We come from Al just to shop at Bernhard's, the food is so good it is worth the trip to Atlanta, the Fleischsalad is just like home and Germans like their bread.

I absolutely love their breads. Their Black Forrest cake is so delicious! I drive from Chickamauga to get it.
When my father found out about the bakery. I could not wait cause I miss my German food and bread etc. Bernard bakery is the best brings me back home. I drive all the way from Gwinnett county to get what I want. It worth it for me and my daughter loves it too
I absolutely love this bakery! After living in Germany and falling in love with pretzels, this place allowed me to continue enjoying he yummy German goodies!!

All of Bernhard's products are great, but my favorite has to be the brioche loaf. I use it for bread puddings and french toast. I even found part of a loaf that I froze and forgot about for almost a year; when I thawed it it still made the perfect slice of french toast! Try it for yourself at Brookhaven Farmers Market on Saturday mornings!
First time visitor to their home location after sampling many items at Brookhaven farmers market. Loved the variety of foods from sauerbraten to stollen.

We love going to the Fayetteville Farmer's Market on Sundays for yummy bread. Billy is always so kind and patient with my wild kiddos. Thanks for making the long haul!
I'm a cake/Torten connoisseur and lived in Austria before we came so I asked Bernhard to make a big Esterhazytorte. It was phantastic, not so (American) sweet, right texture and BETTER than what I've tried in Vienna, Linz, Salzburg. On top: timing, price, delivery as promised .
I love getting coffee here. The bakery items are delicious and they have a great selection of meats. Wonderful place.
The Breads are super healthy, certified organic... Everything is made from scratch! The pastries are to die for, so authentic. The imported German groceries bring back wonderful memories of home. Also Check out their Lunch specials. Yummm!!!!

I used to come here in college and it was always amazing. Went back recently and the quality definitely hasn't gone down. Amazing bakes goods, sandwiches, definitely the best German pretzels I have ever had, and the staff is always very efficient and friendly.
First and foremost it must be said we need you in Rock Hill SC!! So many delicious treats, so much so that I couldn't really decide what to get so I bought a little bit of everything. Lots of baked goods made right here went home with me including bread and sweets but the highlight of my discoveries was finding my favorite chocolate treat in the world: nougatringe! Delicious butter cookie with delicate nougat filling coated in chocolate, lecker! Please don't skip it nor the chocolate cherry cake. We also tried the frikadellen sandwich which was also fantastic. Can't wait to come by again when I visit GA from SC. 🥰
Cool store/bakery to explore. They have a variety of groceries from Germany & lots of frozen meals to take home. They also have a selection of bakery items, desserts & sandwiches to choose from. Loved the pecan cookies!
Although I have always passed by this shop, today I decided to stop in and it was worth it. Lots of authentic German cakes, breads, soups, and meats. I went with a German Brat and some baked goods. Yum yum!
I bought my employees lunch here and everyone enjoyed the food. It has been years since I have had German Potato Salad and theirs is very good. The sandwiches were also all very good and prepared very well. The staff is friendly and the line moved quickly. They also have a great selection of imported chocolates and other sweets and a freezer full of soups and other prepared dishes.
Have to say I was so excited to visit this bakery before I left Atlanta. My partner is german and has made me fall in love with everything german. So it was nice to go to a place with authentic food and groceries. I'm a big fan of schnitzel so I had already bought groceries and ordered some coffee before I realized I could get this sandwich. It was amazing and I wish I lived in the area because they would definitely have my business weekly. I would definitely recommend for all your german needs. I loved the poppi seeds when I visited Germany. So it was nice to get some of those from the bakery.
Great service to go along with the fantastic sweets and breads. My go to spot for a good loaf or pretzels. In terms of sweets, the blueberry vanilla danish and those little chocolate mounds they keep in the rotating display (sorry, don't know the name. I just point and say, "gimme") are top tier. Bernhard also seems like a cool guy based on my limited interactions with him. The best bakery I've been to in the Atlanta area, and there's some good ones.
