This is the true cuisine of Thailand. Don't come in here expecting Americanized Asian foods nor the portions that these types serve out. This is an establishment for the person(s) who wish to experience what true Thai cuisine is all about. This is all about fresh, made-from-scratch creations that can be ordered.
If you have food allergies like gluten, they have a great assortment of GF options. You just need to let them know at the time of ordering.
If you want something special to be added to a particular dish, they are very flexible. You just need to let them know at the time of ordering.
If you have never experienced this type of cuisine, they will gladly guide you through the menu by asking certain questions pertaining to if you have allergies, what level of heat you would like (level 1 mild, 2, level 3 typical Thai, 4, level 5 MY kind of Thai) and other options available either as a replacement or for a nominal mark-up.
My husband was able to have something enjoyable from Daw Kun that had no heat at all from the Beef with brown sauce, side of rice and house soup. That is his absolute favorite there.
I prefer the heat, spice and different levels of flavors that true Thai cuisine offers.
This is not a fast-food establishment so you will not be in and out in 30 minutes. This is a place that absolutely perfected the art of bringing Thai cuisine here to Manchester and has done well and with such finesse.
Kob-khun ka!
We love coming here!
They are a relatively new restaurant, and they are building a loyal clientele fast.
We have been coming back frequently, to try a different dish.
I can't tell you my favorite, negates each time I get something different, and each dish has been exemplary!
The dishes are Authentic, delicious, and fresh.
The owners and staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
If you like Thai, give Daw Kun a try.
The food was awesome. The service fantastic. It was a beautiful restaurant with a very relaxing and comfortable feeling. I definitely would recommend this place and also can't wait to return.
The food here is amazing. My husband and I have been here a few times and it is one of our new favorite places. All of the food is made fresh to order and is delicious. My husband and I recommend the crab rangoons and shumi (chicken dumplings) as appetizers. The crab rangoons are lightly fried and have a great filling. My husband said it is the best Tom Kha Kai soup he has ever had! For dinner, the Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao have been great! Service is great and attentive. Try Daw Kun as soon as you can! You'll be glad you did!
Our first visit after reading about them in the Hippo! So tasty with authentic flavors! Loved the Steamed chicken dumplings and the lightest calamari appetizer we have ever had! I loved the tea-so much I bought a bag! We will be back!
We love this place. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. We are never disappointed with any dish we try.
Hands down the best Thai food my husband and I have ever eaten. Don't go if you're in a hurry, because it takes time to make the food to order. It's worth the wait. The cook obviously puts a lot of care into her dishes.
Thanks for being open on this snowy January day!! What a find in Manchester. It was the best Thai Food we’ve ever had. My husband had the Pad Thai and asked for it to be made level 4 out of 5 spicy. It was perfect for his taste. I had the Kang Luang curry and the spice level was great for me. We will definitely be stopping by again whenever we’re in town. We’re just going to wait until it’s a nicer day.
Not many places are as genuinely Thai as this. I came here with my wife who is Thai. She was thrilled to finally eat authentic and phenomenal Thai food again. Everything was delicious and fresh. Will definitely eat here again when in the area.
lovely meal, and great service! each order made specifically for you and tremendous flavor!
Amazing food! Fresh, made to order and everything was excellent. Excited to return. I highly recommend.
Went in on the 5th day they were open and did a little impromptu tasting menu. Every single bite was delicious and full of unexpectedly deep flavors. Each dish is made from scratch and the care and artistry in their preparation is obvious. The chefs out back are a mother and son team from Thailand making authentic, home spun recipes. A quick quote from the owner/chef's husband: "I don't know the names of the dishes, but it's exactly what she cooks me at home."
Tried the Tung Tongs and Kanom Jeb for appetizers, the Pad Kee Mao and Khao Pad Tom Yum Kung for dinner and the Mor Kang Thai for dessert. Everything was delicious! The prices are reasonable, the owner and chef are very nice. We will definitely go back!
The best of thai restaurant, the owner made it with heart
Ate at Daw Kun for the first time last yesterday. Great food and staff...definitely will be back!!
Order was accurate. Food was delish. Everything was perfect except for the Mango Sticky Rice. It tasted lovely but for $8 and a packaging fee for takeout, I was expecting a later portion. $6-8 is the price range of competitors mango sticky rice in the Manchester area, but their portion is double. Just a suggestion.
Best Thai I have had!! They cook to order so they could take out what I am food sensitive to. Friendly staff, family run, local. We had Mou Satay, Pad Thai with pork and a flat rice noodle dish.sooo good!!
I am all about praises for this place. They prepare food with respect and love. It is one happy meal at this place for anyone. The flavors are all oozing with freshness. Even in the deep fried food I could taste the freshness. If you are a vegetarian this place treats you just right. if stars were the only way of appreciating this place then I would give them a million.
The restaurant is part of a small plaza with its own parking. From the outside the place is very unassuming. Inside you will find a clean and pretty orderly seating arrangement and a seemingly casual atmosphere. They offer both table service and take out. I consider pad Thai and vegetable cashew nut two staples of American Thai cousine, so I usually order those at a new place to test it out. I would characterise the cases nut dish average, a bit too much on the sweet side and with very few actual cashews. There are two clean and we'll lit unisex bathrooms.
I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in a lot of places.
This place is near the top of my list!!
BEST Thai food in the Manchester area!
The family and I got delivery via doordash and we were impressed. Definitely would order again. The crab Rangoon was a bit crunchier/cooked more than we prefer (and they were a bit small) but the pad Thai and beef panang were delicious. The pad Thai was a little spicier than normal, but that might be due to the doordash ordering process. The sticky rice was good but overpriced for the portion size (almost $3 and it was tiny).
We travel around delivering vehicles, found this little gem passing through. Stopped for lunch, two thumbs up. Food and service are above and beyond. Curry dishes, fantastic.
