I have been twice and would highly recommend it for a different kind of Italian food experience. The $40 4 course meal is a great deal and plenty of food to leave satisfied but not overstuffed. Everything has excellent pop of flavors. A great place to celebrate or a splurge for date night. We didn't have reservations but it was a great night yo sit on the patio and we were in the shade for the whole meal. Despite being the only party seated on the patio service was great. Attentive but not overbearing. A delicious relaxed experience!

Went with a group of 5 adults and one child and we all loved every portion of our meals. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff was very knowledgeable of the menu. It's obvious these chef's have mastered their craft. The only thing that's wasn't perfect was the top shelf margarita, had to send it back for some O.J. & didn't help much. Great atmosphere and highly recommend.

The food at Acero is amazing. I have eaten at many 4 and 5 star restaurants in my life - the meal that they prepared for me tonight was one of the best ever. The fresh ingredients, the attention to detail, and the way the flavors played on my palette in all 5 courses... All I can say is wow. Even the complementary bread and olive oil was memorable. The staff was very hospitable. It you think you've had the best Italian meal somewhere else, come here. You may change your mind.

We ordered the Four course meal with wine flights. Everything was prepared perfectly and the wine matched up very well. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and we even got a visit from the chef. Probably the best meal we've had in STL so far!

The food was amazing! I suggest ordering the $40 fixed menu. The portions are smaller than the entree size but still plenty big enough. You get to chose one item from 4 categories. Our server was very helpful in walking us through the process. I highly recommend Acero and cannot wait to return

A really great dining experience. Everything was not just good but refined to a higher level. The prix fixe tasting option is totally worth it, giving the opportunity to sample 4 great courses. The cocktails were great and the soundtrack good. Delicious!

The Egg Raviolo was the most exquisite bite I have ever tasted. Truly breath taking, and I've never described a good in that manner. We started with a meat and cheese plate that was incredible and then did the 4 course tasting. We will have to go back, for sure!

This place is amazing!! Seriously. The incredible amount of flavor in EVERY dish I ordered was something like I've never had before. This is not your typical Italian restaurant so don't go looking for pasta con broccoli but it doesn't matter because their food is ridiculously fantastic AND their prices are totally reasonable!! Get the Cannoli dessert!

Nice space, great service and the chef came to touch the table. He genuinely cared about our experience and the quality of our food. I was pretty hammered but I remember that part of the night clearly. Get the green pepper gimlet. That shit was fire! Thanks chef

Can I just honestly say... This restaurant is a little bit of a heavenly secret! My love and I enjoyed a full 4 course Valentines dinner that was simply amazing! Every bite was so delicately full of deliciousness. No words can express how fresh every dish was and the service was definitely 5 . Our waiters name was Harris and one of the Chefs introduced himself and his name was Adam. If you're looking for an intimate environment with amazing customer service... You will definitely find it here

Wow! What a fantastic experience! Friendly, incredibly attentive service, food that is adventurous, but not intimidating and complete catering to the experience. The Chef's Tasting Menu did not disappoint. And though the food is the star in this show, it's impossible not to notice the service head chef, Adam Gnau, and his team provides. He is a head chef that makes himself so available to his patrons and you can feel his passion to make your meal and night something to remember!

Tonight was our first time at Acero, and we loved it! The 4 course tasting menu is great, each course was better than the last. Amazing flavors and presentation. Excellent service. It's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for.

Simply fantastic food and service. NOT STL style Italian food, but instead authentic Italian fare. The food makes me feel like we are back in Italy. If you've never been to Italy, try Acero for dinner and you will get a feel for the flavors served like you were on your own personal trip. Excellent wine selection. We have received outstanding service on all of our visits.

We had the four-course dinner and my wife had the wine pairing. The food was delicious and the courses were well-timed. The pairings were wonderful as well! This is the best Italian food I have had in St. Louis.

Hard to pass up a reasonably priced 4-course tasting menu. I was eating alone and didn't have a reservation but I was happy to sit at the bar and eat. Food was good, grounded and unpretentious. Had roasted beet salad (to not have every course be heavy heavy heavy), pici cacio e pepe (my one main gripe...it's not pici, was obviously extruded and not hand formed), duck confit (probably the most satisfying course) and salted caramel Panna cotta (pretty basic).

