Loved this place!! Super cute stop along highway 1. Excellent food, has a good amount of non seafood options which is nice. The bartender was super friendly. For ordering everything is ordered at the front table then you pick it up, which seems pretty casual for how nice the food and place is. They have a beautiful pier with ample spots to sit and hang out. Definitely a great stop if you are looking for a little romantic spot to eat on your road trip.
Stayed in the Nicolina cottage on the water and LOVED IT.
if you stay here, make sure you read the book in the room that explain the history of this room and board-helped me appreciate it more, especially since the original owner is a fellow Croatian (from a town between Split and Dubrovnik).
Room service was amazing and the staff are genuinely nice.
The view is unique and beautiful, sunrise to sunset.
About a 7 hour drive from us, and worth it.
I just ate there and drank a coke because I had a group of 12 that I drove as their chauffer... I sat at the bar and had an amazing salad and some fresh hot bread. What I can say is that my clients raved about the food and service. The bartender and busser were super friendly and handled the rush like pros... I can't wait to go back and enjoy the food they couldn't stop talking about...
One of the best fish and chips experiences I have had in my life. So fresh.
The oysters were also fresh, and delicious, as well as the lobster roll.
I would recommend this as a place to stop for lunch to anyone driving by here. Totally worth the stop.
This is a five star restaurant when you consider the unforgettable location. But I have to voice my displeasure with these damned QR code ordering devices. Either I’m a spry 37 year old boomer or these things suck all the joy out of dining with my girlfriend. 0 stars to QR code dining!
Absolutely amazing service from everyone, including front desk, bartenders, servers, etc, and really good food. Our room, Uncle Andy's, was very comfortable and spacious and we were able to bring our dog. Only suggestions would be to have plusher towels and include salt and pepper with meals brought to rooms. There is road noise, but it dies down significantly at night due to the drop in traffic. Could hear guests in the neighboring room occasionally.
As I was 🚗 driving down Highway 1, nicks's cove appeared at the right time as I was hungry and sun was setting.
Took the patio spot to watch sunset. The BBQ oyster and Calamari was yum 😋
Fish burger was okay. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and food.
Unrivalled location and views, friendly staff, nice rooms (albeit expensive), they did give us a complimentary upgrade though. The restaurant appears to be a victim of covid - QR codes, iPads and closes at 7pm - not the vibe. There are better places to eat and drink around the bay.
All in all we would stay again.
We came for lunch. Good as usual.
Fried were suierb. Lobster Roll this time had just a bit too much fresh tarragon ...overwhelmed the lobster

Nick's Cove is an absolute paradise nestled along the shores of Tomales Bay. As soon as you arrive, you're greeted by a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. This boutique hotel is truly a hidden gem that exceeded all of my expectations.
The highlight of Nick's Cove has to be the stunning views. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee on your private deck or unwinding in one of their remodeled cottage rooms, the view is always a breathtaking backdrop. The cottages strike the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The attention to detail in the design and furnishings creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. But the true culinary journey begins at Nick's Cove Restaurant, led by none other than Top Chef Masters winner, Chris Cosentino. We had some of the most delicious and fresh oysters + lobster rolls of our lives there! Nick's Cove is a haven for those seeking a getaway that combines serene natural beauty, exceptional dining, and luxurious accommodations.
Delicious food! The BBQ oysters were awesome and is right on the water. Fast casual service which is fine by me. Also, full bar and the martinis looked good
Only used the nearby boat ramp. Be careful, one side is very shallow. And I wouldn't launch a boat on that side, right side facing it. Check the tides if your boat sits low in the water. Low tide, very shallow.
