My Mom and I were at the eye clinic down the street and she said to me let's go out to eat, so.."hey google.. restaurants in my area". This place was the first to come up, had good reviews and it was only .5 miles from us. I don't eat at chain restaurants, so to find this hidden gem was a huge surprise. They serve breakfast morning and afternoon. We had their breakfast for lunch. Their coffee was great, food was delish, and our waitress was so on top of our needs. She was fantastic and super friendly. Anyway, if you are ever in the area and looking for a cafe for either breakfast or lunch I highly recommend checking this place out. We'll definitely be back.

Im glad i talked everyone out of going to Ihop for breakfast, crooked tree cafe hit the spot in ways other breakfast restaurant can not compare to. I had there homemade biscuits and gravy with two over-easy eggs, and bacon. Can i tell you this was truely homemade meal. Sorry mom, the biscuits were so soft an fluffy. The gravy was seasoned perfectly. The eggs are absolutely farm rasied chickens. Could not have been happier with this place. Come in see our server sarah, shes as awesome as the food was. Loved this place.

My wife and I passed this place many times and it was closed - only opened to 3pm ... Until one Saturday we decided to check it out for breakfast ... Wow! It has become our favorite place for breakfast ... Great food and staff! ... Best kept secret ... But we bring everyone we know there and not one has had a bad meal.

We went on a Saturday morning and were immediately seated. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Smokey scramble was fantastic with a banana pancake!! Would never have known such a tasty place existed just driving by. We will def. be back to try something else on the menu.

Best breakfast place in town! Seriously. There usually isn't a wait for brunch (which is a plus) and everything is very good. I recommend trying the roasted banana pancakes, house made chicken sausage, and homemade jams and jellies.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and am so glad we did! I had the Crooked Tree Breakfast which included the freshest eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, grits, and biscuit. I tried both of the homemade jellies available: strawberry and pineapple. They both were perfection! My fiancé had the pulled pork with hand cut fries, and homemade catsup and bbq sauce. Again, it was perfection! We can’t wait to come back!

Let me tell you about this amazing place. It's clean. The staff are friendly. The menu is simple and easy to read. Ticket times are 15-20 minutes (which is perfect in the world of food service if you didn't know). Everything is home made here. Jelly's, syrup, ketchup, bread (for the French toast). EVERY. THING. I had the French toast with the home made syrup, which was by far THE BEST french toast I've ever had and I am from Diner-Country (NJ). The smokey scramble with pork with a kiss of homemade ketchup on the side was a touch of heaven. The smokey flavor gets in to the eggs and turns it in to something you will have never ever experienced anywhere else. This place does it right. The owner knows what he is doing in the kitchen and runs a great restaurant. Stop looking anywhere else and eat here. Full stop.

Excellent food. Good southern home cooking. I had the chicken pot pie today. Fantastic take on an old favorite. Comfort food at its best.

I chose the pulled pork sandwich with poblano slaw on top and a side of steamed BBQ broccoli. It was wonderful! There was no fat in the pork and their BBQ sauce was very tasty! There was so much meat I did not eat the bun. Our server was very friendly and the food came out very quickly (which was good as the friend I was having lunch with was on her lunch break). If you're ever in Cobb County Georgia and want a great meal I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I really like this place, at least for breakfast (we've not been for lunch). The food is fresh. The service is friendly. I love that you can order a la carte which is so rare for breakfast. I have turned at least 3 other families onto CTC. Best biscuits and homemade jam in a 20 mile radius. Even my NY'er boyfriend loves them. And they are just 1.5 minutes from Tip Top Donuts, so we often head there on the way home, even though we are stuffed!

Absolutely amazing and original dishes here. For the money, best breakfast I have eaten in years. Original dishes like Horchatta French Toast, BBQ Pork Ramen, and bbq beef grilled cheese along with housemade jams/jellies/butter/bbq sauce/syrup remind me of the approachable sophistication & price reasonableness of Heirloom BBQ near Cumberland. Service and atmosphere are excellent. Eat here with absolutely no hesitation 👍🏻

Amazing service form the second we walked in! Was extremely clean and felt homey inside. The menu is always changing! Daughter had pancakes and come with homemade brown sugar vanilla syrup(yum!). I had brisket grilled cheese for brunch. It was great, messy to eat but that's expected. The bacon postal side was worth the trip alone! I will be returning to the more.

