This has been one of my favorite restuarants in McAllen for years! I have lived out of the valley for at least 3 1/2 and love coming here every time I visit. The wait staff always remembers me and treats me like a part of their family. (Pro-tip: Ask for Alex! He's sweet and very attentive.) I love the salads, pastas (especially Santa Fe!) and the specials are great everyday. I cannot recommend this restuarant enough!

Went in and had dinner with my husband a few nights ago. We absolutely love coming here and the new menu looks great!! The atmosphere is fun and everyone seems to know each other, it's like an episode of Cheers! We like to order the Angus Burger and pour their queso blanco all over!! #lovesit
Most scrumptious place to eat at. Everything is so so delicious. I literally get so happy when my husband says he's taking me to eat here. The service is above and beyond. Definitely a must.

Wanted something light-ish.🤪 Fried cream cheese with jalapeños. My wife and I chose the Texas style chicken salad on avocado. It was AWESOME!!! It had cilantro pesto, bell pepper and grapes. I also had tomato basil and she had the French onion soup. I also had a Paloma. Great ambiance and super friendly staff.
I went for dinner yesterday (Friday night) looking for a healthier, lighter menu. I was not disappointed! The Crispy Brussels were a great starter: flavored with sriracha aioli, toasted almonds, and honey. I've been here before but had not tried the Pesto Grilled Salmon. It is a salmon filet on fresh spinach and grilled veggies with the most amazing pesto sauce! I loved it! My boyfriend was satisfied with the Grilled Chicken Breast served with a side of mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables.
I dont come here often just because I'm not in the area, but I'm never disappointed when stopping by for lunch.one of the friendliest staff I've experienced in McAllen. The menu has a good variety of choices, and we usually get the same dishes. Try the beef wrap, very good. There was a problem with my plate on this visit, but the waitress quickly fixed the problem. The owner/manager was walking around greeting patrons, some of whom are regulars.
The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. Service is great. I would definitely return.

Saturday Fun! At City Cafe! One of my favorite spots in RGV. Is casual and cozy. Great selection of food and wine, Steve is always happy to share the day special and pair it with a drink. I love their Vegetable Thai Curry, yes I am vegan, and their French imported Pinot Noir Hob Nob.
Just added this! You can call 1/2 Maria or 1/2 veggies! Either way it is only at City Cafe! Love the people, love the service!

A Mcallen staple for many years. A place where there's a bite for everyone. From light fare such as salads, soups, and sandwiches, to hearty pastas and meatloaf. Save some room to indulge in one of their many home made desserts, or maybe a cocktail.
A staple in McAllen. A must try. Quaint lunch spot where you are sure to have a quality meal. I highly recommend the Thai Chicken Curry, I wouldn’t know where else to get one this good in our area.
