We were going to a friend's home for dinner on Thursday night and I was to bring appetizer and vegetable, which I couldn't cook working fulltime. I ordered all 3 calamari options, fried calamari, calamari arrabiata and calamari gorgonzola. All three were delicious and a big hit but I personally am OBSESSED with the gorgonzola dish. It was amazing!!! Never had anything like it. I thought it sounded odd but it's now my favorite!!! The mushrooms in garlic and oil were absolutely delicious as well!!! Awesome homemade food here!
I've never even heard of it, but the food was so delicious and plentiful. It was after my uncles funeral,and everyone was so nice and attentive. I would def recommend it!
I've never been here, so one day I decided to try a slice of Margherita pizza. It was very good. They have vegetarian pizza which I like. Not many places offer any. They're friendly and respectful, I'd definitely recommend this place to others.
I've been going here for a long time. It was my grandmother's favorite pizza place when she moved a few blocks away and she used to say "I lived in Brooklyn for over 70 years, I know good pizza". Giovanni's makes excellent pizza! If you like shrimp you have to get the shrimp pesto pizza. It's absolutely amazing.
I was very impressed by the food here. Being a small pizza joint, I did not have high expectations, and those were blown completely out of the water. I had the chicken gorgonzola, but sampled a large selection of other dishes, everything was fantastic. Large portions, very reasonable prices, ten out of ten for flavor. I am a BIG fan.
Giovannis is my number one favorite Italian restaurant on the island. Waiters are attentive and check up on you throughout your meal. I always get the chicken parmigiana and it never fails to amaze me. The sauce, “stewed” as told by the waiter, bursts with flavor and you can actually taste the freshness of the spice and tomato. I am not a big fan of sauce slathered all over my chicken parmigiana, but their version proved to be exceptional. The garlic knots are fresh and sizzling with garlic falling off, they were absolutely delicious and flavorful with every bite. To end the special, we had cheesecake and coffee. Again, both fresh and a good way to end a delicious meal. To add, the owner comes around occasionally to see how we’re doing. To say the least, I will be back. And I’ll be back again. And I’ll be back after that!

My family and I just had a wonderful meal at Giovanni's. What a gem! The staff and owner could not have been more gracious hosts! So accommodating and attentive to our every need - real "old school Italian" hospitality. More garlic knots? You got it! Pack up the enormous portions of left of chicken marsala? No problem! Enough about the warmth - I know people are concerned about the food. FANTASTIC. Excellent quality! My family LOVES their tomato sauce. Also, my wife's a vegan and finally - an Italian place that gives her a big enough salad. I highly recommend giving Giovanni's your business. Keep up the great work and thank you!

It looks like this place has lost all its reviews, it is not new at all, it has been here since I moved here 20 years ago. The food is still as delicious today as it it was then. On pasta nights, you can try a number of delicious dishes. I haven't had a bad one in 20 years. The pizza is amazing and the Grandma pie is to die for. Only issue is no delivery, so you will have to pick it up. One of the best pizzerias/italian restaurants on long island, PERIOD.
I really like it here- the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly and attentive. We had stopped at another restaurant but it didn’t smell good and I just did not like the atmosphere or vibes so we got back in the car and turned around. We decided to go here and I had the chicken (Francese) special- a lot of chicken dish choices and it comes with salad, pasta, garlic knots, coffee and cheesecake! Everything was delicious and I must say the Francese sauce was impeccable! I also ordered shrimp cocktail and sautéed spinach, fabulous! The limoncello desert was wonderful! They have blue Mountain Dew also. I’ve ordered pizza from here too, it’s delicious! Monday night around 8:00 we went and there was a group of I think 6 seated in the back and the music playing was good. We had a really nice dinner!

ate here countless. always great food and all employes are friendly and want to be there working says a lot to the owner everything i have had top notch food and service some of these other reviews about bad service i just can not believe been going hear for many years never had a bad experience or meal and the people I brought here for a night out loved it and go back there themselves thank you for being there.
