Loved this place and extra bonus, the owner and staff are just the best - super friendly and helpful. The owner is so warm and attentive and you can tell he's so proud of the food in his restaurant. Hummus was REALLY delicious, you could really taste the olives in the olive oil and the slight tartness from lemon juice was to die for. We ordered the lamb chops the first time and came back again for more - they were beautifully tender and perfectly seasoned. Filet mignon was also delicious and super tender, and we ordered the chicken the first time and while it was good, felt like it was worth it to pass up for more of that lamb on our second visit. Each entree comes with soup, salad (so simple but so yum), and a rice dish. We loved the carrot/raisin rice and the green rice particularly. Finally, the rice pudding is PHENOMENAL! Loved the spices in there and it was perfectly creamy. The firni was a close second for me but my husband's favorite - deliciously creamy and the spices were similar to the rice pudding.

Had an awesome meal with really warm and welcoming service. Everything we ate was outstanding, including the hummus, Chapli kabob, and okra. The chocolate baklava was one of the best desserts I've ever had. Excellent experience overall

A gem in the wall, this restaurant has an intimate ambiance, staff service is friendly and helpful if new to the cuisine, and the food quality is amazing. Hills of Herat is a great experience and anyone who's interested in trying Afghan food should definitely try it.

A great experience at Hills of Herat. A very special shoutout to my man Mick for being our server. He really guided us well on what to order. The lamb chops were exceptional and above and beyond. The Mantoo is amazing too. I will definitely recommend this place and would definitely be coming here again.

We had our wedding catered by Hills of Herat and everyone was talking about the food for the longest time. After a year we went there and their food had gotten even better. Their Lamb Shanks πŸ˜‹ their fillet mignon Kabob 🀀 finishing your meal with their spectacular dessert & signature Shirchai πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ all I can say is go there once and I take no responsibility for your addiction πŸ˜†

We were recommended this place for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. The food was exquisite and presented beautifully. The hospitality was top notch like I'd never seen before. The only down fall for it being a halal place is that it's BYOB, which was unacceptable

Literally the best afghan food I have ever had! My husband and I catered for our wedding from Hills of Herat and the food made the wedding even more spectacular. We have a saying, "if the food is amazing then the wedding was phenomenal." Since Hills of Herat catered for us - we know everything on the menu is delicious - especially their Filet Mignon, Lamb Shanks, Chicken Kabob, Firni and Shir Chai. If you want mouth watering juicy tender meat this is the place to get it from. We love them and travel more than 1 and half hours to eat from Hills of Herat! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
