This place is great. The food is amazing and there are so many proteins, veggies, sauces and bases to build your own bowl how ever you like it. Healthy and delicious! All of the staff are super cool. They are professional but fun and sociable. Everyone from management to waisters/waitresses and food handlers it's definitely a good team. Highly recommend this place!

This place is just by far the best experience I've had in a long time! Just perfect customer service, fresh selection of vegtables. This place is prefect for vegetarians/vegans. I've not had such an amazing customer service from any restaurant in a long time. I will definitely be back .. the sauces were all amazing it was hard to pick my favorite. I highly recommend this place! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

UPDATE 1/13: I am changing my review from 2 to 4 stars because Genghis Grill reached out and wanted to make my online experience right. This level of customer service is very much appreciated. As I say below, I love going to this place and will continue to patronize the chain. Just be wary when you are doing a online order and be sure you are getting the most out of it.
Love eating here and making new food combinations. HOWEVER, I would not recommend online ordering. We ordered two large bowls but when we recieved the containers, they were not even half full. Paying $25 for a customized meal that doesn't even fill a regular to go container is unacceptable.

First time experience here at Genghis Grill.
-First off we had a party of 7 at 7pm on a Friday night.
-1 hour wait time on kung pao chicken
-Greasy forks, it was the 4th one I received. I gave up.
-Manager resolved the issue plus gave us a free bowl coupon which was thoughtful
-Presentation of the dish looked like leftovers. (Bowl hasn't been touched)
-Overall, I'd still give 3 stars. The taste/proportion/presentation for the price wasn't satisfying, but the manager service was great.

My experience at Genghis Grill was a wonderful, the staff there is wonderful I love the way they treat customers. What I love other then the staff was the service, it was really good, I didn't have to wait long for my food at all. My overall experience was a 10 and I would recommend them to family and friends.

Such a great dining experience. They give you the option of making your own bowl or having it done by the staff. I recommend trying the rum punch from their bar.

I say this every time I visit, but it needs to be said again. Totally love the idea of build your own bowl, but what is the point of having someone behind the buffet line to stare at you and not help you get raw meat? As a customer, it makes me extremely uncomfortable to touch tongs covered in juices from raw meats that other customers have splashed around. People spill all over the bar, spread the germs from the raw meat tongs down the line. Why not use the person standing behind the bar to wear gloves and at least assist in the meat section? At my location in Matthews, they've also removed the hand sanitizer at the end of the line. If you're going to force me to touch all these raw meat covered items, at least provide a cleaning mechanism at the end.

Have been here twice. The food is great, but the service both times has been sub-par. I ordered the regular size bowl on both trips, which is supposed to come with 2 sides. On my first trip, the cook argued with me saying that because I ordered the noodles that I only got one side. This most recent trip, I ordered rice and cabbage as my sides, but was only given the rice. I would have asked the waitress to fix the mistake, but we did not see her for the entire meal, until she finally came to our table, after we were finished eating, to get us a refill on our drinks, which as this point was unnecessary. Don't believe I'll be giving this place another chance.

Well I love Genghis but the last 2 times these people don’t think or corporate needs to revise policies. The food was great but I tried to order a fishbowl margarita and was told for the second time I couldn’t order one unless me and my wife shared. I asked why and was told that it was policy but my question back was I am nearly 300 lbs plus asked who was going to drive me, my wife and my 2 kids home. Not nearly enough alcohol to get me drunk, sorry Genghis. I may never go back till they change the damn policy!!!!!!!!!

The food was delicious!! I had enough left for 1-2 more meals. The large stainless bowl looked rather small but it turned into a mountain of wonderfulness! The double fudge brownie with ice cream that my daughter and I split was one of the best brownies I have ever eaten.

Me and my girl went here for her birthday dinner. this was the place she chose, she went originally with a friend and I've never been I absolutely fell in love.there is another sushi place in Charlotte-actually Pineville that I consider to be my favorite restaurant just because I know the sushi chef personally just from how many times I've attended the establishment we are now on a first name basis. I've always called this my favorite restaurant after going to Genghis Grill and dealing with a very professional down-to-earth staff and an awesome style of self choice food items this is now tied for first place on my favorite restaurant list

The Food was so good! But we haven't come in a year, and noticed the price seemed 3-4 dollars higher than last time. Great service! Super sweet server. Clean restaurant. Relaxing environment. Came from the gym and decided to come eat healthy. Where was the steak? We noticed it was gone.

Where do I start? Greeted on a Wednesday night with no host/hostess. Tried to stand at the food bar and get someone's attention. After standing there about 5 minutes I finally went up to the front to try and grab someone else's attention. I finally did after a couple minutes, and got my food Kama they cooked it fairly quickly as it was the only one on the grill. I go and sit up at the bar and waitress brings her little girl and sits up at the bar next to the little girl. I have an issue with children sitting at a bar. After the food is prepared it sits behind the bar for probably about 3 minutes then the bartender finally tries to give me the food without my having paid for it. I'm an honest person so I tell him I have not paid for the food. He can ring me up he has to get a waitress to ring me up. She takes my card Rings me up and disappears. It takes another proximately 4 minutes for anyone to realize that no one's giving me my food they weren't even within earshot for me too flag them down. I will not be back, and that's too bad because this food is really good.

Did the Manager just take my incorrect order, which I noticed in the car...from the bar, to the grill, and PICK the noodles out of two takeout dishes and give them back to me, like issue solved? Why YES he did �
This was the first issue I've encountered here; we have been weekly Thursday Takeout customers and � the food. The second Manager on duty did offer me two free bowls to return.
