OH MY GOD! Some of the best food and service I have EVER had/experienced!!! Just a great experience all around! I don’t even know where to start with this review, there are so many good things about Public House! The food is absolutely off the chain! The Double Decker Melt is one of the BEST Burgers I have ever had! The burger patties are HUGE, seasoned and cooked to perfection! Normally big burger patties are just big, usually dry and/or tasteless, not these! The Fried Brussel Sprouts are a thing of beauty! They were perfectly crispy and flavorful! Now the cherry on top of all this is the above and beyond service! The staff are super friendly, extremely helpful and flexible! They are willing to accommodate requests, they regularly check on you and are just all around GREAT!! If you happen to be in Manassas you should definitely do yourself a favor and check out Public House!! I can’t wait to get back!!

We chose the beer cheese as a starter. And when it arrived I knew we were in for a treat! Soft pretzel dippers and smooth, silky cheese dip; what's not to love? For our entrees I chose biscuits and gravy and my husband chose the Public Benny. The biscuits are scratch made as is the sausage gravy. It also came with crispy, delicious home fries and two eggs cooked to order. My over-medium eggs were prepared perfectly. The Benny had perfectly poached eggs, arugula, tomatoes, beef tenderloin and hollandaise over a homemade biscuit. Both entrees were delicious!

Pretty good place to eat. When we ate there we decided to eat outside on the sidewalk area. If I had known the service was going to be slower I would have ate inside. The server was okay she just had to be asked to get anything we needed. She really didn’t ever come check on us without us waving her down. The food however was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We will be back but will probably sit inside next time.
I'm so glad we found this gem so close to home. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect. The fries were very tasty. Our burgers were super good. The prices were incredibly reasonable. We will definitely be back.
Always pleased with the food at Public house, went for brunch last week, and called for a table for 6, which was ready and waiting when we got there. Fast, friendly service.
Great food and service and a nice atmosphere. I ordered the Battle Burger, is was very juicy and flavorful, fries were pretty good. My wife got the Gouda Mac & Cheese and said it was amazing. Will be returning.
My wife and I decided to try this place after going to the old courthouse for early voting. We have always eaten at a few of the adjacent restaurants but we wanted to try something different! The end result was…Different is GOOD!
The first time experience was great! The staff was very friendly and professional! They were very knowledgeable and their food recommendations were SPOT ON!
My dish was the the double deck melt burger and it DID NOT disappoint! My wife had the smoked salmon sandwich with roasted Brussels Spouts which was just as good!
Finally, we finished our meal with dessert! I tried the double chocolate brownie Sunday…but my wife’s bread pudding was EXCEPTIONAL! I don’t really like bread pudding….But I’ll eat the one at this place!
Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!
The best spot in old town bar wise in my opinion. It is always a good experience and the service, food and drinks are always on point. Staff is very friendly and always answers questions that we have. Good selection of bottles and draft that are decently priced, wide variety for everyone. The wings are always delicious, especially the maple chipotle. New brunch menu is fantastic! 10/10 would recommend, also dog friendly on the patio.

Absolutely incredible food. Whether you want to eat light or heavy, this place has what you are looking for. Nice selection of beer, great service and an awesome ambiance. If I return for business this will be the first restaurant on my list.

We had a lovely time eating at Public House. My partner and I live here and we brought our friends into Manassas to explore—we landed here! Our server was friendly and attentive; we had all the water we wanted. I also had a nice rosé and my partner had a canned cider that he said he liked.
For dinner, I chose the beet and goat cheese salad and I added grilled chicken to it. You can also add steak, I believe, and maybe some sort of seafood. I have some dietary restrictions, so it can be difficult for me to find something yummy, especially at a pub, but this worked well! For GF folks, note that the chili on the menu now, which I was also considering, isn’t safe and contains wheat as a thickener—the server asked the kitchen for me.
My partner had appetizers for dinner, nachos and the wings with Old Bay. He said they were great!
We had seats outside by Battle Street. I loved the atmosphere there. Only one problem: the random muscle cars and motorcycles cruising historic downtown and revving for absolutely no reason. It’s obnoxious and fun for no one but the driver. I’m sorry to say it but when people are trying to enjoy an evening out and that happens, you can barely hear anything. It’s certainly not the pub’s fault, though. I will take friends back here again!
Fun place! The server was really good. She answered all our questions about the menu and made really good beer suggestions for our chosen dinners. Had 15 or so beers on tap from local breweries. The seating area was a little small but they did it well. Food was really good! Check this place out! Cheers!
Quaint local bar/pub. Nice selection of tap beers and bottle/can choices. Very nice atmosphere definitely a local hangout with friendly people and great service. The mussels were something special. Asked if chef could add pasta to garlic wine sauce and toss with mussels.
Manager agreed to try, and the dish was just like something from Sicily! Came with a baguette for sauce dipping and shaved Parma
I prefer grated Parma but it was still great. Desert was also very, very good (Lemmonchello cake with marscopone icing). Can't beat it for the price. Will definitely be back to try more beers and food.
We sat on the patio on Saturday night and had a very enjoyable time. Listened to the band playing while we relaxed. Good selection for drinks, apps, and entrees. Waiter was nice and got our orders correct. Poutine app was delicious especially the gravy. The bourbon glaze salmon and Greek salad with chicken were both very good entrees. Will definitely return and eat there again!
The best bar in town. All the food is great. No wrong menu item. Great cocktails. Friendly staff. Owner has his head on right.
We had an excellent brunch. The chicken and waffles and chicken benny were perfection and our little guy DEVOURED his quiche. We'll 100% be back!
Food was great! Service was great! Atmosphere was ok. Kind of a smaller seating area so everything is right near the bar area. Kind of a noisy atmosphere if you are just trying to sit down and enjoy a meal.
