The best Indian dishes you will ever eat. Always fresh, always superb. They have a Great wine and beer selection too.
Love their food...my favs are their Paneer Tikka Masala (not on the menu but they can make it), and the Akbari Kofta. Their Kulfi is like no one elses. The BEST. I love their lunch portions and would go to their place every change I got.
The foods are amazing, always solid! Excellent wine selections & very reasonable price$ especially on Sunday, the wine lists are half off..!

I am addicted to the fried okra at Akbar and this is why I always come back. Besides the very good service and an excellent manager, all the food is of good quality and fulfilling portions. The dhal tastes so good and so does everything else, but the okra remains my favorite.
Small, friendly. Garlic nan and green herbs nan very flavorful, served very hot. Ordered chefs specials and we weren't disappointed. Try the okra dishes -- crispy and spicy. Good selection of Indian beers.
Try the Chicken Akbari. Very nice wait staff. They're attentive, but not overbearing. We tried the Chicken Tikki Masala, which was pretty good, but we also had the Chicken Akbari, which is chicken in a sauce with cashews and saffron. That dish stole the show. Very nice, balanced flavor with the right amount of spice. The Nan is awesome as well--we tried the Onion Nan. Music was loud, making it difficult to hear what the waitstaff was saying.
Good indian tandoor items after a very long time. Both our tandoor came out really really well, perfectly cooked and seasoned.
For Starters we had the chicken Kathi roll and the aloo aam tikka. The filing for the Kathi roll was good but however the chutney with which it was served didn't justify it. The Aloo aam Tikka was ok however.
The naan that was serverd was really fresh and were good portion size.
Didn't like the bhindi masala as there were some bhindi that wasn't cooked will And was very hard.
The akbari kofta was howver really good.
The chicken masala was suggested to us by the owner and it was totally worth it.
Overall the food is really good here definitely worth a visit.

Super tasty Indian food with decent prices. $17 will get you an entree, rice, Naan, lentils, and veggies. The saag paneer was really flavorful...I got spice level 3 (it's normally a 2) and I wouldn't recommend going any higher unless you really want hot. The butter chicken was delicious - not as sweet as other places, and super savory.
Their biryani is so tasty that I would say it’s my favorite Indian dish in all Indian restaurants. Besides, it has lamb, shrimp and chicken all in one that I don’t have to choose among different meat options as I did at other places. It’s genius.
The only thing to look out is the chili or spicy level. Make sure you can handle it!
My partner and I have spent many nights at Akbar over the last three years, so it felt like an appropriate and special place to celebrate our engagement. JC and the entire Akbar Team went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable night. The food and wine were delicious, and the staff were attentive to every guest’s comfort. Thank you all so much.
Love Akbar! So happy we found this gem of delicious Indian food in our neighborhood. The chicken tikka masala is by far one of my favorite dishes on their menu and every naan we've tried is so good!

Excellent dining experience, will be back! Our waiter (owner/manager?) JC took total care of us, offering recommendations and colorful tips about the restaurant. Food was delicious (definitely get a tandoori!!) and even though it took awhile because it was prepared to order, I never felt like I was receiving anything but the best service and care. The chutneys are very good and homemade too! Oh and do NOT miss out on some yummy garlic cheese naan, it'll change your life.
Update: it is a bit of a different experience dining in when the owner/manager(?) JC is not taking care of you. After a few months of delicious delivery we decided to go back to dine in, as we often saw when ordering there was a BOGO special on the (delicious) Tandoori Chilean Seabass, and we would much prefer to eat fish fresh / not carryout. We inquire with our waitress and she tells us it's only available online. Ok, but we came in tonight specifically to enjoy this special, nowhere does it mention online only... could we do it this once, order online for pickup but have it served here at table? "No, sorry, doesn't work that way"

To be clear: the food is absolutely delicious, but you might have a better experience taking it togo/delivery in your own kitchen.
I’ve dined in (prior to Covid 19) and had delivery in addition to take out. The food is consistently delicious not your typical Indian restaurant. They have 2 items that aren’t listed below chicken Kati rolls never had them before but they’re soo good. They have the spiciest chicken wings (very very spicy) but I love hot/spicy foods. My favorite Indian restaurant since the mid nineties.
Excellent Indian food focused on Mughlai cuisine.. way better than everything else you'll find with amazing wine prices... They have a beautiful patio setup as well for outdoor dining. Highly recommend trying the lamb chops, chicken tikka masala. Great veg dishes as well... Clean food... I'm a regular here thanks to the passion towards quality.

The tandoori lamb chops were so absolutely perfect! Every bite is like heaven. Garlic naan. Chicken tiki masala and the palak paneer —all phenomenal choices! No pictures because we literally dove right into eating. Best Indian food I’ve had
All I can say is WOW. This place was fantastic and the service was off the chart. My host named JC was incredible. His knowledge of wine and food was amazing. The food was 5 star and the customer service was 5 stars as well. If you have the opportunity to visit this restaurant please do and make sure you ask for JC. 5 stars all day.

Quite tasty, reasonably priced for portion sizes. Lamb pepper is one of the best Indian dishes in the US: well spiced without being burning too much. Gucchi dhania extremely savory and flavorful. Highly recommended
I usually only order delivery but came with a pregnant friend for a seated meal. The host was incredibly kind (and knowledgeable). He answered all of her questions and provided interesting insight into how our dishes would be prepared. Loved the patio setting. The heat lamps and lights created a lovely ambiance even in the middle of winter!
Food is delicious! We went for lunch. Only outdoor seating available still due to lingering shut down effects but still a good experience. Headlamps are available to keep you warm. Owner very helpful with helping us choose our options.
Our friends live in the neighborhood and brought us here for dinner. I have a long list of allergies and the manager JC was incredibly helpful and accommodating, suggesting dishes I could eat. Everything was absolutely delicious! We tried the chef’s special, the eggplant, coco lamb, the okra, and several other dishes. Everything was so flavorful and wonderful, the coco lamb being the standout. It was nice to sit outside on the patio to eat and we were able to bring our puppy which was nice. Highly recommend this place!
