Dave Poe's Bbq Marietta

My wife and U were told about Dave Poe’s by another couple whom we dine with frequently. The recommendation was made with a focus on the macaroni and cheese. I am not a Mac-n-cheese person...just don’t like it; however, I know good versus bad and Dave Poe’s has the BEST I have EVER eaten. It is so good that we bought a whole pan and brought home for the kids and to enjoy later!! The BBQ was great. Ribs were so tender that I told the couple with us, Dave Poe’s could advertise in a nursing home by saying leave your false teeth in the drawer cause you won’t need em!!! Brisket was rich with flavor and perfectly cooked with just a slight hint of pink left in the middle. The house sauce was a good sauce for the ribs and the brisket. The only thing I found to be lacking a little was desert and overall cleanliness of the dining area. We had the banana pudding which was not your traditional ‘cooked’ pudding with a Maranque topping...it was instant pudding with some bananas and a vanilla wafers. Also the had the fried apple pies...just like McDonalds or fast food fried pies:( In terms of the cleanliness, it was just dirty sticky floors and tables which are often this way in a busy place where there isn’t a waiter/waitress. Overall, I suggest if you like good BBQ and even remotely like Mac-n-cheese the DEFINITELY GO to Dave Poe’s!!! 5 stars!
