Huge fan of this place, i honestly don't know where to begin, the staff is amazing. Food is exactly what I expect from a buffet. Again, the staff here are excellent! I'm talking my drink never got half empty, on top of that, someone also always has a rag in their hand cleaning various things. Ill be back forsure! A+++ the rating on here should be at least a 4.0 i don't understand how they could be a 3.5 star, they are way to amazing!
East Star has great food with pleasant & friendly service. The owner JoAnn often greats us warmly & Selena is a sweet & attentive waitress. I have no complaints & recommend East Star 100%.
For around $11.00 on a weekend not bad price. The service was great, with refills and plate removal done quickly. The workers were cleaning when not doing anything else. A couple food items seem a bit old but most everything was good overall.

Food is always good. Last time I ate here the food on buffet was warm, when I told the waitress she kindly had staff prepare more food. Would eat here again! My father in law gets carry out from here at least twice a month and he loves it!
Always had good food and the owners were always welcoming and the server always greeted you with a smile im really gonna miss them I hate that it closed
They are one of the few places in Louisville Metro that offer my favorite chicken. Coconut Chicken (no it doesn't taste like coconut, yuck!) They always have a clean environment including bathrooms! Prices are affordable as well!!
The employees were awesome and friendly. Would definitely frequent this establishment again! They made fresh food upon request. Such a great atmosphere! The food was delicious and the buffet is fairly priced. 5 stars for East Star Buffet!!!
The staff was the best of any Chinese restaurant I have been to. Little things like getting us a high chair without having to ask, helping my other son push in his chair. Plates where always cleared and drinks filled.
The coconut chicken, noodles, and mushrooms where really good. Some other things like the sushi weren't my favorite, it had a mustard sauce that I didn't care for. But overall everyone found something they liked
Very good food. Tonight I realized one of the things I love. The green olives. I never get enough olives. I'm the only one is my house that will eat them. I know to not buy a jar for me. I would eat the whole thing in no time. At East Star Buffet, I get to have some. The rest of the food is great, but I really look forward to the green olives.
