Made a visit tonight after a rough day at work, and my stress and frustration has been cured. The staff at this Steak n Shake are very friendly and professional, their three star rating on google does not do them justice. It seemed rather busy when I got there with plenty of people in the drive through and at tables. The manager was very kind and collected. He explained that they were making fresh chili and was very apologetic for making me wait for about 5 min. The rest of the staff was great, especially the woman with green/tealish hair. This has always been my favorite steak and shake, and the staff continues to prove themselves as my favorite.
I've always had a soft spot for Steak 'n Shake. It was one of my favorite treats as a kid many years ago. This location is fairly convenient for travelers on us 63 and Interstate 70. I found the restaurant to be clean each time I visited and the employees were helpful. The food was exactly quality you'd expect. They still make steak burgers, have the skinny french fries and a fairly expansive menu of shakes and freezes. The dining area is 1950s retro like all of their locations.
The food here is great. I eat here on a semi regular basis. The service is always friendly. My only qualms with this place is occasionally it takes a bit to get service when dining in. It is seldom a long wait, but when you are on a time crunch for lunch it is a bit inconvenient if you are wanting to sit and relax for a bit before heading back to work. Occasionally they also get my order incorrect, but will quickly remedy if they do. As stated above, for me it is just a time thing. If I am there for lunch, I am usually there for a quick lunch so waiting for my order to get fixed while coworkers finish their food is a bit inconvenient.
Literally the best third shift crew I’ve ever seen. These people were quick and attentive. Their great service was accompanied with good humor and wonderful attitudes. They communicated well, and I’m sure they could handle any rush with excellence. Good job!
Our fries were fresh n hot. The drive thru attendee, however, could've used less caffeine. He was moving so fast, he lost his manners a bit and almost didn't give us our complete order.
My husband and I stopped tonight after a long day! Tired and hungry at 11:30pm at night there isn't much to choose from.. let me just say I'm SUPER EXCITED we stopped here. They had 1 waiter on staff for the whole dining room and that's all that was needed. He was walking like myself when I used to do restaurant work-- Fast paced and to the point! Job well done.. our food was hot fresh and delicious which was also a plus- Kootos to the line cook! Let me just talk about cleanliness on top of it all this place sparkles.. The Chris Stapleton singing was the topper- the line cook can carry a tune as well! VERY PLEASED WITH OUR VISIT! 🤩
First time trying this chain and I was defiantly pleased. Got a number 1 meal and it tasted great! Fresh and fast. The fries are the really small straw type, not my favorite kind but even these were great!
