Completely understand why this place has a reputation with locals as being authentic. Our group of 24 sat in the back room and were attended to by one of the owners we presume. Food was all excellent, especially the pastas. Portion sizes were good too. Lots of relatively unique dishes in the menu by most Italian restaurant standards.
Very intimate/authentic Italian spot. Great hosts, and pastas served at the perfect temperature. They definitely don't skip on the truffle!

Great food! The Bolonaise is great. Manuel is an amazing server. Bar is local and upscale. Paino player is a nice addition to the ambiance. Best of all the joints on the square..
A locals favorite. Excellent authentic Italian food and all the pastas are homemade. Romantic atmosphere with live piano music. Great service, seafood, pastas and salads. I just had a party there for 12 guests for my Birthday. It was so delicious we went back the next night!
What a fabulous home-style Italian joint. At first glance, it feels a bit run-down, especially being located in the entrance to Venice Beach. However past the interior, everything was to perfection. Food was fresh and truthful to the core of Italian dishes. Wine selection was great. Dessert was good. Overall a perfect place for a special date night or a quiet dinner with someone who you can have a great conversation with. All substance. No frills.
Small intimate authentic Italian place with good steak and risotto di Mare. Prices are normal for the area. If you sit in the back you will be secluded from the other customers unless someone thinks exactly the same things. Wine and dine happily but not expect big large menu. You have to choose a plate for each direction, either stake seafood or chicken etc. It tasted good even they don't have a lot of choices but they have flavor. Service is ok, serving speed is appropriate. Parking is on the street, limited and metered. If you can park somewhere else nearby and walk, it will be less stressful.
Clearly owned and run by Italians. Loved the authentic menu and service! Plus the live piano really made this place a perfect choice.

Excellent homemade pasta and great live music! The decor however is a bit outdated. Especially the paintings in the restaurant of the restaurant itself. Therefore the decor doesn't match the quality of the itallian food. Would highly recommend it though!
We couldn't have had a better night. Not only was the authentic food divine & so fresh the wine was incredible, service exceptional & the pianist/singer Michael Russeck was briliant, so talented.

Very italian ambient. Staff is italian authentic and a little confusing when they are taking orders. There was no sink to wash hands in the bathroom.
The food here really brings you to an Italian taverna in Italy, with extraordinary tasty homemade pasta dishes. The service is really good, and you always feel like that extra special customer. The staff really know their menu and which wines that goes best with which dish. So if you are looking for real Italian food, you have found the right place.
Very Charming atmosphere with lots of candles and a friendly bartender. Great music too in the background and live music from a piano player sometimes as well.. Small plates for happy hour are delicious and a great deal!
Great location! Attentive staff. Italian food done right. My neighborhood fav! So grateful to have authenticity among the overgrowth of sushi and tourist restaurants.
