Edited: Went back. Still fantastic. Added pix. I cannot believe I took no pictures! The oysters were great! My chef salad was huge & delicious. The steaks my friends ordered were top-notch.

Half Shell is a great after work or afternoon watering hole. The staff is amazing and friendly. The oysters are amazing and prepared to perfection. I have yet to have a bad meal here. The Louisiana Grilled Oysters are my favorite thing to get along with the red beans and rice.

INCREDIBLE!! I love going here and don’t get a chance often enough. This is a Memphis staple and has been here for decades. We started with the fried mushrooms which were DYNAMITE. They were crispy and came with a light coating of Parmesan cheese and a horseradish-based tiger sauce for dipping. I had the crab bisque which was KILLER good - rich and creamy with crab meat floating in the middle. For dinner I had the MONTE CRISTO. That’s right, there are a few places which still serve this magical sandwich which hits all of us he essential flavors - salt, fat, acid, heat. It comes with a honey mustard dipping sauce that complements it perfectly. The ambiance is wonderful and the service a great. Check it out when you get a chance. Ok. I’m adding the BEST music anywhere - 1970s rock and roll!!

One of the gems in Memphis. Truly wonderful. Mary our server was excellent. Food was delicious, nothing left on the plate. Will be back.

Casual, laid back dining. There was no wait time. We were seated and given our menus. Waitress was friendly, down to earth and knowledgeable of the menu. Answered all of our questions and offered suggestions. Best sweet tea I've ever had!!! Although we were only 3, we ordered appetizers and 4 entrees. Everything was delicious!!!

Way better than I had hoped for even as the last open Cajun Seafood restaurant open past 10pm. Make sure to ask to sit in Matt Kentrail's section. One of the best service industry employees I have ever seem. That comes from a lifetime of experience. With my mother working her way from bussing tables to General Management. Great personality, charisma, and knowledge of his craft!

Took the family for a night out, everyone's entire meal from the appetizer through to the dessert was delicious, hot, and served in a timely fashion so that no course overlapped the next. Praises to our server Josh, he got all of the orders correct 1st time for 6 people. Great job. The only complaint, the wait time, but they were busy.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Very comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. What more can you ask for?? Highly recommend the Little red Corvette drink which is smoother than polished glass. Also recommend the oyster 🦪 Rockefeller and Beinville very delicious with a fresh taste... Still can taste the ocean through the vibrant flavors and sauces. Best bartender ever at this location ❤️❤️

Got the half and half oysters and these other oysters with Parmesan cheese and they were delicious! The crab cakes were good (only two), and the crab bisque was eh. Overall everything else very tasty though! Our waitress was super nice!

The best seafood I have found in Memphis. A wide variety of dishes, both seafood and not. I really liked the grilled oysters and shrimp skewers for appetizers. Blackened amberjack and catfish were both delicious. Good selection of canned beers. Key Lime Pie too!

Skip on the NY strip, it was basic, and not cooked correctly. Key lime pie wasnt the best either.The filet was very worth it. Oysters on the half shell were good, pretty small though. The house salad for 14 bucks was a little steep, but ate it all. Overall a generic little place, would try it again, but get different dishes.
