My husband and I had stopped in once before but just for drinks, this time we decided to have dinner along with drinks. I had the cottage pie with Guinness gravy, vegetables, mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese on top. It was very good! I had the Planters Punch with dinner and then had a Guinness as an after dinner drink! My husband got their wings with buffalo sauce. He asked for them to be extra, extra crispy and they came out perfectly! He enjoyed them! The service was great too and the atmosphere is very cozy and homey. We will definitely go back! I forgot to mention our appetizer! We had the Irish Nachos. You can't go wrong with fries covered in Harp Lager beer cheese, bacon and red onions! Very delicious!
I had the most delightful experience today at this cute little pub. Tara & Hannah, the bartenders, greeted me with a warm welcome and provided friendly service throughout. The roast beef sandwich was made with love, evident in every delicious bite. The cozy vibes, from the ambient lighting to the music, transported me to Ireland. The pints of Guinness were impeccably poured, ice-cold, and flawless. Thank you for such a lovely experience – can't wait to return!
The atmosphere is amazing! If I owned an Irish pub this would be the model for it. Seat yourself was straight forward with quick service (we were the first ones in for brunch). I ordered an Irish coffee which was delicious. I got the full Irish breakfast and it was exactly how I remembered it from my trip to Ireland. Would have loved some Irish hot tea and cream but this is Florida and 88 degrees 24/7 so I can understand the lack.
The bar is well stocked with a range of Irish whiskeys and a Irish beers on tap-pubs in Ireland usually only have the big four (Guinness, special run Guinness, harp, Smithwicks and maybe a few others in bottles). If you come here wanting your Budweiser, Coors, or Miller you may be disappointed-maybe this is your opportunity to try something new! They may have it in bottles-I didn’t and would never ask-why would I?
Anyway, rant over. Try this place out! It’s cozy and the food is excellent. Going to return for a music night and some pints and will review again to let you know what I think.
Update: went back and sat in the snug- what’s a nice atmosphere! Had the fish & chips this time and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! And I’ve had it it Ireland and England. I definitely recommend!
Highly recommend this place if you want an Irish Pub that is not super loud. It is small, offers cold beer, good food and quick service. Had the cottage pie, bangers and mash and the roast beef sandwich with horseradish and beef au jus. Randomly ordered garlic teriyaki wings on happy hour and they were great!
This place is a hidden gem. I was surprised reading some of the lower rated reviews, wondering if they used to have bad service/employees. But I went here for the first time a few months ago, and have been back many times since. I have never encountered bad service or rude employees. The food is… incredible. It’s some of the most flavorful and delicious food I’ve ever had at a restaurant/bar. It also comes out almost shockingly fast and fresh. The crispy Brussel sprouts are incredible, bangers and mash slaps, literally everything I’ve tried has been amazing. The drinks are also phenomenal, even as someone who’s not that into beer or whiskey. There’s something for everyone here. The vibes are amazing, indoors is super cozy and chill, out front there’s seating and usually live music. Out back there’s more seating, a beautiful atmosphere/lights and a jumbo jenga set. I cannot recommend this place enough. The only thing I suggest is that if you want food and it’s Friday/Saturday, I’d go earlier (like before 8ish?) because sometimes they stop serving food early if they’re super busy. Doesn’t bother me, since it only happens if they’re overwhelmingly busy and they have a small kitchen and are family owned. Imo, if you want something super consistent but mid, go to a chain like Chili’s. Give this place a try, it’s so much better than Meg’s!
Love the quaintness of this place. Went early on a Tuesday night. The bartender/waiter did a good job keeping up with everything. We had the Irish sausage in the pretzel bun and the Fish and chips. It was all cooked perfect. Along with the must have Guiness. We will be back!
This is a wonderful place to take someone for a special occasion. You have outside and inside seating. And the inside feels like an actual cottage with its fun little homestyle mugs and things hanging on the walls.
The only dip in my rankings is the atmosphere because it is very small and cottage-esque, they really need to pump some more AC into the building.
The food is to die for. My dad and I had a reuben (pictured) and the pretzel sausage appetizer. My step mother had the salmon plate and loved it. The beer cheese has some kind of magical addictive properties that make me think about it the morning after.
This isn't a "budget" low price quick meal stop. Food is pricey, but for the quality, you get what you pay for. 3 folks with tip ended up being about $120. It was a great father's day destination for me to take my family to.
There's also knowing this is a local family-run business in downtown eau gallie, and shelling out a little extra to help a small business is just a good thing to do these days.
Will save up my pennies and go again at some point. I highly recommend it.
There were 4 of us and we arrived at 11:15 Sunday morning. First customers of the day. This was my wife and I second time here. Our waiter was Rey and he was very good. He really knew the menu and made recommendations and they were spot on. Two of us had the Ruben sandwich, one had the Irish breakfast sandwich and one had the Cottage something. Kind of like Shepherds pie. All were excellent. I was the only one who finished their entire meal. Will definitely be back. They also give a military discount.
Very chill atmosphere whether you choose to sit inside or out. Bar staff very friendly and attentive. The pretzel and beer cheese was delicious. We chose two different entree’s; my husband had a huge jalapeño burger w/ fries while I opted for the cottage pie. We both had a couple cocktails. My husband chose a dark lager while I had the Irish coffee which was phenomenal! I’d never had a coffee w/ whiskey but I will be now each time we return. We’d highly recommend this venue for food, fun, and cocktails.
They had a nice outdoor children’s picnic table as well as big block jenga to play and entertain kids.
Prices are very reasonable for all. Our bill would’ve been under $30 without cocktails.
I have mixed reviews. If you are going there for dinner, they have pigs in a blanket with pretzel buns,
delicious to add beer cheese. I went there one late night and they were empty and not very hospitable. Downtown Eau Gallie has little open late night and they could benefit for putting some effort into late night food and drinks. I will be back!
Super cute spot, some places inside feel like you’ve left Florida. Really nice outdoor patio. Guinness on tap is always delicious. Food is heavy but tasty.
Love all the vegetarian and vegan options. The cauliflower wings were delicious. They had a variety of great drinks as well. You can either eat outside or inside. The inside was quaint and reminded me of an Irish pub! Parking can be difficult as there are limited parking places downtown.
What a nice evening. We had wanted to come before but they were completely full as there was a street festival at the time. So glad we got to come and will be back. Had fish and chips they were light and crisp not greasy at all.
Food was great, service was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and slow sipping a fine Irish whiskey of the month while playing Jenga on the back patio after our meal. Thanks for a fantastic evening!
Everything was fantastic. Service, food, beer and wine and the quaint little room we were in dining with old friends was just wonderful. Our server/bartender/host was on point making sure we had a great experience in his restaurant. Highly recommended.
Went during weekday evening and found a seat outside immediately. Very quaint and true to the cottage feel. Music was a little overbearing at times. Our server was a nice person, but it seemed like his first week and unsure of himself. Regardless it went well. The food was excellent, better than typical pub fare. Would have liked to see more draft beers but had Harp and Guinness. Overall nice place I would go to again just for the food alone.
