Saw this place in our local Smyrna journal went to the Square to try it out... the staff super friendly. The best place in town..we loved it!!!
We never leave the square without having a cup of ice cream at Sarah Jean's. Great flavors, not overly sweet. Friendly service. And if you come by while the toy train is running along the tracks above you, it's quite magical.
The best place to get ice cream or a milk shake.or just a good cold coke i have been going there every sense thay opened.the owners are great people. With great staff

Respectable. Hearing that they've made some changes, I headed back in here on a recent trip to the square. Place arranged totally differently, so it HAS been a long time since I was in here.
Deciding to try a flavor that is a little more subtle and a little harder to do than an "in your face chocolate" type flavor (which I usually get suckered into..really like those kind of flavors), I went with the Rum Raisin. For 3 bucks, the cup packed full of creamy and delicious ice cream seems like a good deal. While I was a little surprised at first, found a bunch of plump juicy raisins lurking under the surface resulting in some in almost every bite of what seemed like a creamy premium ice cream with good flavor without relying to much on simply playing the "sweet" card. Also nice that it was held and served at a good temperature and didn't suffer from ice crystals from old or too cold ice cream.
All in all, a nice experience.
Always there. I have basically lived at the square since I was 3 and I have always gone here. I have great memories of being 2,3, 4, and 5 getting ice cream then playing on the train. I still like to relax at the square during summertime and stop in for a treat. There is another place on the square called sweet treats, but I refuse to go there. Sarah Jean's simply has me. I love their little train making its way above your head. My favorite spot!!
Great little ice cream place!. Of all the options for this deliciously devious concoction in Marietta, I would have to say that the Greenwood Ice Cream served in Sarah Jean's is by far the best 'cream I've had in quite some time. And the fact that I dont have to stand in line that long for "the real deal" ice cream is a major plus! It's just nice to able to achieve REAL coconut ice cream, with out having to have coconut; or any other available fruit, subjected to vanilla ice cream in order for me to eat it. Coconut through and through! Great after a flick at The Strand too!
