This place was fantastic. We had a part of 20 for my moms birthday and they did an exceptional job serving us.
They have a wide selection of special and the menu has something for everyone.
We got the surfboard to start which is a huge sushi platter. The fish tasted great and the appearance was awesome.
I had the grouper which was a special this evening and it was fantastic! It was served over a bed of mashed potatoes and spinach.
I would definitely give this place a try!! Trust me you won’t regret it.

This place is amazing. Indoor and outdoor seating with live music outside on the night we went. Their menu has a wide variety of foods of high quality. The burgers that my wife and I got were AMAZING. Would definitely recommend anyone coming downtown to eat here and possibly stay for some drinks as well

Matt's Casbah large outdoor patio is a fun spot to enjoy some drinks, have a good conversation, and enjoy the Florida weather, all with ample shade and fans to keep it enjoyable. A surprising treat is their sushi. Both their simple and specialty rolls were deliciou, rolled with fresh ingredients, and perfectly scrumptious rice. May 2022

I went around opening, a reservation wasn’t really necessary. I had the fried dumplings - they came out super fast. The filling was good and they were plump. I also had a Garnet &Gold sushi roll. I sent that photo to so many friends... “I found the roll that has exceeded the tempura crunchy threshold.” I mean there was A LOT (see photo). Topped it off with the Peanut Butter pie. It was smooth and not cloyingly sweet. A nice way to end lunch. My bartender was great. She was very attentive all the while filling drink orders and handling the outside bar area. I’m looking forward to revisiting and trying something different from this eclectic menu and restaurant.

Great food and awesome service! I showed up for lunch and had a philly roll plus the tuna special (recommended). It was served on time, it was delicious, and the atmosphere is open and fun. If you're into sushi, give it a go! When something is spicy, it actually IS spicy. So make sure if it says spicy or not that you actually want spicy or not.

Very good food, many options for vegetarian, gluten free, or meat eaters. The salad was fresh and delicious. I got grilled chicken with sesame dressing and was pleased. The server was friendly and adequately handled our large group. The only negative thing I can say is that the kitchen door is extremely loud and servers are entering it all the time so it's a little unnerving, but that's nobody's fault. Will definitely be back and just make sure that we sit more towards the front of the restaurant or outside. The back is beautiful with the hanging silks from the ceiling, but too noisy.

This place is worth it for the sushi rolls they served. It’s amazing, good flavors and fresh produce. The flat bread was supposed to have sun dried tomato pesto but it was just cheese. The crab cake is also a miss since the sauce was too acid. The service was great. The place inside has many “personalities”. You don’t know if you are in an Indian restaurant or at a surf shop or at a Spanish restaurant. It makes for a fun experience.

Very good sushi rolls, originals, with lots of ingredients. We ordered the crazy roll, spicy tuna, dragon roll and another one with crab. There were all delicious. We also try one of the pizzas (we asked for the pesto and sundried tomatoes), it was good, but with no pesto or tomatoes. The crab cake was a fail.. The ambiance is very weird, you can feel like if you are in India or in Spain, or at the beach, at the same time. Too many personalities. Good prices.

Cedar Plank Salmon is delicious. It's paired with a fresh airy vegetable medley. 😋 I personally love when I can find something that tastes great, and is healthy for you too! Plus they have great live music.

Had a lovely brunch with friends here. We all got mimosas floats. They have different flavors of mimosas. I also got their chocolate waffle. It was so good. Would definitely recommend this place for brunch.

We've been here a few times usually for beverages. They have a good happy hour for beverages , but the sushi Happy Hour prices are the same as the regular menu. Doesnt seem too special. The drinks and the California Roll was good and it's a nice outdoor setting on a sunny day.

Everyone was thrilled with how quickly their drinks showed up and how often the servers came around to attend to them.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff did a fantastic job making sure there was plenty at all times!
We were so happy with the attention to detail and really need to give a special thanks to Chef Matt for a beautiful venue and delicious food, Shelley for handling all the event details and setting it all up, and Bruce for making sure we never needed for anything and making sure everything ran smoothly!

What an amazing experience, restaurant decorations we're so awesome, restaurant look super clean, service was very fast and great, food also so yummy, in the end we adventure ourselves with a chocolate crust peanut butter pie, we even almost order another one togo, but we we're available to control ourselves, SO before our trip ends, we can go back and visit again

This place was so great! My family loved the atmosphere, very casual but food was high quality. My vegetarian siblings loved their choices, and my father found the flat bread pizza to be delicious. The sushi is truly phenomenal, would definitely visit again!

We stopped in twice last night ! First time sat at the bar, great HH prices on drafts= YAY! Just a bar, kinda rough up there, lot of locals but fun === by rough I mean like old, in need of paint or remove un-used taps - So we stopped back later, they had live music out on the patio playing at the perfect sound level — we had a few more beers and the steak flatbread was absolutely on point delicious!! Seriously it was very very good ! We will most definitely be back ! Keep doing what your doing

The food was great! I had a Moroccan chicken dish with lava beans and couscous . Two glasses of white wine. They were sparse on the amount of wince they give you. The food was great ! Service okay .

We usually sit at the bar and have a good experience, but last night family from out of town came to visit so we got a table. There were 7 of us, it took server Pauly D., at least 15 minutes to get the drinks to the table (except my uncle’s drink. The server didn’t realize the Sweetwater 420 was out so it took another 15 min to get his beer. We know this because he texted his wife when he got there at 7 and texted her again at 7:38 when he finally got the one beer he came for). We ordered food and ended up waiting so long to get it that we were there for two and a half hours. The food tasted old and dried out as if it were in the window for a long, LONG time before the server brought it out. Our tabs were automatically gratuitized at 22% (which to us—people who have all worked in the business—think is ridiculously high)...it’s the next day and all of us are still talking about what a ridiculously horrible experience it was and we feel it was due to Pauly knowing his tip was coming reguardless of his performance.

Tonight was my 3rd and last disappointing meal at Matt's Casbah! Aside from a nice atmosphere, the food is overpriced and quality and quantity is inconsistent. I was served bad Salmon eggs! The tuna tostada was not on a tostada, it was on rice crackers, and the tuna was brown. Upon asking why the tuna is brown, they said it was from the sesami oil! Brown tuna is not asthetically pleasing and after having been served clearly bad Salmon eggs, I was gun shy! I do not recommend this place!

The sushi rolls were excellent but the service was on the poor side. This was disappointing since the last time service was very good. It wasn't very busy either, perhaps it was a new waitress who is learning. If so, I would suggest a more experienced server keeping a closer eye on things.

Service was non existent...waited 40 minutes just to get an appetizer and when we got it it was cold, couldn't get a drink...had to go to the bar because our server didn't bother to check back with us...hope it will get better..because I really use to love dining there and listening to good bands playing.

Went there last night, February 24th for a Bachelorette party dinner. Sat down at 5:26 and was served dinner at 6:38!!! Unexceptionable!! $40 wasted. So upset... NEVER AGAIN. We informed the waiter at the beginning that we had Painting with a Twist and must be out by 6:45, didn’t even get to enjoy my food. All of us were so disappointed. Was not a good start to the brides celebration!! Matt’s, you need to do better!
