Review Juneau's Sandwich Shop - Marrero

I have gone a few times on my lunch break and have never had a long wait even when they are busy. I've had the shrimp on bun, hot sausage poboy, and a spaghetti and meatball lunch plate. All were very good. Spaghetti and meatballs was seasoned well and came with corn. Everything is priced fairly and the service is always top notch and friendly. I definitely recommend.

Dressed 10" Italian sausage po-boy was large enough to share for lunch and completely satisfy the two of us. I hope to come back and try some of the other items on the menu!

Stopped by this fantastic old haunt my coworkers and I used to frequent when I worked on the West Bank years ago! Best roast beef Po-Boy, just like I remember it, but everything on the menu is incredible! Thanks to current owner, Nina, for the very generous hospitality and history of the place! Highly recommend!

Local favorite! It's been here since before my dad was still teaching across the street. The ladies behind the counter are always wonderful! Get the weenie on french if you've never been. Breakfast or lunch, you can't go wrong.

Great local place for lunchhour and snowballs definitely have love in them to beat that Louisiana heat.

First...it's a small place so don't be afraid to sit at a table next to someone you don't know. Beyond that the food is good and the prices are better than most places. They actually make their poboy full...not just a bunch of bread to eat. Go try it for yoself!

My husband and I were looking for po'boys and found this hole in a wall sandwich shop opposite the Marrero Middle School. We ordered half oyster and half shrimp po'boy and roast beef po'boy. It was so good and overstuffed. I love the fried oysters and everyone is so nice. We will definitely come back during our next visit to Louisiana.

U smoking crack?. I have been here several times and always, always been served with a smile ( Thanks Nina n staff ). I grew up on the westbank hearing about Juneau's but never took the time or had the opportunity to try it out until about a year ago. Love It!! Roast beef - great, Meatball - great, Weenie Sandwich - decadent & Shrimp - loaded n large. It is a cute, neighborhood hole in the wall and it's awesome. Btw I noticed that Gregpicadas, whos review is titled Juneau's on "Hungry Investors", said they were gonna try it out and let us know. What u waitin on? Finally to the nay sayers; seriously, are you?

Juneau's on "Hungry Investors". I'll keep this brief: I have never eaten here. I have read lots of reviews on this place. Most seem to be positive. Now, I know lots of places boast "the best roast beef" or "the best shrimp" poboy. It's kinda like every bar in the French Quarter boasts "the best margarita" or "the best Bloody Mary". Meh; tasting is believing. So, I'm planning on going here to see if this food actually is comparable to the opinions written in the reviews. But, I'm only going because this place was on the tv show " "Hungry Investors" with Jon Taffer. I love his shows, and for me, this means it's worth my time to check it out. I'll write another review once I've tasted the food. Have a great day! Beer.

Roast beef po boy is good, snowballs suck though. The snowballs are watered down and they pretty much put no syrup in them. You will be paying for a cup of ice if you but a snowball from there, just a fair warning.

Just happened upon this little placeas a coworker and I were driving around in the area. we are so glad that we spotted it. had a great lunch is surrounded by nice people and very sweet staff. I had the fried fish with the white beans, a Thursday special, and my coworker had the roast beef po boy which turned to be an amazing combination of debris and sliced beef in a nice rich gravy. My fish was amazing, ftiwd with a light batter that was crispy and tender. Going back to this little gem very soon

Disappointed but worth another try. Ive tried several things on menu and was disappointed by all except the fried shrimp poboy. Taste was good but could have been more generous with the shrimp. Place could use a very deep cleaning. The snowballs are very good and the kids working the stand are friendly and polite! Staff was friendly and prompt.

The breakfast menu they have posted doesn't really exist. When I asked why they had a menu up for breakfast, they said it was a new thing. Woman coughed in to her hand before making my sandwich.

Roast Beef Po-Boy...... YUM!!!. Today (Saturday), I went to this little neighborhood joint (meant as a compliment) for the first time. Nothing special about the look... in or out (other than it's picture postcard perfect... as a neighborhood joint). Film producers need to see this place. Cool little spot for a 'neighbood' scene.

I was getting my food 'to go'. Friendly customer recommended the roast beef po-boy. That's fine with me. So, I waited for mine to be made as I watched a trail of locals coming in to order.

I took that sandwich home, along with an order of crispy cheese fries (that I ate in the car as I drove)... and a grilled shrimp salad that I haven't even seen yet.

I sat down to eat my sandwich while I was watching college football.

WOW!!! This is a GREAT sandwich. The real shock was the BREAD. Delicious french bread... crispy... a little 'toothy'... with LOTS of flavor.

Breakfast and lunch times... Monday thru Saturday. Daily specials for lunch.

Oh, Baby... I WILL go there again. I certainly recommend it for you.

Satisfying Service. Customer service was great, see the smiles on my pictures? French Bread nice soft and chewy. The weenie Sandwich was awesome. Their Hot Sausage is the basic but made with love :) A definite do over

This place is a fantastic neighborhood sandwich shop! The hotdog poboy is to die for!! The place has new owners, and I feel that they are not as consistent as Juneaus once was, but that doesn't stop me from going!
