This place is a throwback from yesteryear. Your typical greasy spoon diner. You don't find many old school places to eat anymore. Cheeseburger was terrific! Fries were perfect! Clyde’s was well promoted before we tried it and it did not disappoint. Both of my 17-year-old sons tried the famous cheeseburger and agrees it was the best in the UP! Our celiac guess was able to order GF chicken finger and fires because they have a dedicated fryer - all in all, a great choice!
What a great find! Driving through from a family vacation and needed a quick dinner. Great burger. Raspberry shake is awesome. Coleslaw was wonderful. We will definitely come back if we come through again. Thank you so much!
Small drive- in with delicious food in Manistique, there's also one just before Mac Bridge on US-2.Never disappointed with either one, just be ready to wait 'cuz they are both usually busy at lunch & dinner during tourist season...I had the fresh walleye basket. So good!
Such a great local "dive" - I don't use that word lightly. 😀 Service was great, old-school ambiance and menu made it worth the stop. The cherry milkshake is AWESOME!
Clyde’s never disappoints, first time at this store when vacationing in yupperland. Very good food again today. Very busy at 3pm on a Sunday and the server kept up with everyone and the food come out decently quick and hot.

Stopped in for take out after reading reviews. Glad we did. The reviews were not wrong. Great burgers and coleslaw! You can eat inside at the counter, or there is outside seating. If you want a great burger in Manistque, skip Big Boy and head to Clyde's! If you don't, you're missing out.

Great place to stop, loves the outdoor seating to hang with the dog and enjoy the great weather! The burgers were huge and very good! I really love old school places like this!
If you're in Manistique, make sure to stop by Clyde's for dinner! All of their options are wonderful, including delicious hand made shakes, but their Big-C burger is where it's really at. First time stopping in here after some friends told us about it. One of the best burger joints in the UP. Definitely well portioned servings, you won't leave hungry! Everything was great from the Fries with Gravy, to the cheese curds, to the made in front of you burgers (if you dine in). Staff
Great place with classic and quality diner/fast food! Can’t miss the curly fries. The chicken tenders were nice and crispy, and my friends enjoyed the cheeseburger and sirloin burgers! We also really enjoyed the onion rings. The pickles spears were also good but could go without them.
Best drive in that I've been to in a long time. Walleye fish was awesome The kids meals were over the top awesome served in old timer vehicles. The grilled cheese sandwich was too gooey and too cheesy.
The value and the deliciousness can’t be beat. Places like this are what we love about the UP. A huge, delicious, hand made burger patty for $5. Nice people working here. A real throwback gem. If you’re ballin on a budget, this is the place you wanna eat.
Great food at great prices with great service. Always ensure I stop when in the area. Love the big C burger with lots of olives. 😀 got the olive burger cause my fav. Great service.
Clyde's is the one place in the UP that consistently delivers. Burgers are nothing special but oh so delicious. Oh yeah...did I mention how good the burgers are? Also the jr burger is a pretty good deal.