Celebrated my 41st birthday at Acero. My husband and I opted for the Chef's 7 course menu. It was really good. The only downside is that the last time we visited Acero was 2 years ago, and I remembered some of the dishes as they were the same then as they were this weekend. Aside from creativity, Acero is a great place to eat and celebrate. Having the wine pairing, we found some new wines that we both like as well.

Just an amazing meal, I'm surprised this place doesn't get more press. A couple of minor service hiccups, but I'm already excited about my next trip back. The BYO tasting menu is absolutely the way to go btw

The food and ambience was so great. I love that they don’t use seed oils and the food is fresh and delicious. Our waiter was great too.

My wife and I dined here tonight and the best description of the food was, sublime. Really outstanding, we both had the seven course chef's tasting menu, and each dish was consumately balanced. Service was impeccable. The wine list is impressive. The restaurant was a little loud at its peak capacity but elegantly decorated and lit, with a nice selection of modern jazz to suit the decor. This is a gem of the fine dining scene here in St. Louis.

Incredible! I recently had dinner here with my wife. It’s a very nice place for dinner / date night. The server was super nice and helpful. We had the tasters choice. It’s a 4 curse meal. Worth every penny. The atmosphere very pleasant. Can’t wait to go back

Beginning with saying that this gem of a restaurant was absolutely fantastic would be an understatement and not do the quality of service and food justice. Everything our party of six enjoyed was exceptional. Jesse (our server) was dynamic. His recommendations for each course was on point. I was uniquely impressed by his ability to listen to my young son and determine exactly what he would enjoy was great. The five adults participated in the four course tasting menu which was incredibly delectable. Our compliments to this amazing team and outstanding kitchen staff. This place definitely gets it!

We both got the 4 course meal so we had 8 different things to try and each was better than the last. The food was unbelievable! One of my strongest recommendations in STL. We had no idea and are so glad that we stumbled into this place.

Seated in the very back of the second room, it was incredibly warm, making for an uncomfortable experience. The restaurant was abuzz with chatter, which was wonderful, except that we were seated next to the most obnoxious table of entitled a-holes who shrieked and talked over the entire restaurant. We had difficulty hearing one another at our own table. It was so blatantly rude, and ruined our dining experience. Zurn was lovely, knowledgeable, and worth coming back for. He made a so-so evening worth the 5 stars for service. Food was fantastic, as always, and we enjoyed the wine pairings, however we’re disappointed the 4-course meal only came with three pairings. It felt incomplete. All in all a good experience, and we will come return.

Life-changing. The food was life changing. Zern was quite possibly the best server I have ever had. He was an absolute delight for the whole table and went above and beyond. The whole wait staff did. The music was a little strange for a classy Italian restaurant, kind of club like? But when the food came out, we were absolutely enamored. This is not a frugal experience, but definitely one worth saving for!

Decided to take the wife here for our anniversary. Excellent decision. The four-course tasting menu is the way to go. The seafood pasta was the highlight of my meal. The service was great. The patio was lovely. I highly recommend this place, though be prepared to spend a little money.

This is as good as it gets. Our server guided us through a fantastic culinary evening with deep knowledge of the dishes (down to the sourcing of ingredients) and wine pairings to go with them. The Crudo had incredible flavor and POP! the Tagliatelle Ragu was authentic and on point, while the scallops were simply perfection. For dessert I went with an Afogato from their Simonelli espresso maker...and then I went to heaven. Will 100% be back.

Had an amazing experience here last night. It’s a small restaurant so with the restrictions in place right now you should definitely call ahead. We ordered the tasting menu- 4 courses. It allows you to try a little bit of everything. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t love. I highly recommend the egg raviolio. Great service and great food!!

I went there for my birthday dinner and it was one of the best meals of my life. Do the tasting menu-four courses! I was amazed how they made salad taste so good. Mushroom pasta was the best pasta ever!

My wife and I had the joy of celebrating our anniversary here - our server Jesse was incredible, truly made the best of our dinner and did a great job explaining the wines he was paring with each course of our meal. The mushroom tagliolini really blew my mind, such a tastefully done dish that leaves you wanting more; the only ding I really hold on the meal is that my wife and I both wished that the beef tenderloin had been seasoned a little stronger to help bring the flavor of the cut to the forefront, but it was still perfectly cooked and each bite was satisfying. atmosphere was chill but, a little loud, not so much so that you can’t maintain a conversation without raising your voice. Overall we really enjoyed our evening and we hope to return sooner than later.
