Bennie's Italian Food in Marion Illinois is a local delight. Friendly attentive staff, delicious tasty food, and good wine. The restaurant is spacious and has a beautiful upstairs view. I got the salmon dinner. My daughter got a baked potato. My love got the Cannelloni florentine. All was tasty and delicious. Our server gave my daughter 4 quarters to get a toy from the change machine. She asked before giving it to her as well. I thought it was very nice of her so we tipped her good. 5 stars all day!! 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠

Bennie's is a great place for informal, Italian dining. There are not many restaurants in the area that serve Italian food. The cannelloni and lasagna are very good. There is plenty on the menu for those who aren't interested in Italian food, too. We enjoy the pieces of bread served with spiced olive oil when dining after 5:00 pm. The murals on the walls add a little flavor to the restaurant. I've never failed to find Bennie's clean and the service good. If there is an event at the Marion Civic Center, you may experience a wait before being seated. It is a very popular place to dine for those events as they are a short walk from one another.

A pleasant surprise! We were just passing through Marion looking for a place to eat and this looked good. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, food came out fast. All three of us enjoyed our dishes: chicken Parmesan, eggplant Parmesan, and shrimp Alfredo. Good stuff! πŸ‘

Wow, I came out of Adam's shoes. The smell of Italian food was so good. Not from the area. But, I had to go in. Everyone was very pleasant. Only had the sandwich. Was so good. Highly recommend for lunch.

First time we went, had Cat she was so helpful guiding us on the menu. The cheese bread is great, got the fettuccine and came with garlic bread. Very delicious!!

Week number 5: In Search of The Big Muddy Monster Our adventure today has taken us to Bennie's Italian Restaurant. We heard a rumor that the beast was smitten by the smell of the food here. As we approached we saw a glimpse into what I thought was the beast but I did not have my camera at the ready so no pictures. I have now learned my lesson and will have my camera at ready if I catch a glimpse at this magnificent and rare creature. So we ventured inside of the restaurant to see what tempted the beast. As soon as you enter the doors, the smell of their secret food hits you. I ordered the Cheesey Bread at first.. It tasted excellent and the wait was not too long. The second entree' came out at just the right time. We had ordered Baked Mostaccioli and it was topped full of cheese and tasted wonderful as well. The waitress was very kind and right on her game. The booths were set apart to give more room (not so stuffy). WeΔΊl, I now see why the beast made an appearence. All in all this is a good family restaurant or a great place for date night.

I had lasagna with red sauce and alfredo sauce. A friend odered that a few years back and I tried it and have always ordered it since. πŸ˜‹ Most of all this awesome resteraunt is known for their salad with Bennie's authentic garlic house dressing and it stays with you for a couple days but worth it. πŸ˜‹ πŸ˜‰
