My wife and I had a fantastic lunch at Thai Thai House today. What a gem! We were pleasantly surprised to find no wait when we arrived, and the interior, with its huge fish tank, created a soothing atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly, but it was the food that truly stole the show. The flavors were authentic and packed a punch, reminding us of our favorite Thai dishes. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or new to it, Thai Thai House inside Hammock Landing Plaza is a must-visit.

We've been here several times and it's usually good. This time it wasn't quite as good. Ordered duck and it wasn't hot enough. When we heated it up as left overs it was much better. Also ordered a shrimp pad Thai, but the shrimp didn't seem as flavorful as usual. Maybe was an off night. We'll go back again because, like I said, it's usually very good. Service is always good. Very friendly and you don't have to wait to be seated.

This place is very run down, but the food is still good. Service was a bit lacking as well. Sat at the sushi bar, but still needed a server? Very strange. Great prices on the lunch bento boxes, though.

Sushi was great. Service was quick and friendly. We loved the rolls we got and the sashami was fresh and in large pieces. This was our first time here and we would be happy to go back.

Top notch customer service!!! I highly recommend the garlic sauce entree, and the drunken noodles! Can't wait to go back for more Thai food, and to try the Sushi.
Update 6.22.22
Still one of the best Thai places Melbourne!!!
Great service!!! Love the sushi and recommend the drunken noodles.

Small, Quiet, Quaint. The actual location is a bit small and isn't much to look at but the food speaks for itself. Despite the food looking small it was very filling. The staff was Quiet as well but helpful nonetheless. My glass if water never got to half empty before they refilled it. Very great experience

One of my all-time favorite restaurants in Palm Bay! Food and service was always excellent, and they have fantastic vegan options. It's a lovely place to go for a weekly outing, and the staff are so friendly.

Good vegetarian and vegan options. I got pad Thai and Thai tea, boyfriend got ginger curry, and other friends got a sushi boat and chicken. Sushi boat was cool looking, see in photo. Curry And pad Thai was good, but not very spicy. Curry seemed to have been made with coconut cream. They didn’t ask for any level of spice, which I like to usually have at least SOME spice. The reason I took off a star, was because I couldn’t put coconut cream in my Thai tea, that’s a big deal to me because I am plant based, and I like putting the coconut cream, as that is a traditional way to have the tea, also the tea was VERY sweet, I think because sweetened milk was also added to it. Also it seemed the curry was made with coconut milk? So the store was cool, and the hosts were sweet, but no coconut cream at a Thai restaurant ? That’s not very legitimate.

Went for a quick lunch and had a great experience. Seated fast, and had order taken quickly. Enjoyed our meals. Salmon teriyaki combo and pad thai pork lunch.
Debbie Cool
Shrimp Pad Thai was mouth watering and there was a generous portion of shrimp.
Steamed dumplings were meaty and flavorful. The presentation and the amount of food served was a welcome meal for the price.
The experience was very pleasant and our waitress was kind.

Best sushi in Palm Bay & West Melbourne! My favorite is the super crunch roll! Great service and the food is always excellent.

Soooooo good! I haven't had such good Thai since leaving Chicago, where you get authentic Thai food. The staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. You will really enjoy yourself everytime!

The restaurant is cozy and has a very nice aesthetic too. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough tables due to covid regulations so I had to take my food to go. Other than that the food and the prices were good and I really enjoyed the sushi rolls.

We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. The food was superb. We ordered the JB Roll and the Dynamite Roll and the Thai Wonton Soup. 5-Stars for all the goodness. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted delicious. Would highly recommend. We also had a very pleasant server as well.

Haven't been over here in a while (not the restaurant's fault because it's always been great; just never have business that brings me this way), but I can tell you that I will change that now!
Thai Thai was *so* delicious! This is what sushi should be. It was artful, delicious and quick as a flash to our table. So, so good.
The staff were very polite, the restaurant was clean and everything else was lovely.
Not to be missed if you love sushi!

Basil duck was bland and soggy. Had that old oil taste and smell like you get at a cheap fast food place. Made my stomach hurt. Service was slow.
Darryl Burns
Unlike many of the Thai restaurants in the area they do not close in the afternoon and have lunch specials even on weekends. We have been to the other Thai Thai restaurant in Melbourne and have always been very happy with our meal. I had the Volcano Fish it was slightly spicy and crispy.