Great breakfast/lunch/brunch place! My husband and I rarely get the opportunity to have a brunch date so we just decided one Saturday to have one. We are so glad we opted to go here. Oddly enough, we have passed by here so many times but never noticed it. It's a cute restaurant and I love the atmosphere inside. While the inside is a little darker, so much sunlight comes in and it looks nice. The waitress was so pleasant and warm to us. Definitely great Southern hospitality.

Onto the food - I ordered the brisket hash (w/o the BBQ sauce...I love hot sauce with my eggs...don't hate) and my husband ordered the biscuits and gravy. I LOVED my dish. The brisket was perfect. My eggs were cooked perfectly as well. The meal as a whole tasted great and I really enjoyed the smokey twist to a traditional hash. My hubby also enjoyed his dish; he barely could finish half of it.

All-in-all, this place is definitely worth it. Reasonably priced. Delicious food. Great service. Fun atmosphere. Can't go wrong!

I love this place. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with the Crooked Q sauce and potato salad. Absolutely delicious! He had brisket and brunswick stew. He says its the best Brunswick stew he's had in Atlanta. We have decided to use this place to cater our Fourth of July party. I went at a friends recommendation and i am glad I tried it. My fiancé and I love to try different non chain restaurants. Two thumbs up.

Refreshing and Updated Take on Southern Fare. The other day I was craving something new for lunch. While I am a Smyrna resident and know the dining scene, I was surprised when I plugged in a google search for Vinings restaurants and saw the Crooked Tree Cafe. When you walk in, you see cook books from culinary intellectual power houses out there today. Then, you are greeted by the chef himself. The chef talked me through the menu, and I was very pleased with the food results. My meal was outstanding. I had the BBQ salad with pickled veggies. It tasted nothing like my Southern palate has enjoyed in the past...it was different. This chef is using brines, vinegars, and local ingredients for a new take on southern. I left full and with a take out order for dinner. Bon Appetit!

Great "Club" Sandwich. I was fortunate enough to have a longer-than-usual lunch break, so I decided to check this place out since they're a little far from my office. After seeing all of Barney's pictures and reading his and Rojuko's reviews, I knew I had to get in here.
I decided on the "On the Perimeter" BBQ Club sandwich, which comes with "House Smoked Turkey, Slow Smoked BBQ Pork, Sorghum Cured Bacon, 2 Cheeses, House BBQ Sauce, lettuce and tomato," and got a side of Brunswick Stew with it. This is one of the best versions of a Club sandwich that I've ever had! The meats were perfectly cooked and had a lot of flavor, especially the bacon; the tomato slices were thick and juicy; the BBQ sauce was nice and tangy. Simply amazing sandwich. The Brunswick Stew was also excellent and packed full of meat. Again, one of the better versions I've had.
Overall, this was an excellent meal and I plan on visiting more often on the weekends to try out the rest of the menu. I must agree with Rojuko that once this place is found out by the locals, it's going to be continuously slammed. I also talked to the very friendly owner and was informed that they will no longer be doing breakfast going forward (not sure when they'll actually stop the service though). He wants to concentrate solely on the BBQ.

Instant Favorite - Very Tasty Lunch!. My Wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Owner/Operator was there and provided some good tips on ordering. Nice guy and I like the hands on approach to maintain high quality standards. Prices are moderate and place was mostly empty but it should not be - once people find this place, it will be packed as it is excellent!

My Wife orderd the lunch special - short rib sandwich with pepperjack cheese and pickled onions and bacon potato salad. She loved it! I had the brisket platter with the slaw and smoked chicken gumbo. The brisket and gumbo were top notch from a flavor perspective, while the slaw was so-so (could use more zip). The gumbo in particular was the best I have had in ATL.. We also eyed up the breakfast menu and will be back to try it out. Great addition to Vinings/Smyrna Area...

Yesssss!. A fantastic southern barbeque in Atlanta. Tucked away a few blocks off I-75 and easy to get to. If you are in Atlanta looking for Southern BBQ then you will want to go the Crooked Tree Cafe. I am from Alabama so I know BBQ. Friendly staff and a lovely little Cafe.
