The Gingerbread Village is a a great place for breakfast or lunch. The food is well prepared and done to our order. Menu is varied. Service is excellent and friendly. Don't forget to checkout the big cinnamon rolls. Good to stock up on for next morning breakfast. The perfect place to stop when in a motorhome, nice long parking spaces.
We found out the Gingerbread Village had opened again. There is a nice friendly family running it. All our orders were good and some very good! I had the Reuben and it was a quality Reuben. Our friends reported the Gingerbread was very good. They serve breakfast all day and one friends got a delicious omelette. The menu on this page is old and not correct. Hope to get back to try something else soon.
Their food tastes just like if you're going to your favorite vacation spot. I haven't been there since 2004-2005 Mapleton High School year. :)
Two important things: This restaurant is actually in Mapleton, not Walton. And it's now called "Pop's Gingerbread Smokehouse."
I was there today with my little cousin. I got eggs and sausage with grits and a freshly made biscuit. He got the biggest breakfast burrito I have ever seen in my life! He said it was delicious, and was only able to get through about 1/3 of it. Mine was simple and good. The service was warm, attentive, and quick. It's a sweet, old restaurant in the middle of the woods, and I would go back again.
I have always loved coming here after a trip to the coast . great childhood memories of the warm gingerbread and ice cream . tasted just as good as an adult.
Family. Grandma, mom and I went to Florence Oregon and stopped on the way back to Eugene. We have been waiting to have some gingerbread cake with ice cream for years. Two of us live in Kansas so we stopped by the restraunt not knowing they were closed. So we went inside and she told us that she did not mind serving us anyway. It was so nice of her that we were so glad we got a chance to have it. It taste the same since I was a kid. Thanks again to leave it open for us we enjoyed a lot.

Pie Perfection & More. My husband and I stopped in at the Gingerbread Village this morning for pie and coffee. It was so good. My blackberry pie tasted just like summertime. My husband said it was the best blueberry pie he's tried. I tried the chowder and it's really good. It's such a cute place, it has charm, the service is great! There is a family feel there. It's worth the beautiful drive! We will go back again and again! I recommend going on a weekday once in a while. They are busier on weekends. Our visit was very relaxing, and I can't wait until next time.
Terrific Stop. My family and I stopped by here for breakfast on our way to the beach from the valley. This IS the place with gingerbread pancakes, which were sooo delicious with warm apple sauce. Service was very friendly and we were pleased with the cute decor and cleanliness of the whole establishment. We will be back!
L. Wells. We stopped in at the Gingerbread Village last Saturday morning, had breakfast. It was terriffic!! The food tasted like it was made at my house, which is usually hard for me to find real good homestyle breakfast. The hashbrowns were great, didn't taste fake, eggs weren't crispy on the edges, and the biscuts and gravy were super! My husband and I shared a breakfast and we added a single biscut and gravey and it was the perfect amount of food!!! The service was great as well!!
Katie H.. Our family stops for the terriffic burgers and sandwiches. Fast Service and good prices keep us coming back after riding the dunes. The people working here are nice and on their toes!! We will be back !
