Great service, food and love the outside deck. Also cool and inviting atmosphere. We also eat in the new addition added to the renovated house, turned into a restaurant.
Cute little converted house. The food is decent-- average run of the mill Mexican bill of fare. Reasonably priced with good portion sizes. Located right on 190.
I've eaten 25-30 times and have never had a bad meal. This is a no frills restaurant and the prices reflect that. The restaurant is an house that has been converted. It is our go to place for Mexican.
We go here all the time. Love the salsa and guacamole. I switch between the avocado salad, bean burrito dinner and the chicken wraps. Only thing is the frozen Margarita is never good. I've been coming here for years and every once in a while I'll ask to sample the frozen Margarita to see if I would like to order it, and to see if it has ever improved. ..... nope. Always bad. But that doesn't stop me from going. Oh and I hate hate hate that damn green sauce! I tell them not to let that stuff even accidentally touch my plate. Bc a few times it has ended up in my beans for No apparent reason so I always make sure to say I don't want it.
Born and raised in New Mexico. I was born and raised in New Mexico (so was my husband) so we were stoked when we saw a New Mexican style restaurant. For those of you looking for 'Tex-Mex' or even 'Mexican' this is going to be a little different. New Mexico has it's own flare of 'Mexican' food. Bottomless, fresh chips and salsa to start, salsa was mild for my taste but had good flavor i guess. My husband ordered the chicken burrito with red and green chile which was pretty disappointing. It was small, and the tortilla was generic, a true NM place would have freshly made tortillas. I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas with red and green chile, it was decent. The enchilada itself was surprisingly good. But the stingy amounts of red and green chile on both our plates was disappointing. I don't know if it was the lack of sauce but chile had lack of flavor as well with zero spice/heat. Both entrees came with refried pinto beans and rice. I've read comments that the beans were runny, but mine were good. Service was good, not great but that's okay. Interior is charming. It was a little taste of home which was nice :) but if you want true taste of New Mexican style food, go to New Mexico!
Delicioso! Me gusta! Mi Mamacitas has all the charm & atmosphere you want from a small family owned restaurant & awesomely tasty good. Their wheat chips are a must if you're snacking on salsa. The beef enchilada call my name when I sleep at night. They use the same ingredients as other Mexican restaurants but they prepare them differently, which equals awesome time in this little mama's tum tum.
The food wasn't incredible, but it was good enough. The service was incredible! We had three waiters checking on us constantly! Major drawback: the restaurant is very crowded.
Great Eats!!!!. I have visited this restaurant twice. Incredible flavor, great presentation...whoever is the cook in the kitchen is dishing out some really great eats. The service was warm personable and friendly. Complimentary warm homemade chips and homemade salsa is to die for! Atmosphere is warm and cozy. I got to meet the owner and complimented her on the food. It is *perfectly* prepared and served. The menu prices are a steal.
This is a hidden jewel on the northshore well worth consideration when you are looking for an incredible food experience.

Better than others. Not a huge menu. not a lot of variety. okish bar drinks. but the food quality is somewhat better than other mexican restaurants in mandeville/covington.
With Mexican Cuisine falling greatly on the northshore, it is relieving to at least have a fresh Tex Mex restaurant. In years past I would say Mi Mamacitas would have been my last choice for Mexican; however, now it is my first. Shocking as it may be, I find that it is the only 'Mexican' restaurant that produces consistantly fresh and tasty food. They do not masquerade as authentic Mexican cuisine. They keep it simple. The guac is fresh and oddly enough very authentic. Of course there are other dishes that lean to more of an American influence. The queso, although good and the kids love it, is more Tex Mex style. For regular ground beef tacos theirs are top of the list. It's funny how the simplest thing can be botched by the other surrounding restaurants. The enchiladas are unique, and their verde' sauce is very complimentary. Also try the shrimp burrito, it is different but delicious. Those are my picks and I am picky!
Last night was my 3rd or 4th time here! Service was great. The music added to the ambience of the place. The people working there had a smile on their face. The food, like always, was amazing as well. If you are looking for a place with good food and good people to lift your spirits, you've found the right place. I had a long, stressful day at work so it was nice to unwind and dine at one of my favorite local restaurants ❤️
I was driving by and noticed the cute decor outside of this restaurant, turned around and stopped in to eat. Friendly employees. Great food. Plenty of parking on the side and in the rear. Gravel parking lot, handicapped ramps and parking. The Mexican pizza with pulled beef was amazing.
The rice and beans are not cooked in animal products. Hooray. I had the veggie fajitas no cheese or sour cream. The beans with the green chile sauce were chef's kiss good. The chips were warm and the salsa was good. I enjoy my frozen margarita. The atmosphere is very bright and fun.
Great place with good atmosphere and outdoor seating. Food is priced very well and tasty!
Mi Mamacita’s , translation for little mama, hot mama or mom’s, serves food hot and fresh from the kitchen -Mexican Style. Their prices are very reasonable compared to local Mandeville restaurants.
MiMamacita’s has outdoor seating with misty fans that connects to the bar area which is creatively painted. It’s very colorful and and a great lunch spot with the girls or last minute lunch with the family. The time and depth put into the creativity of painted walls and extra seating from years passed, makes it worth the visit. The food and drinks are adequate but not the holy grail.
Wonderful, fresh and flavorful as always! Great service !
