HONEST STAR RATING.... 3.5 :-/ I bumped my stars to 4 since the price was very reasonable.
Starting off with the GOOD: The chicken was fantastic. It was well seasoned, moist and served piping hot. The plantains were crispy on the outside sweet and tender inside - Perfect in my opinion.
The DISAPPOINTING: The yellow sauce tasted like mayonaise... Not at all what I am used to in a Peruvian chicken restaurant. The green sauce was okay, but missing something. The rice was scorched and inedible. I hope this was just an off-day if was full of dry chicken pieces and hard egg...UGH.
OTHER STUFF: The restaurant is dated (I don't care about that) but very clean. There was a revolving door of diners the entire 45 minutes I sat and ate. Clearly, this is a popular place. ALSO, I didn't have any issues with the staff as I saw many complain about in previous reviews.
As someone who had tried just about every Peruvian chicken spot between Manassas & Woodbridge, nothing beats Super chicken. Their food, their portions and the PRICE is the best.
The experience at this location was decent. The food is authentic and pretty good. Many of the sides on the menu were unavailable and not in-stock during my visit. The chicken was good (rotisserie). The portion sizes were also good. The pricing was higher than expected compared to the value.
We have been coming here for Peruvian chicken for several years now and it had become our go to. Other places can't compare. This is a must try place if you are into Peruvian.
This is likely the best tasting Peruvian style chicken in all of Manassas. Their green and yellow sauces are also truly traditional. The flavors all seem to come from the original and classic (and often duplicated) recipe from Trujillo, Peru, as opposed to the way some places try to guess what spices and quantities to use. The visit was good, I ordered the 1/4 chicken meal with yucca and plantains. The yucca was done properly not dried put. The plantains were nice and juicy as well and had a little crunch around the edges how I like it. The chicken was moist as well so it hadn't been sitting out long. They gave me plenty of the white sauce which is everyone's favorite. The green sauce did not look good like it was spoiled other than that this is a good place for lunch or dinner.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Never ordered from Super Chicken, saw a few positive reviews and decided to try it. Under $17 for a whole chicken plus a ton of fries and a salad? Ate 1/2, plenty left for dinner. Arrived so hot i had to let it cool.
Well, good price doesn't matter if it's bad. But this was truly fabulous chicken. Lots of flavors, perfectly cooked and simply delicious. They are my new favorite Peruvian style chicken. If you've never tried this, you should.
The chicken is amazing! They cook it on a rotisserie over lump charcoal, and it imparts a very good "grilled" flavor on the meat. Very well seasoned, tender meat, nice crispy skin, and really good sauce. The prices are great, and it's honestly one of my favorite spots in town.
Great for last minute family dinner, also very affordable clean and friendly service.
Best Peruvian chicken in Manassas. The chicken was fresh, juicy and full of flavor. The Yucca and green beans were very good. Will be returning to this place from now on. Make sure to call ahead to minimize waiting time.
I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without super chicken catering services. Their uniquely blended and delicious whole chicken was a hit at my Babyshower. Very savory a dish to any event! Their prices are very affordable (trust me I’ve checked) Best in Virginia actually and to top it off outstanding service. The communication between client and owner was consistent and clear. I highly recommend them for an event or just a quick grab of food.
I love the chicken , yuca , plaintains ! It is all so delicious! My favorite chicken spot. All the staff are nice and especially the cashier named Yelitza ! She knows how to service her customer’s with her amicable personality and attentive service
WOW!! This restaurant is amazing. After reviewing the reviews I decided to try this place for the first time. The food is GREAT, the chicken is so so moist/tender and taste awesome. The seasoning of the chicken is top notch and delicious AND their Cole slaw is the best I have ever had. It was soooo good, creamy and fresh. Their fries were cooked to perfection and soo yummy. Great customer service and I got my order within 15 minutes. The price is so affordable for all the food you get. I am definitely going back....and back...and back....need I say more....besides go try it for yourself and you will not be disappointed.
So delicious! Well seasoned and very juicy. It’s like a hidden gem. Just try it! The house made wine colored beverage tastes good too! But it’s not always available.