I just enjoyed the calamari appetizer and panang chicken curry at Thai Thai House. The calamari were thick tender rings, not the little quarter sized ones you so often get, coated in a crunchy crispy tempura batter. The curry was rich and well spiced, absolutely delicious with just the right amount of heat. The wait staff could have been a little more attentive, I had to ask for a glass of water, and a take-home container. There were only two other tables occupied, so it wasn't like they were overly busy. They just weren't paying very close attention. This restaurant has also apparently decided on their own level of spice for the various Thai Dishes because they didn't ask how warm I wanted mine. Although it was perfectly spiced for me, I'm just not used to a Thai restaurant not asking how warm you would like your dishes. I will definitely come back to eat here again because of the quality of their food, I just wish there wait staff was a bit more attentive.

This is by far the best sushi and Thai restaurant around! Hubby and I come here several times a month for lunch and it's always consistent. Whether i order the sushi, pad Thai, red curry chicken, teriyaki; it's all good! I recommend the volcano duck for dinner. It's really good.

We had dinner here last week. Service was slow but in fairness there was a large party of young women who were seated at the same time. Tile surfaces make the noise seem louder and the screeching of the wooden chairs constantly scraping accross the floor was unbearable. The food was tasty but not spicy like Tai food usually is. Aparantly they have settled for a medium low spice profile and they don't even ask you how spicy you want it prepared. Too mainstream.

This place is a gem! Great lunch prices, excellent flavor and just the right portion size. Authentic with great value and friendly service

Hit & Miss. Great tasting food, horrible service.
Two weeks ago, I ordered takeout. They told me 15-20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes, got there & still had to wait another 45 minutes. At that point I was told they did not make my Chicken Pad Thai properly, so they were giving me two house salads for free. REALLY? I waited an hour & 15 minutes. I didn't want salad.
Tonight, we went in, we're seated promptly, then sat there for nearly 20 minutes before we walked out without anyone ever approaching out table. Not once. There were about 6 other tables filled at the time. There are too many other Thai places around to go back there for horrible service!

If you love tuna you have to try the Spicy Tuna Salad its amazing! We love the food there.

Gotten better over time. I've been to this place a handful of times, a few years ago the food, decor, wait staff, etc... were mediocre, not bad but not great. About a week ago I went with two other people and the quality of everything here has seemed to have been kicked up a few notches, keep in mind we were there around 3:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered a pork drunken noodle, eel sushi roll, tuna sushi roll as well as the yellow mango curry with chicken lunch special, everything was excellent. Not only were the tastes on the money but everything was prepared and presented well i.e. not overcooked, sloppy looking etc... I'm sure there is a fair amount of msg and fat in nearly all of the dishes, as is the same for nearly every restaurant, but hey the flavors were dancing on our palettes, and how else can you make food taste that good? I would however stay away from anything fried here, they have not gotten it quite right yet. All in all this last time going there has given me a reason to go back, hopefully they can remain at the high level I now expect them to stay at.

A good choice.. I am glad that I didn't read all the reviews about this place before I stopped in for lunch. I might have missed out on something quite good. Had the Pad Thai and a spicy roll. Both were very good. I do want to say that the wait staff should have some better training. How bad is it when your wait person can make absolutely no reccomendations about food choices? The food was nicely prepared and beautifully presented with nice, delicate flavors. I will return here.

Best by Far.... We've had take out a couple of time.. So Far really good...
Don't know what's up with all the bad mouthing is about......
Clean and friendly....

Love this place! I always order sushi from here! Delicious and more than enough for the price.
Lindsy Messing-Hitchens
Best spring rolls ever. Had a really delicious chicken pad thai as well. A bit steep in price, but the portion was huge!
Cassandra
Sushi Boat. I was with two other friends and we got the sushi boat. One of us didn't want California rolls so they gladly made us something else in its place! It was around 25 dollars and I think we each got a little salad and sake to drink and it was more than enough for all of us.

HORRIBLE. This is the worst Thai Restaurant I have eaten at in years. Definitely the worst in the Melbourne area. We live pretty close and love Thai food so we have been stupid enough to give them 5 or 6 chances. Enough time passes after our last bad experience that we forget just how bad it was. Last night was the last. Never again when we are craving Thai food, and our beloved Thai Kitchen is closed, will we give in to the urge and order from Thai Thai. We thought how can they screw up Massaman Curry, a simple noodle dish and volcano tofu.. Well they can. No real flavor, we told them Thai hot and it didn't have the slightest bit of heat. The potatoes in the curry were not cooked through and there was almost no chicken in the dish and no spice. We also ordered Volcano Tofu and it was a mushy mess of overly sweet oily fried tofu and gooey red sauce that did not even taste like volcano. This food all taste like it came out of a can. Nothing seems fresh or has any real Thai flavor. I would rather go without Thai than eat here. On top of the horrible food when we have tried eating in thinking it would be better than take out, not only was the food just as bad but the service is almost none existent. Beg for water, tea, wait forever for food even when they are not crowded and then beg for your check. None of this makes any sense... how could they be so bad ? We have a pack, NEVER again will we break down and throw away our money and appetites with Thai Thai.

