Decided to take my mom out for breakfast this morning. Even though we have been to Manchester many times over the years we have never tried this place. The wait was a little long because of a horse show in town but let me tell you it was well worth the wait. A little pricey but food was over the top excellent. Small place, better chance of getting seated a little quicker if you only have 2 people in your party. We had the buttermilk pancakes. My mom got the plain and I had the blueberry ones (no skimping on the blueberries served with REAL Vermont maple syrup. Lots of choices on the menu and everything everyone got looked excellent. If they only they had a bigger place!!

This is our go to breakfast spot when we're in the Manchester area. Though a little pricey the food is excellent and the Morning glory pancakes are to die for! Gwen is always our waitress and she rocks!

Could this be The best breakfast food ever? I think so. The prime rib hash Benedict was so unique and delicious. Could it be red wine? I don't know. All I know I was UP in heaven.

What can I say. I found that the food is worth the walk up the steps (for someone who is in need of a knee replacement!) Highly recommend!

This is a tiny yet fabulous breakfast joint. The menu is inspired and there is something for everyone -- even vegan dieters. The pancakes are fluffy perfection served with real maple syrup. The scones looked amazing and everyone was happy and making yummy noises. The vibe is laid back and there is a nice mix of people (locals and tourists). Be prepared to wait for a seat and bring cash because they don't take credit cards.

I'm not a devoted breakfast person but my partner is. The friendly service eases you into good vibes. The first morning included pancakes with warm (VT) maple syrup with by bacon, crispy and meaty. Sour dough toast accompanied the eggs which were done perfectly. They offered regards coffee or a pecan flavored which turned out to be delicious. We returned the following morning which proved to be equally delicious. Go there !

Awesome staff! Great eggs benidict & chocolate chip covered waffles for MJ and I. The beautiful girls sitting with us from Connecticut at the bar made it a perfect breakfast! 😎

Very cute little spot for breakfast!! It was busy (went on a Saturday morning) but they were able to seat us at the breakfast bar by the kitchen and overall it was very efficient without feeling rushed. Food was delicious and our server Jessie was so attentive and nice! We had blueberry pancakes and the breakfast special sausage hash. SO delicious! Large portions. Coffee special flavor was caramel nut - also delicious.

5 stars for their gluten free options. I have celiac and the server was very knowledgeable and confident what could be made gluten free while avoiding cross contamination. Pretty great for a small home style diner in Vermont! I got the eggs Benedict on GF English muffin with home fries It’s a popular spot so expect a long wait time during high season.

Very busy breakfast restaurant in Vermont. Small mom and pop shop feel and the BEST BREAKFAST in all of Vermont. Had the breakfast burrito breakfast special, and the taste and flavor was amazing. Staff was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Such a cute place! The food was fantastic! I'm normally not a "hash" fan, but that turkey hash was amazing. Huge portions w/ great prices. A bit crowded, but it's understandable for the size of the place. Staff were all very friendly and personable.

We've been dining at Up For Breakfast for decades, and the incredible fare, service, and homestyle charm never disappoints. Yesterday morning, I had the short stack blueberry pancakes with bacon and pure maple syrup. The 2 pancakes were, as expected from past orders, massive (more like having 4 or 5 regular size pancakes anywhere else), and the 4 straps of bacon were perfectly crisp and flavorful. I topped it off with a seasonal peppermint hot chocolate. Perfection! The prices aren't cheap but, for what you get in terms of portion size and quality, the value is outstanding. Important: this is a cash-only Cafe (no credit cards, debut cards, or checks), so be sure to use a nearby ATM before dining if needed.

This place is always busy so you know it's because they are good! I didn't have to wait because they had a single seat left at the bar, lucky me. I ordered the standard breakfast, and it was very delicious. My eggs were cooked the way I liked! The sourdough bread was great and buttered to perfection. I cleaned my plate and left a good tip. The service was great and the price was right. I would return.

Great place to start your day in Manchester. During our stay in town, we decided to give this place a try as it was the only place with a wait to get in. We liked the cozy vibe of the diner, and the food seemed quite good. We got the wild turkey hash, cajun frittata, and the buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, and everything was as good as we expected. My favorite was the wild turkey hash, and the thick buttermilk pancakes were great for carb loading before our hikes afterwards. Staffs were also very friendly, and overall, it was a wonderful meal.

Excellent food. Courteous staff but hard to hear them. Crowded and loud restaurant. Tight spaces. Food was slow to arrive but worth the wait. Stairs needed as restaurant in on second story. Cash only.

Great place for breakfast or brunch. It is cash only and the prices are fair. Also, there are non-dairy options for coffee and tea for those who prefer it. I had the best french toast that I've ever had before here and the service was great! I definitely recommend this spot!

A cozy cute place nestled in the downtown. We loved having our breakfast here. Being vegetarian and a vegan, the food was very flavorful and spiced perfectly. We had the freshly squeezed orange juice as well. They don't have vegan options on the menu but they did make me a sourdough toast with sauteed veggies. The pan roasted potatoes were fantastic!!!! This place is cash or check only. So make sure you have enough cash before you go!

We had a wonderful breakfast and experience! I started the experience off by having my umbrella go off and accidentally knocking my water on the ground and into another table, everyone was so kind despite my clumsiness! Best food, service, and people around. 20/10

Tiny place, but SO worth it! The Benedicts we both had were flavorful and fresh with a unique spin on it. Prices were more than fair (cash-only). I’d love to come back!

Just like the name, this is the place for breakfast in downtown Manchester VT. Located on the 2nd floor of the building, this pretty eatery is small and cozy. They have the best pancake I've ever tasted. Excellent food, great service!

Those wonderful pancakes were definitely worth the detour! Hubby went for the wild turkey hash brown and did not like it as much as expected however I tasted his dish and loved it as well. We went on a Monday so there was no wait. Service was great, ambiance was perfect for the first meal of the day. Highly recommended!

If I could give Up For Breakfast ten stars I would! Small eatery on the second floor of a downtown building. Excellent breakfast- incredible hospitality - great coffee.all served with a side of hilarious sass. Love it! The Eggs vegetarian was phenomenal - venison blueberry sausage was a table favorite, as was the Scandinavian Eggs and Morning Glory pancakes. Favorite spot for breakfast in Manchester! And check out the sugar packets! Sea stories!

Stopped in on a road trip for a late breakfast. Service was friendly, food was hot fast tasty, great for what I needed. Ordered Canadian bacon and sourdough bread, both of which were notably good. Home fries were a great fresh diced potato. Overall wonderful meal.

Coffee was hot and delicious. Cajun fritata with andouille sausage tasty. Personal preference would of been less cumin but otherwise very nice. Pain perdu with lingonberries was large serving so maybe split with your group.
