Hometown, downtown McHenery "Just a good old-fashioned Diner" family owned since 1968 Mom Shirley started it in 1968 and daughter Terry keeps it going. I had the Big French Chef eggs, bacon, sausage links, hash browns and French toast. Extra French toast hashbrown substituted for extra French toast. Thank you Terry and family for an excellent downtown McHenry experience!
We just had the hamburger steak mushrooms grilled onions mashed potato and soup and my wife had the chicken equivalent and it was delicious, apparently it’s a Monday dish, every Monday.
Love this place! Fabulous food at affordable prices! This is not a Brittish diner, totally American. They close at 2pm not 4pm.
Best Biscuits and Gravy I’ve had in while, and the bacon was crispy... great way to start a Monday morning.

Great little breakfast joint. Nice selection of kids books to keep the boy entertained, mom had the French toast I had the country biscuits and gravy. Both plates were cleaned in no time. Will be eating here again for sure.

Food is delicious and the service is delightful!
Small town diner feel. Service was outstanding. Food was average. While we were there we witnessed two different tables send food back because of problems. Not sure what the problems were. We will ho back.
Great little place. Came in a group of 6 so at the time they stuck us in the bar next door. Still a great time. Had the Big Chef. Pancakes were fantastic and hashbrowns were actually crispy. Definitely a save for me.

Going past this place for 20 years and I always say we got to stop and eat there, finally ...we did today and it was the best experience ever ! food is great service was great. I got the breakfast tacos they were amazing ! , you don't see these on other restaurants menus.
Phenomenal mom and pop breakfast spot. Hot food and coffee. They were not shy with the extra bacon either! Awesome atmosphere and super clean with friendly staff. Small seating so come at a good time. This is what all breakfast spots should try and be.
Good food, smaller proportions so don’t be afraid to order more than one meal! The meals are priced right for the size… try it out!

Amazing little gem that's in town. The service and food was amazing. So good and memorable I bought a hat for my collection.
Absolutely amazing. Do not miss this spot for breakfast or lunch. The service was out of sight, and the coffee cups were kept full and HOT. So great.