Try the Lobster Pad Thai. You'll thank me later.
Jenna
Good Food in General. I eat here all the time, I know it is not authentic spicy, but I love their pad thai and I get it every time I come. I have had their sushi a couple times as well, and I find it good, but very normal, not amazing, but really good. I consider this a sort of middle the road, I have never sent anything back and the food is generally good and reasonably priced. I would eat here over Chilis, Texas Roadhouse, Carraba's, Panera any day of the week. It's definitely better then Hop Bo and probably better then Siwon Tasty. I have heard the one closer to the Cape is better, but for Palm Bay it's acceptable. I love the place and eat here all the time.
Arun
Very poor customer treatment. I'm sitting inside the restaurant and writing this. If u want to be respected do not go to this restaurant.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.. I am a shameful fool! For sure! I so love Massaman Curry and Thai Thai is near my house so I just keep going trying. Every single time I have had a negative experience. I made the mistake of sending it back on one occasion only to wait 45 minutes and get the same thing served to me again. The main issue with their Massaman Curry is that they attempt to put potatoes in it and they are crunchy and raw. The chicken is always fairly dry. Other restaurants put carrots in theirs which I enjoy...Thai Thai doesn't do that. It is also the most expensive Thai place in Melbourne for sure. I spent $37 for 1 order of fried rice and 2 orders of Massaman Curry. They only give you a little rice with the Curry as if it is an expensive item. Ugh. Never again. Oh well, at least I didn't get glass in my food like my friends but I will let them write that review for themselves.

My hubby and I just ate at Thai Thai House for the first time. The spring rolls were excellent--fresh and crispy. We both had lobster pad Thai as other reviewers recommended. A very nice lunch experience. We will definitely go back and try sushi there next.
Terry
Would be nice to eat at if their chef Jason Clark wasn't sleeping with my wife!

Delicciouss. I live right near Thai thai house and i usually get the sushi, the last few times i got the Lobster Pad Thai. Most delicious thing on the menu if you like lobster. It it filled with chunks of lobster and even the lunch portion is big. definitely recommend !
GrtFoodFndr
It's ok... The sushi is fresh but a bit over priced there is little flair to the actual presentation came out looking like te sushi Iake at home lol but the curry is excellent and is definitely worth going back for.
Adam Mercer
Looks like Thai, Tastes like Chinese. The food looks like Thai, but tastes nothing like it. There is little to no spice and lack of flavor. Sad to see real Thai people conform to Americans mild palates.
Lucy
Great sushi!. I have gone to Thai Thai House several times. Usually I have the sushi and sashimi; both taste fresh and good. The lunch specials are very reasonably priced and good sized. The coconut curry tofu is excellent, too.
Free The Sleeping Kitten
My complaint is that is so store-front. Crab puffs were still frozen inside. They just cooked them more and brought them back too brown burnt. Obviuosly a boxed frozen item. Sushi pieces were tiny. Too cramped inside. Still,... It was acceptable food.
EastCoast_Irish
Meh.... The food was good, the service was good. However the food took way to long to arrive, and the prices are higher than most other sushi bars around.

Good Food, Friendly Service. Went to dinner on Sunday and the restaurant was completely full...a good sign. The service was pleasant and the food was very good. Spring rolls - excellent and I'm typically not a big fan. Had the green curry with jumbo shrimp. Spicy but great flavor without being burning hot. There were plenty of quality shrimp in the dish also. Husband had lobster pad thai, also good but he wished it was spicier. Good sized chunks of lobster in the dish. We'll definately be back!
Greenbeanfoodie
Very nice. We had lunch outside here the other day and it was a surprising find in this new outdoor mall. The conch salad was absolutely spot on, with just enough light dressing and ever tender conch. Presentation was very nice too. The sushi was terrific as well and service was pretty decent. Overall I think this is a pretty nice find in this area. We will be back for sure.
Sheree Stebbins
The sushi was really good and average cost for good sushi. I really liked the Volcano Roll. A must try at Thai Thai House.

Lunch at Thai Thai House. Best lunch i have had in a long long time. It was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be back for sure. The dish I had was a Ginger Curry, I added chicken. The sauce was sooooooo good. I also paid the extra $1 for a salad (the dressing is superb) and the extra $1 for the brown rice. The whole dish made me hum "mmmm" just about after every bite. If you haven't been there yet, it a place worth checking out most definitely.
