After taking the drive out to pay our respects to an amazing man we decided, the kids ands and I, had 15 minutes further west and visit a Long Island staple called All American Burger. What is there to say about the nostalgia of this restaurant. It has been there for absolutely forever. It has been open since 1963 and nothing about the place has changed. My son got two burgers. When asked how he thought they tasted he said all I taste are pickles I hate pickles and why is the meat so thin. I explained nostalgia My daughter got two cheeseburgers, when I asked her what she thought her response was the cheese taste like something. I'm not sure what but there's a hint of a flavor in there and I don't know what it's like. She then informs me that she absolutely hates sesame seeds and their buns have sesame seeds on them. I then decide to get my kids shakes my daughter orders a strawberry shake she tells me it tastes like medicine. It doesn't. Kenny enjoyed his shake but explained they were way too thick and hard to suck up through a straw. I had two cheeseburgers and they taste exactly like I remember them from being 18 years old going there and my friend Vinny's car. They both said the fries were good they are really salty which in their opinion is a good thing... This place has been around for 80 years, and I hope they're around for another 80 years so I can bring my grandkids here and they can see what we ate. I cannot wait to go back!

Not much of a difference from other fast food joints. Very retro setup which is cool. Pros Onion Rings are phenomenal Prices are unbeatable Cons No lettuce, tomato & only ketchup or mustard condiments Parking can be a pain

Best to take out unless it's a beautiful day to sit outside along Merrick Road. Great prices and they even take Visa now. Fast food atmosphere, more organized with the line and ordering. Line entrance on the left, out on the right. Fast and clean.

Prices were good! Order of onion runs had 4 small pieces but I guess that's how they keep prices down. But it was good. Order the quarter pounder. The beef patty was good and the bread was doughy. Good overall! Would eat here again

Huge line but worth the wait! The line is massive but moves quickly we got our food within 10 minutes. The burger is one the best that I have ever eaten, it hits the spot. I always get the quarter pounder with cheese it comes with ketchup, pickles and diced onions, the bun is a soft sesame bun. The burger is cooked around medium well but for some reason it so juicy and tasty. The prices are very reasonable especially now that beef prices are at all time high. High recommend, I give the burger a score of 9.2/10.

I haven’t been here since before the pandemic I don’t think. Don’t be alarmed by the line if there are people outside. It always goes by quick as they have four cashier lines going. It’s a small place with no seats inside of the building, however there are seats on the outside. It’s a very quick in-and-out deal they have going on which truly is the epitome of “fast food.” A lot of people say it’s overrated, but it’s just a solid and consistent place that you can get burgers/fries/hot dogs for under $3 each which is a deal you can’t beat. I recommend the cheeseburger, the Frank, and onion rings! I know they have good milkshakes but I wanted to grab ice cream next door. People travel long distances to come here, I would go if you’re in the area already, don’t make this what your whole trip is about!

A great fast food restaurant unique to Long Island. Food is good and shakes are great. Long lines aren't unusual.

The line goes pretty fast on a Saturday night (~10 mins) as there are 4 lines inside the building. There are a few tables outside and I see people eat outside their cars with the trunk opened. The quarter pounder with cheese is good and simple. Quarter pound patty with diced onions and ketchup and pickles. Think McDonald's burger but fresher and more oniony. Fries is a bit greasy, and onion rings are just okay. Skip the Hot Knish (fried mashed potato). Shake is okay. Everything is priced pretty good.

Long line outside proves its worth. Very flavorful double cheeseburger. Milkshakes are very thick consistency, like ice cream. Crunchy onion rings and some outdoor seating! Super low prices too, definitely a bang for your buck. 🍔

I have been coming here ever since I was little and I still love the double-double burger (double beef and double cheese). They don’t put a bunch of veggies on there like the fast food places always do. It’s perfection in simplicity. Fries are yummy and the potato knishes are crispy outside and silky smooth inside like they should be. When in the area, stop in and grab a burger and fries. You won’t regret it. Atmosphere gets 3 stars cuz there isn’t much seating. We ate in our car.

This was recommended while I was in the neighborhood. I got there and there was a long line. It went by very quickly. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, a hot dog and a strawberry shake. The cheeseburger was surprisingly finger licking good. This is a great spot and well worth the long line. I paid $11 total!!!!!!!!!!! 😱😁👏🏼🎉

Excellent food, just a homemade burger feel at this place. Been going for years, prices have stayed pretty consistently low which I'm sure the neighborhood appreciates greatly. Something for everybody here.

I came here not expecting too much. Especially given the prices I thought I would have to get 2 hamburgers and some extras to actually equate to a full meal. However I can attest that, while the burgers are smushed, the quarter pounder with cheese I got was a solid hamburger and I almost regret getting fries and the hot knish because boy was i stuffed. The staff was very efficient and moved a long line through extremely quickly. Pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back when I'm in the area

Food was fantastic. Burger was tasty and just greasy enough. Fries were incredible. The line was out the door and down the side of the building, but I waited no more than 10 minutes to place an order and my food came out almost immediately. Only downside is that portions are pretty small.... Order 2x what you think you need.

Excellent service and prices are very reasonable. Best knish I have ever had! Crispy outside and tender inside. Don’t be scared of the huge line as it goes very fast. Staff is super friendly and have a system that works great.

Classic example of the origins of American Fast Food. Quaint little building with the 50s flair makes you feel like you're in a movie! Formerly Cash Only, but they do take Debit cards now. Lines are long, but they move through them quickly - I started around the building and got to the counter in only about 10 minutes. They are super quick with service, as about 1 minute after I ordered, I got my full meal. When you pick up the order be sure to ask for sauces if you need extra. I'd liken the cheeseburgers to being McDonald's-esque but better. Super juicy sliders cooked just right. The fries were solid with a crunchy exterior and soft middle. And the onion rings were tasty, but a little too mushy for me. The shake was so thick that I had a hard time using my straw until I let it melt a bit! After a nice relaxing day at nearby Long Beach, this was a great way to cap the day! Go check it out!
