlands landmark with good not great food (except the chicken sandwich), it's a 4 star.
