We found out about this place through FB, I think. Something about a $10 large pie on Tuesdays. The place is about a half block off of sunrise hwy. A small neighborhood pizza place. The pizza is pretty good. Absolutely perfect crust and sauce, good amount of cheese but NOT salty. It was a mind blowing experience. I always thought pizza was required to be salty! They also have frozen meals for $5 so we got one to go to test out. Everyone working there is really nice. This place isn't very close to my home, but the quality is good enough and the prices low enough to have me drive by 10 pizza places to get there, and it's definitely worth the trip!
Solid Sicilian and Neopolitan slice. Great sauce great price!
It was my first time going there. I ordered take out. Upon arrival the cashier attended to me immediately.. the Pizza was awesome..
We came from Bay Shore on a recommendation. Every time I pass this way coming home now - I will stop to pick up the $6 prepared meals - and the Specials of the day. The sauce is as Homemade Italian Old School delicious and fresh as you can get & I was born in the Bronx and raised in Bay Ridge. We haven't had the pizza yet - can't wait .....but we ordered many variety of the prepared / frozen meals and all were great! The Lasagna was made with homemade pasta noodles. Bring them home for your shut-in neighbors or elderly family members to have in the fridge and stock your freezer for the days no one feels like cooking. You will save a TON of $$$$ for those nights lol. Check out the prices on his 1/2 trays too - incredible! - Bob
Delicious food, great prices with a friendly and helpful staff. 5 delicious frozen dinners for $30? Who does that? Joey's!
Love this place. My new go to spot for pizza! Great old school vibe. Can’t beat two slices and a drink for $5. Thank you for keeping the prices low. Crust is so good. Will be back soon :)
Joey's pizza is the best! Crust is so delicious and their staff so efficient. Joey keep doing what you are doing for our neighborhood! Just Great :))
Searched and found a local pizza spot on the way from JFK. Planned on getting a few slices but ended up getting a whole pie. It didnt take long at all. There were a few people cooking and seemed like a lot of volume. Everything smelled delicious and would have loved to try more. Pizza was very good, especially the crust. The sauce was good but wasnt my favorite. Had a Long Island bias that i cant explain, coming from a Brooklyn boy. Meatballs were good too.
Delicious and well prepared pizza with exceptionally fresh ingredients. Not a ritzy establishment but a great place to have interactions with staff who express interest in the gastronomic satisfaction of their customers while serving excellent take out. I will absolutely return and have this as my "go to" spot for Italian cuisine.
Really tasty food served by warm and friendly people. Great value for money. Eggplant and meatball Parm hero was so good.
