Extremely classy, one of the largest martini menus I’ve seen at a martini bar, plus plenty of other menu items. Bartender was awesome and friendly too!
I was very excited to try this placed based of the reviews. Myself and two other friends went to this bar around 8:30pm on a Saturday and ended up staying for a few hours!
The atmosphere was nice, people were there to talk and have some great drinks. The music was great, mostly classics were played until about 10:30, then it was current music.
We ended up ordering the $4 old fashion, which was very reasonable. We also ordered the passion fruit, LAX, Flirtini, pomegranate and razzberry martinis. All were pretty good, especially the passion fruit one. I wouldn't recommend the banana martini, it was overpowering.
There was an upstairs dance floor, which I was looking forward to. Unfortunately they said its only open on Thursdays, which was a little bummer.
I would recommend going here for sure. It is our new favorite bar.
We went on a Saturday night , where they had this Friends trivia playing. It was a fun place and the dance floor was really cool. The drinks were really awesome.we had the Cosmopolitan, Teddy doesn't know and some margarita. I would recommend Teddy if you want something strong to knock you over quick.
Great Martini drinks, used to go here while in college. Definitely has a different vibe than your regular bar. Appetizers aren't outstanding but ok for bar food. Location tends to be a challenge for many people to find because it's tucked in behind a couple big buildings. Worth a visit if you get there early. Their martini prices go up hourly through the night.
Basic bar food like pizza and fried food, excellent Martinis that are cheaper earlier on, so it's a great place to start the night! Watch out for the Snake Juice shots, they're intense but fun! They also have a dance floor that opens later at night.
Great spot to have a drink with friends. Thursdays they have Latin night which is always a good time. On Saturdays, it's Hip Hop night. They specialize in Martinis. Bartenders are cool. If you decide to go ask for K. Cole.
Everything is stellar at BVL: the staff are friendly and attentive, the space is cozy, the location is perfect, the atmosphere is A1, and (of course) the alcohol - martini menu, mainly - is incredible. I didn't think I liked martinis until I went to Blue Velvet. Consider me a newfound regular.
