Best kept secret in Mac - this place should not be a secret. Wonderful loose leaf teas, tea accessories, and gourmet chocolate. Customer service is wonderful, very knowledgeable and kind. I'd highly recommend this spot. Try it out, it's lovely.

I’m in love with Velvet Monkey! The variety of teas are fabulous. From ‘Happy’ to African Chai to ‘For Her’, whether you’re battling with the flu or just need some energy, there’s a tea for everyone! I could sip tea and sit here all day long.

Sitting at home in Southern California enjoying your tea, Vintage Earl Grey. I am very glad I came in and grabbed a few ounces of this tea before heading home last week. Atmosphere is relaxed and calm. If I lived in town I would have no problems coming in to enjoy tea with friends, rather than going to a coffee chain. Love your shop!

I really hope they stay open. The staff are the nicest people and I hope they're doing well. Great loose-leaf tea and fresh-made tea options. Cool teapots and accessories. Great chocolates and baklava. I recommend their lavender lemonade too, if you're not in the mood for tea.

I have become enamored with this charming tea room. My journey into my new found love of tea started with a delicious Dark Chocolate Peppermint tea. I was instantly smitten. I have since branched out to a number of teas, my home often taking on the subtle hint of the latest blend. I would be remiss if I did not also talk about the amazing owners, Serengeti and Richard, and their charming assistant Sierra. They are all knowledgeable and kind. I am always greeted with such warmth as they will often talk with me about all of the teas as I work my way through the lot. I have laughed with them and learned from them. They have all together created a welcoming environment, to sit in a beautiful place and discover a new passion. Thank you to Serengeti, Richard, and Sierra for introducing me to this wonderful new world❤️

This is an amazing store, with amazing tea. You get a good bang-for-your buck, and its locally owned and operated. There are also good organic options, and the workers are masters in their crafts. There is by far not enough business in this shop, so I urge you to stop by and pick up some tea or boba.
