Thank you to the chef, hostess, our waitress, and entire staff for making it such a perfect night. The drinks were phenomenal, the food was even better (try the pineapple curry and shrimp dish!), the view from our table was amazing, and they kept the proposal to come a very good secret. � We ended our dinner by cruising down the PCH a bit further, walking onto the beach, and getting engaged. Perfect night!
Exquisite views and delicious food. A pescatarian heaven 😍 I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice meal with an ocean view.

Everything from the way the valet smiled when he picked up the car, the cheerful hostess who seated us and the fabulous server, Javier, who explained everything we asked in detail, was perfect. The filet mignon was prepared EXACTLY the way I ordered it. The beef Carpaccio was just OK. But the over all atmosphere and great service was exemplary! Kudos to Javier for making our meal a meal we could remember fondly.
Great food with awesome views of the Pacific Ocean. My husband and I split a 16 oz ribeye and it was juicy and cooked exactly how I ordered it. Would have liked to see a side salad included, but the entree came with fingerling potatoes and garlic spinach.
Had a delicious pina colada and creme brûlée to top off the meal. My son recommended the restaurant and we were not disappointed!

Great overall experience. We wound up eating at the bar, where you can sit and smell the pacific, watch the sunset. Food was delicious and fresh, bartender was charming. We had, lobster salad, hamachi sushi app, almond crusted tuna and crab/shrimp linguine. All good and well prepared. We’ll be back.

You can't go wrong in Malibu, at least not here. My family came in from out of town and wanted to go to Malibu. Reservations were easy. Service was quick and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. We had a quick lunch here and while there was a crowd we were seated and served quickly.
Let me start by sharing that everyone from the valet, to the reservation check in, the hostess, and other staff went above and beyond with service. Our server made excellent drink recommendations. The panoramic views were absolutely breathtaking. There were 4 of us and everything we ordered was perfection.
Adequate-to-good seafood in a world class ambiance. Service was top notch. No dish in particular was life changing.
The most memorable part of the night was the elegance of the dining room and the view.
If you’re used to fresh new england lobster I’d recommend looking further.

One of the most mentioned places in Malibu, and rightfully so—the view is absolutely breathtaking. The food is just fine, serving as an add-on to the main attraction, which is undoubtedly the stunning view. Ideal for celebrations, the combination of the picturesque scenery and decent food makes it a great option for a date night as well. Me and my friend, we stayed a bit longer and had the chance to witness the view transform from before sunset to after—it's an experience worth trying, especially if you, like me, love the beauty of a sunset!

Very romantic low lighted atmosphere. Place is a lot bigger on the inside. Made reservations here for my birthday. Parking was easy, there was valet parking or street parking available.
The food was perfect, along with the drinks! Good variety of foods to choose from. Amazing service from the staff. The views of the ocean were beautiful at night, while you ate you could hear the ocean waves crashing against the building. Highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner spot.

Gorgeous view. Food is fine it's good not great. Everyone is friendly food took a while to come out. I would go again only for drinks. I am a food snob so take this with a grain of salt
My host at the door was amazing. She offered me 2 choices of tables to watch the sunset. I wish I got her name..service was great. Surf and turf was good but was missing just a little something. The cheese cake was amazing. Views of the ocean and sunset could not be any better. Price was on point with those views and service... if I ever get back to malibu I'll be going back to moonshadows.

We had plans to visit PCH and see Point Dume, so we made reservations to have lunch here along the way. We went on a very busy Sunday, not only was this place packed, but getting there from Marina Del Rey was slow-going in all the traffic on PCH too. Once there, we were greeted and seated with a smile and we chose to dine on the deck over-looking the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean just a few feet below. It was a true treat as the view was amazing, but hearing the waves was equally as appealing!
The menu for brunch has all the basics for brunch, but also some nice items for lunch as well. We chose their Roasted Organic Red & Yellow Beet Salad with shrimp added and the Miso Glazed Black Cod and both were presented very nicely and tasted excellent!
As a “man of color” I can tell you that the service was great during our visit, we weren’t rushed and refills of ice tea was frequent. Additionally, we were treated very nice, as we all the guest interactions we witnessed around us. Highly suggest making reservations and visiting when in the area!
I absolutely love Moonshadows. We had the Lobster Linguini, the pumpkin ravioli, and their Clam chowder as a starter. So delicious. Their espresso martini was delicious. Never a bad experience here and our waiter Ben was so nice. Perfect date night location with gorgeous views any time of day.
The food and atmosphere are great at Moonshadows. We had tuna tartare, sweet lobster ceasar salad and half a dozen oysters. The Ceasar dressing was really light so we did require a bit extra but otherwise the food was excellent. The restaurant is located directly on the waterfront so we were able to enjoy the views and the patio heaters kept us comfortable. The service was quite disappointing though. Our server never came back to check on us and was barely around if we needed something. But other than that it was a great experience and I'll definitely return.

What an amazing restaurant. The customer service from staff and especially Charles was top notch. Our waiter for the evening Charles was so professional and helpful and much respect to him. The food was super delicious and so fresh with extrondiany flavours. The views and atmosphere was magnificent and I would highly recommend others to come here and eat the vast selection of dishes. I definitely would come back and advise others to try. It was a truly lovely experience by the sea. Thank you for the service.
A nice coastal seafood restaurant on Pacific Highway up to Malibu. Parking is valet only for about $12 when Inwent there. The food is pretty classic with a slight Asian flair. I completely forgot to take a photo, but the Miso Cod is outstanding here! Super flaky and great portion. We also got some Oysters and the Shrimp Salad. Pretty clean eats, but the Miso Cod is the way!
You can also make reservations ahead of time too. When we went it wasn't too busy though.
The california style bouillabaisse was definitely worth every penny. It was just right and so delicious!! The black cod was ok. We had 3 appetizers:
Spicy ahi tuna tartar - was great
Octopus carpaccio - was not that great because had so much greens but barely and octopus
Tender barbecue octopus- was delicious
If you are in the neighborhood I would definitely recommend to get the california style bouillabaisse!
The valet parking that is part of the restaurant is pretty sad because they except only cash:(
Wonderful food, great service, and a spectacular view. Our favorite dish was their special which was a seafood tower. It was the best we've had anywhere. :) I especially enjoyed their lobster and crab linguine, clam chowder, and teramisu. This place is truly a treat.
