We have been trying to get in here to celebrate special occasions for months. I'm thankful we got in to celebrate my birthday as many other restaurants were closed. The strip steak was amazing smooth, buttery, and well seasoned. The glazed carrots were dreamy.
Everything was great. The deviled eggs appetizer was delicious. The flight of Weller was a must do for any bourbon lover. The three medallion entree was tender with fantastic flavor. Overall a great experience.
We went here for my son's birthday last weekend. We had an amazing experience! There was a saxophone player who played happy birthday, and they brought out a beautiful birthday dessert as well. I would highly reccomend!
WOW !!
Went here to celebrate my 50th birthday , and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we have ever had ! My wife sent my Brother and I to stay right outside of downtown Louisville so that we could enjoy the Bourbon experience here. While this establishment is a little away from the area, it is so worth it and I highly recommend going there. They had an overwhelming Bourbon selection that I have never seen anywhere else ! We tried some flights and a couple of single glasses . Maggie our waitress was amazing and extremely attentive, and so was the staff with overall phenomenal customer service ! The atmosphere in there was so pleasant with a live Jazz musician playing for the restaurant and bar to add to the ambience ! All the food was absolutely delicious ,but I've never seen the attention to detail for the way their steaks are recommended. Maggie advised us that the largest filet was very thick and that in ordering it medium rare,it would likely come out more rare in the center. She recommended keeping that way for the taste & texture, but that we would have options if not pleased . Cross cutting that steak while eating it and enjoying the encrusted seasoning, along with the varying degrees of temperature throughout made that steak one of the best most tasty steaks I've ever had ! Thanks Maggie for the recommendation !
The Colossal baked potato is just that ,and the Shepherd's pie was also amazing and complimented the steaks ! I've been to many steak places in my life ,but the overall experience here made it probably the best ! Highly recommend visiting if in the area !!
Amazing date night with my husband and friends. We were celebrating Allison's Birthday. The food was wonderful. Great place for a date night.
Live music was a nice surprise. Remember to tip the musicians if you also enjoy.
The steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Housemade steak sauce was also a hit. The salmon was cooked to order and was a surprisingly large cut.
Our server was friendly and gave great recommendations.
Restaurant lighting was a little dim. I saw several patrons using the flashlights on their phones. Backlit menus could help.
I wish we saved room for dessert because they looked delicious.
I know it's hard not to get a steak at a stake house, but this (pictured) pork chop is one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, and so tender. The wedge salad looked amazing, and my side of corn pudding was also very good.
We will definitely be back. I'll get a steak next time, but it will be hard to say no to the pork chop.
The service was excellent, top notch. Everyone was professional & friendly. We all had a great time.
One of the best experiences we have had in a while. The food was fabulous. The crab cake was a definit highlight. Service was exceptional.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with the family. Will definitely be back...
The food and drinks are incredible!!! Service was excellent. I ordered the ribeye with shepherds pie (potato side choice) and brussel sprouts. I didn’t get a pic of the shrimp cocktail but it was also delicious. The Grey Goose, dirty martinis were phenomenal!! 🤩
This is the place to be in Louisville! Reservations are almost required. We got there on a Monday night shortly before 5 PM when they open, and people were door-busting to get in the place. I certainly see why. The bar was completely full by 5:30 PM and every table was full by the time we left. They have so many good options when it comes to steaks including a 12-ounce filet. The mac and cheese was good and the mashed potatoes were exceptional! It is a bit pricey, but no complaints as the value was great with large portion sizes. The service was also fantastic. I cannot wait to come back next time we’e in Louisville.
We came here for a celebratory dinner and had such a great time! Our server was prompt and also very funny which made for a great overall experience. The food was delicious, especially the lobster bisque and deviled egg appetizers. We had a full course meal and will definitely be back soon!
We went for our 35th wedding Anniversary, My husband had the 14oz rib eye and baked potato..perfectly cooked to medium and the flavor was so, so good. The baked potato was huge and could have fed both of us. I had the Halibut...omgosh it was so delicious with rich flavors and so tender, light, and flaky. The spinach and artichoke dip was spot on and so good. I, definitely, recommend this place for special occasions. We will come back and try some other dishes. Our waiter was fabulous and on top of drink refills and food suggestions. They had live music with a guy who played nice and smooth Jaz Christmas music on his saxophone. It was a fabulous evening. THANK YOU!
Excellent experience, checked off every mark. My server was patient and attentive, my medium rib eye was perfectly cooked, those lump crab deviled eggs were amazing. Had a bourbon flight, all good. Honestly cant wait to come back here when l visit my child at U of L
As far as cost wise, I feel like there are better quality steaks and cheaper location.(Yes we eat a lot of steak) We did 2 appetizers, 2 Entrées, 1 drink, and 1 dessert. $209(tip not included)
Quality-(Apps)IThe crab deviled eggs were my favorite. My S.O. Really Enjoyed the Steak and Cheese hand Pies.
He ordered the 14oz Ribeye , I had the land and Sea combo with a crab cake and filet medallions. The Crab Cake was the better one of the 2 things, The Sheppards Pie side was delicious as well as the Au Gratin Potatoes.
We did a Crème Brûlée for dessert, which was also amazing.
Service- Our Server Jordyn was Outstanding. If you go in and eat, ask for her.. You won't be sorry!
Some of the most delicious food I've come across in a while. Our server was excellent. We had a large party but she was right on it all night.
We took a road trip to Louisville from Chicago for my birthday weekend. I can’t rave enough about this establishment. The decor, drink selection, service, and food were all top notch. I highly recommend choosing the shepherds pie as your choice of spud with your steak. It’s mixed with braised short rib and gravy. I’ve never seen that as an option at a steakhouse and it tastes incredible. Love this place!
Celebrated my birthday with my sister. First time and LOVED it. The best part is the staff super friendly, and they celebrated us too, with a dessert for our birthday!!
Food and drinks were amazing. It was so good, I gifted a friend a gift card to try their brunch on Sunday. Can't wait to go back with my husband.
