I'm posting this just after wolfing down The pork ribs, pulled pork, collard greens, coleslaw, and corn bread. The ribs are great, the perfect amount of bite and smokiness. The pulled pork was excellent. I recommend the hot BBQ sauce, it's not too spicy but is mustard based and has the right amount of tang. Both meats are good with and without the sauce. Collard greens were on point. The coleslaw was pretty good, and the corn bread was ok. Get there early because the sell out quickly. The guy and his son were very friendly.

My favorite place in Macon for fresh off the grill barbeque ribs. Tender, nice size, seasoned to perfection. . . tasty even w/out sauce. Bread and chips added. Very reasonably priced!!

The service was great - family owned. We ate there for the first time on 8/8/15 after my wife saw a writeup in Macon Magazine. Being from Texas, she had to try it. We all loved the food. They had kids menu offerings as well.

Spending the day in Macon and it was time for lunch. My daughter pulled up Google and found Joe-Bear & Sons. Great choice. Looks like the family keeps a lot of positions staffed. Food was excellent, service as fast, and the restaurant was very clean. Worth traveling a little out of your way for Joe-Bear & Sons.

I'm always at Joe-Bear and Sons, great people, good food. Had them cater my daughter's 12th birthday party and the kids ate it all. You should try it soon, you will love it.
