Anyone that doesn't love That Little Restaurant must not like country cooking. The best home cooked southern food in Melbourne. It's not fancy but I bet your grandmothers kitchen wasn't either but they both make great food and it's clean, inexpensive and served with a smile.
THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST BREAKFAST PLACE IN MELBOURNE AND THERE GRITS ARE MY FAVORITE ..NO ONE MAKES GRITS QUITE LIKE.... THAT LITTLE RESTARAUNT,,,,,
I LOVE YA'LL
I love diners! This 1 is probably the BEST diner I have ever eaten at! The amount of food is always generous for cheap!!!! Home cooked comfort food! Takeout is always fast and tastes as if you ate at their tables! The atmosphere is homey! The service is great and staff always very friendly! They have a lot of regular customers, and staff go above and beyond as if everyone is a regular! I highly recommend eating at this place whenever you come to town! Or even if you live in the are!
The menu shown is not up to date! But the food is amazing! I ordered the roast beef lunch portion that comes with mashed potatoes, vegetable and dinner roll and it was actually $8.95 plus tax rather than the $6.95 mentioned on the menu on this site. But for me, it's enough for 2 meals! Love it!
I went here just to try it out as i heard positive reviews. There were alot of 'locals' and the decor is outdated, but the food was fresh and delicious. The service was also great, such nice people! My burger was fantastic and the fries were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!
There should be more places like this. Good food and nothing to not like. Grits the way they should be.
The food was great! In our group we ordered a reuben, shrimp and egg salad. The sweet potato fries were better than the regular fries.

Surprisingly delicious! Stopped in for brunch a few weeks ago was really surprised how good it was! Will be back very soon :)
Perfect!. I loved the food and the place. I am sure lunch is good too, but only had breakfast. A really good breakfast. The biscuits, grits, eggs,& ham were just right. Pancakes and French toast excellent too.
Incredible, fast breakfast food. Very tasty biscuits and gravy. Cramped seating, very busy, no lobby space to speak of, which makes waiting to be seated a little awkward. Great family feel though.
Staff is great just like the food. It's a must for breakfast.
Inexpensive, okay food, great service. Well, you can't expect the best food at the lowest price but That Little Restaurant does a pretty good job given the price they charge. Very inexpensive. And the service is fantastically fast, efficient, and friendly. I go there because of the staff.
A little gem of a restaurant, i've eaten here for years, usually a couple times a week. The menu offers a nice variety and the prices are very good. Sadly my last couple of visits have been disappointing. One time the pancakes were so floury they wouldn't hold together enough to stay on the fork. The server replaced them but the replacements had the same problem. Guess the batter was off. I was very surprised because they've been perfect in the past. Another visit the potato salad was horrible, huge chunks of potato with very little dressing. Perhaps they've changed cooks and if so it's not been for the better.
This restaurant is the best place I have ever eaten at great food great service an great owners! They have the best food selection in town along with prices :) if ur ever hungry an want good food this is the place to go to ;)!!!!!
I was very impressed with my first visit. I had some incredibly tasty pancakes, sausage, and orange juice.
Wonderful little place. One of our favorite spots after church. Great food and excellent service.
I have told my friends about this spot.
Try it.
Great breakfast and awesome service!
When ever we visit. My wife and I are from Maryland and we come to Melbourne to visit my Daughter, and when we do we always have our meals there and .I never knew that there were so many of them.I am quite hard to satisfie with my food but this place does and excelent job of satisfing my food needs and always stop there when we visit .
Best b&g in the county. Service was fast. Great way to spend an hour when you forget the keys to the office.
Good food, tiny place.. My boyfriend and I went here on the word that the food is great!! We went for breakfast,so it was sooo packed, which I expected. However, what I didn't expect was how tiny the place was. We got seated by the wall and people were constantly scooting by our table to get it. At one point I was afraid someone's bottom was going to knock over my drink.
The food was pretty good, and the prices were great. I'd go again, but I'd sit somewhere else, probably outside so I didn't feel so nervous/anxious.
Food's Great! Pictured Menu Pricing is NOT correct!!. Great food - reasonably priced. Just so you're aware - the pricing is more expensive than what is pictured. ENJOY!!
Finally. My wife and I have lived here for four years and driven past "That Little Restaurant" many many times always saying we need to check that place out. So we finally went in for breakfast and all I can say is , why go anywhere else!
The atmosphere immediately makes you feel right at home , the friendly smiles of the staff welcoming you right in, and the food is what mama should have made!!
