Review Magic Wok - Maumee

Wow. Very rude! We’ve come here many times over the years, and never had a problem until this evening. Frankly, the food is just fine. It’s not great, but it’s totally doable when you’re out and about, heading home not wanting to cook. We ordered a family sized beef fried rice, family sized chicken fried rice, almond boneless chicken, five egg rolls and a mango mandarin smoothie. That is not what we got, it was two chicken fried rice boxes no almond boneless chicken and no sweet and sour sauce. So we sat in line again, pulled BACK around and were told to pass the food back into the restaurant so he could “check the bag” and he took it in picked the chicken out of one of the fried rice containers and swapped it with beef. Three scoops out, three back in, added the “almond boneless chicken” and rudely said “there’s no mistake everything is in here” but we SAW him do it. Anyhow, got home, opened the ABC and it’s sweet and sour chicken which no one likes. I called and said I’m sorry to bother you but we’ve had a mistake, and he wanted to argue kept saying “it’s right” no, it’s not right, we’ve eaten here for 30 years. Unless the recipe changed in the last month which I doubt. I said this would be very easy to fix, and more being told that I was wrong, I assured this person it’s incorrect…that it could just be swapped and sure it LOOKED like ABC but it definitely was not. More attitude so I said well, okay, then I guess we won’t come back because it’s really an easy fix, just put a replacement out or on the books. Instead of finding a solution I’m hung up on. That’s it. After literally three decades we are DONE. I don’t know the man’s name, the receipt says “LillyAnn” and it’s surely not her. I have no doubt that someone with a temper like his has gone unnoticed. I didn’t yell, I didn’t Karen, I wasn’t rude, no cussing and he really found it appropriate to go off and hang up? Too bad. I don’t leave negative reviews either unless something is really wrong. This was an egregious mishandling of customer service basics. It’s not his restaurant my guess and if it is…good luck to you sir.

I lived in maumee for a short while years ago If you are hungry I would recommend getting a family sized meal they really feed 1 and maybe a little leftover for a tiny snack for me it was the only way I ever got my money's worth and they were also reasonably priced the regular size meals are ok if you aren't that hungry or just want to try an item. Also the people who worked here treated me pretty decently

I tried to order the 2 for $10 online but there wasn't a way to add special instructions & when I tried to order it at the drive-thru, it wasn't offered. I ordered pad Thai & bourbon chicken both with extra sauce & extra chicken in the pad Thai & I couldn't tell if they added the extra sauce. Had I not added the extra chicken, there would have been very little & most of it was tough. However, the employee at the window was very courteous and my food was prepared quickly.

Just got home with drive thru order and not even what we ordered. Side sauce cups are either used or I guess paying for a cup filled about 1/5 is the new norm. And no way to contact, phone rings continuously. Would give negative stars ideas possible.

Worst food ever and I like magic wok. Pepper steak had no gravy, vegetables were super hard and egg roll was greasy/mushy. When I got to work found my order this way. No way to go back and have it fixed. 10.50 in the trash will not go back.

First time there. The food was good. We got the General Tso's chicken, but it was more sweet than spicy. It tasted more like sweet and sour chicken. Was still really good, we just wanted something spicy. Maybe they can spice it up a little or something.

Rice is over cooked and when I order I got back to work to find no utensils It was snowing and roads were terrible so I wasn’t going back out so no food
