I come from a big Italian family on my mother's side so Italian food was a staple in my home growing up. I moved from Philly to Lynchburg 2 years ago and wish I had found this place sooner!! First I want to say how amazing the staff and service was. Very friendly, knowledgeable, efficient!! The foid was really good as well as the pricing. My husband and I got the calamari appetizer. The calamari was really fresh, tender, and lightly breaded. It could have used a little more seasoning but otherwise it was really good. I got the Veal Parmesan. Our waitress explained that they get the slab and it is butchered there. It was the best veal parm I've had in a really long time. It was melt in your mouth tender. Just the right amount of mozzarella cheese and the sauce was ample and seasoned well. I enjoyed the side of spaghetti that came with it as well. My husband got the gnocchi with tomato sauce. I had a few and they were wonderful. They are handmade ricotta gnocchi so they are light and fluffy, yet very filling. The only thing we were not crazy about was the Caesar salad. It had too much cheese compared to dressing. It didn't matter to us though bc our entrees were so good. This will definitely be a regular spot for us!
I went here for the first time for a friend’s birthday. We couldn’t have been more pleased. A very cozy place with authentic Italian cuisine. Everything was delicious and the music in the background was great. Nancy waited on us and she was impeccable. The friendly service we received put it over the top and made it a dining experience we won’t soon forget. 100% recommend!
So I have been coming here for a very, very long time and it's an experience every single visit. The pizza is divine, the bread/oil is perfect, and the family is an absolute treasure. We also ordered the giant pizza, cheese with extra cheese, two times now and it is immaculate and delicious again and again. I love you guys!
Owned and operated by the most wonderful family! I feel like I'm back home with my Italian family every time I eat there. Filippo is an excellent chef and prepares the best, most authentic Italian food. Monte Carlo is also a very family-friendly restaurant. My kids grew up loving it and now it is a must stop when the grandchildren come to town, especially at Christmas when the decorations are delightful!
My husband and I just finished eating at the Monte Carlo for the first time and we are absolutely blow away! The best food in town, amazing service, and such a precious atmosphere. If you haven’t been yet, just go I promise you will not be disappointed!
One of the best restaurants I have ever experienced. The food, service, friendliness is all outstanding. Whether you order a pizza or entrees, you are going to taste some great flavors. Filippo brings the outstanding Italian cooking in your town. My favorite remains their veal marsala :).

I have driven by this place many of times and tonight I finally decided to stop in and give them a try. I am glad I did! Everything was perfect; from the layout and the ambience of it to the food. The staff was friendly and always smiling. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that loves Italian cuisines. Definitely try the II Diavolo. It was fabulous. I will be eating here more often.
Some of the best pizza in Lynchburg, very authentic food and decor
I tried Monte Carlo for the first time in a very long time. The Food and service were top notch. My wife ordered Veal Sorrentina her favorite. I had Chicken Parmesan it was the best I'd had thus far. The food is so fresh and the owners make you feel at home.
My wife and I just had the best chicken parmesan dinner with Cesar salad.. The best Italian restaurant in the Lynchburg area.

Ate here for the first time this evening. Was not disappointed. Great food. Cannelloni was delicious. Service was great. Prices were very reasonable. We will def be back. Grazie per una deliziosa cena!

I lived in Italy for 2 years and learned what real Italian food is. Monte Carlo is genuine! When I want Italian food it is the only place I go.
Best around. Family run business at its finest. Great service. Wonderful food. Monte Carlo has been one of my favorites for over 20 years.
Whenever I step into Monte Carlo, I feel as though I've stepped back in time .. back to the Old World Europe. Filippo and his family have always made us feel like family and he actually would create my husband's special request with ease. As fellow business owners, we would often refer our lodging guests to MC and they'd be pleased as well. Thank you, Filippo, for providing a great atmosphere with great food😊
I love the food here but it needs a more hip atmosphere. Get rid of the dated room and go to concrete floors, naked wooden tables/booths, and serve the food in a more trendy and sustainable presentation. GET A BAR!!! I fear this drab, quiet room is hurting your endeavor.
PLAY POPULAR MUSIC AND PLAY IT LOUD. Every other guest should not be hearing what my conversation and nor should I hear their's.

Our server was the best ever. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was great and inexpensive. This proves you can provide great food and service at a reasonable price.

What a hidden gem! The waitstaff was wonderful and the food was amazing. I wish I took a picture of the pile of garlic knots that we had before the meal... Baked to perfection! We had a party of nine and nobody had a bad meal. The gnocchi and tortellini were delicious in a nice bolognais sauce. The pizza was delicious and the lasagna was great. I've not had such tender meatballs since the ones my Italian grandmother used to make for me. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
Always love stopping by and getting some food from monte Carlos! So close to where I live and it’s not badly priced. 😋
Food and service was excellent!! Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I love the vibe it has of an Italian restaurant you’d see in an old school movie. The food is served with a tin covering to keep it warm. The server lit a candle when she sat us down. It’s the little details that made the experience great. 10/10 recommend.
