The Chile rellenos are my favorite! I love them with rice and refried beans! The cheese on top is perfection! El Sombrero is the best place to meet friends and dine on the best Mexican food in Macon. ❤️
The owner, management and staff went above and beyond for my group of 38 for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Not only did all of my guests get treated like royalty the food was delicious, hot and ready for us when we arrived. We all drove 5 hours to this wedding and rehearsal and had only discussed arrangements with the restaurant owner over the phone and through email.
I truly appreciate the great food and hospitality. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.
This is the only place I will go to when I am craving Mexican food. It's an hour away from where I live but it's well worth the drive. The food is amazing, and the management and staff are very polite and helpful.
I love going to this El Somebro and I will recommend this location out of all in Macon. The salsa is to die for and the margaritas is amazing all other Mexican restaurant I've went to don't fix good margaritas, they be to weak for the price. There grilled shrimp has a great season as well
What I Love about Elsombrero is that they do not have meat in there beans. So this is a great place to eat if you are a vegetarian, or you do not like to eat pork. also they have wheat shells to offer, so you have a healthier choice. The service is great and the food is even better! Best salsa you'll ever find!
Great food and service. Portion of steak in my husband's Carne Asada was bigger than other local places for that dish. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. I have always enjoyed salsa at El Sombreros because it is mild. First time at this location. Only complaint is the medium margarita was about half the "tequila strength" of those at other local Mexican places. It was fine with me because I don't drink much now but in my "party days" that would have been a serious issue ! I will always love the El Sombrero restaurants!!
We stopped through town today on way back to FL and read all the wonderful reviews so we had to try it. Sat at the bar, had lunch and a margarita and everything was so good. Our server was awesome! Would go back again, for sure!

I cannot express how amazing El Sombrero is!! From their amazing staff, customer service, and tasty food it is all amazing! They catered an event at my work and it by far exceeded our expectations. Everything was so good and constantly had people tell us how awesome it was. Thank you so much for everything! Will definitely be using them for every taco Tuesday event we have!
