I just wanted to take a moment to give a review for Josie's. I wanted a breakfast burrito today. Unfortunately, another local taco shop changed their hours to 9 am? From what the Dad said, the son is to lazy and doesn't want to come in early. So sad, but great for Josie's. I ordered the Big Mama Breakfast burrito with sausage. The cashier was so insightful when I asked, "how spicy is the hot sauce?" She said, it was mild, but she would put it on the side. Awesome!
It is the little things in customer service that keep customers. This used to be the standard in service when I began working decades ago. Now these kids just stare at you until you ask them, can I order?
Something, "John" the manager needs to learn. I read a bad review and he offered excuses for his behavior. Apologize to the customer, never offer an excuse, never admonished your employee(s) in the presence of customers or other employee(s). You are the manager, deal with the situation, you are the leader. Remain clam. Offer an apology to other customers if the are delayed and explain simply, "I am so sorry for the wait. We had a large order come in." The person with the large order. We would be happy to fill the order. We are however a little busy, so it may take around 30 minutes to complete. May I offer you a free drink while you wait?" Everyone please understand, it is not about you. It is about the business you represent. If you are in customer service, don't get offended if we simply air an opinion. I bet if the situation was handled the way I suggested. That review would have been how good the customer service was and the food. Not about John. Who is taking way to much of this review. lol
I digress, and expect a comment from John. : o
Anyway, took my order home. OMG, they have really good coffee. I wish I would have eaten there to have more. The burrito was great, except they do not fold in the ends? It was like a huge folded taco. Don't get me wrong, John, the burrito was soooo GOOD! The customer service person was GREAT! When she handed me the burrito I had to look in the bag, because it felt like a small child was in the bag (two burritos). The burrito was delicious. If it was made by John, thank you, but I heard Hispanic ladies in the kitchen speaking Spanish. Anyway, just a picky point on my side about the burrito not being folded. I am going back when I want a breakfast burrito. No doubt!
Please do not take offense anyone to my comments about John, I am so sorry that customer service has become an after thought in our society. When I received good customer service, I like to praise that person. I do not however ask for a name. Because people get scared when you ask what is normal in the past, as "he is going to complain about me on social media."
went in at 7 a.m staff was very family oriented which is what I love about a place. Ordered a ham, potatoe, chorizo and cheese burrito and it was one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a while, salsa was also on point. If I wasn't a poor college student definitely would have tipped more
Where do I start....things have changed at MJ's. The quality and quantity of the burritos have dropped tremendously. I used to love there burritos now it's a Love hate relationship! But I keep going back because to me it's comfort food and I have to give them 4 stars. I'm a fan and I can't quit them. Hopefully the burritos get better and bigger like they used to be.