I love this restaurant. It's got good food at a cheap price and a nice local, family environment!
Great food good prices nice wait staff who could ask for anything more. I rate it 8-1/2 of 10

"BEST BISCUIT IN BREVARD"
I had to smile when I read the name blinking at me from my random name generator. There are not many good reasons to go OTB from an island boy's perspective. One of the best is the biscuits served at That Little Restaurant in the bristling urban metropolis known as Melbourne, FL. This little slice of paradise within paradise was opened in 1992 by Noreen Goldsmith. Since then, this little chow house has been THE gold standard for your basic fair-priced breakfast in South Brevard County going on 31 years now. Going out on a limb here, Noreen is onto something and is definitely doing a lot of things right. I have consumed ensilage here more than 50 times and have yet to walk away dissatisfied in the least.
As luck would have it, my waitress was Rosa today. Rosa has been here for 17 years and her smile is just as big and welcoming as it was over a decade ago. I've really had a big 3Q on waitstaff. Excellence all around with a few exclusions. If you haven't been to That Little Restaurant before, you should be made aware of a few quirks. Firstly, when there is no line, it's seat yourself, unless it's not. The person making this decision is the lady or gentleman strategically located in the center of the room between the two dining rooms. The other quirky thing about this excellent estaminet is the cashier. As with the lovely Rosa, she has also been here forever and a day. If you are expecting warmth, congeniality, or any human emotion, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a, "I hope everything was to your enjoyment, please come again" it just ain't happening. This is why, after encountering this robot of an individual the first few times, I leave cash on the table. That said, everything else here, and I do mean everything, is Dy-no-mite! Everyone is happy and cheerful and makes you feel welcomed like everyone belongs (cue...Kum ba yah).
Today, I asked Rosa for an order of the Taylor Ham & Eggs (after minutes of antagonizing anxiety over which of the many varieties of eggs to go with), hash browns, the aforementioned gold standard biscuit and a griddle cake.
Relaxing in the friendly atmosphere, I had to smile as a local; knowing this, this place was what The Space Coast was all about. There is nothing like feeling you are home when not home. Pulling me from my homespun ruminations, Rosa set my order down, asked if I needed anything else, flashed her award-winning smile, and skedaddled off to attend to her other tables. The journey has been a bit circumferanous, but we are finally at the crux of this review...the food.
Just direct your eyeballs to those pictures and look, I said look at that plate and Sweet Southern Nanny that biscuit! The ham was abundant, perfectly cooked and delicious, the eggs a perfect over-medium and the hash browns crunchy as directed by the line cooks of old. One bite of the biscuit and I knew they had done it again. This has to be the best biscuit ever to grace my gullet. By a mile. The pancake was made to order, grilled to a sublime perfection and a great accompaniment to the other grub in my order. Now, is this place going to win any James Beard awards? Most likely not. That being said, for fast, quality food at the fairest price in town:
Big Boy says, "If this joint were within a mile of my place, I would eat here three times a day and offer to buy in."
Loved it will come back and tell friends it's the place to go for great food, help and environment!
Awesome little spot to have any meal ! I myself had breakfast and it was so good 👍🏼 my waitress was very fast and friendly. I would go back 100%
Awesome, great service! Thank you guys so much. This was my first time here and I left fat & happy lol.
Great place! Staff are friendly. Quick service. A LOT of food for the money!
Best diner in town. Country fried steak is always a hit with me. Service is cheerful and efficient. All of their food looked so good coming out of the kitchen. Prices are pocket friendly. Worst part is having to make a decision on what to order.
What a terrific little diner! Prices are what they used to be in the 90s. Very affordable and quality food. Large portion sizes. Lots of servers to refill coffee and such. Waitress was attentive and polite. The omelettes we're huge, lots of filling, and good side options. Pancakes were thick and fluffy. Will definitely be back to try their lunch menu too!
We go here for breakfast on a regular basis. Although very busy during breakfast time, we almost always are seated immediately. All the servers are great and on top of things. The breakfast items are cooked perfectly. I suggest the make your own omelette.
Very friendly little local diner style restaurant. Good food at a good price and always friendly and attentive service. My whole family enjoys this place for get togethers and quick lunches. Nothing fancy, just a great local restaurant to enjoy many beef and seafood specials along with great tuna salad platters like I had today.
My scrapple breakfast was perfect and my friend's vegetable omelet was huge and his hash browns perfect, just lightly crisped! Always ample portions. Rosie was the perfectly attentive server.
