I was there today with my family and immediately loved the place. The host/server was very friendly and nice. The food was very delicious as well as their sweet tea. I will be visiting this establishment again and I recommend everyone to try it.

The food is absolutely delicious and incredibly filling! There's no much flavor, but it isn't too much! I can't wait to come back!!

Our first time at the new location. After moving to mid-town we didn't make it out to the original very often. The food is wonderful as always, and it was nice to see familiar faces from the Hacks Cross restaurant. A very welcome addition to midtown, so glad they moved here too!

Visited this Korean eatery after visiting another one in Memphis a few weeks prior. Instead of getting a meal cooked in the kitchen, we decided to try the BBQ option where you grill your own meats. We got chicken, beef, and pork during our visit. The meats were all good and the sides that come with it were good but it would be nicer if the portions were a bit bigger. The service was good and it wasn't too crowded. Not a bad restaurant though and I would visit it again.

Waitress was sweet and attentive. I got the food that I grill yourself and it was a fun experience and I absolutely devoured the food. It's great to go with friends, family, or your partner.

Arrived on a quiet weekend night, not too busy. Bibimbap was pretty good. Pajeon was slightly undercooked but still ok to eat. Waitress was friendly and welcoming.

The owner took care of us personally and the food was amazing. A million times better than anything I’ve had across the street at Mulan. Highly recommend, and will def be back. Spicy shrimp BBQ was so fire! The bulgogi beef was also delish. Nothing but good vibes and good food here.

I thought it was good. A fun little place to stop. Our service was good. I’m not sure what we ate but we cooked it at the table.

Loved this place. The food was incredible and definitely will be back to try again. Korean BBQ was great, I ordered the bulgogi and got it spicy. Nestled in the Cooper-young area go here for dinner and walk the area afterwards!

Having been a regular at the OG location on Hacks Cross, I was completely satisfied with my first time visit at the Midtown location. I would recommend a light jacket if you’re not going to be grilling at your table, as it was a bit chilly inside, but it was understandable why. Our waitress Lauren was great, and made our visit pleasant. I appreciate the pre-cook of the daeji bulgogi so we wouldn’t have to grill it for 10+ minutes at the table!

Been here twice now. First time ordered out of the kitchen, second time grilled our own and brought in a bottle of wine. Both times were delicious!

Great Korean place. I have been here twice. Once I had a noodle dish and the other time a soup. Both were delicious. Also the kimchi is one of the best I tasted.

Delicious meal! We started with the seafood pancake which was perfectly crisp and flavorful, a must get (pictured below). Then shared the octopus stir fry and the kimchi stew. The kimchi stew was so flavorful and rich with a kick. It was a very filling amount for two people but highly recommend getting!

What a Wonderfully prepared korean meal! We ordered the Korean bbq with 3 different meats, as well as a few appetizers. Each bite was so delicious, from the first to the last bite, just wow!!! This korean style restaurant has food that pops! I'm unclear why it was so slow. There was only 1 other table filled in the restaurant. I really feel this restaurant deserves so much more business then it had the night that I was there. When I'm back in Memphis I'll definitely have to try it again and hopefully next time I go the place will be packed with people enjoying their Korean style food.

I really like DWJ atmosphere. The face that you can cook your own food there is great. It will be a great place for Karaoke soon.

First off let me say that I am visiting My mother in law and her family and wanted them to experience Korean food because I am Korean. This place is really the only Korean food in the city so had to go here by default. I’d say the portions are on the smaller size and the food wasn’t the greatest in some areas but the bbq was fine. I ordered 5 different types of meat, bibimbap, japchae and cheesy corn. It’s the only Korean food option around so I won’t complain much. Service was great so thank you to our waitress!

Incredible. Great food. Great service. Will definitely return. My wife is Korean so this was a special treat for her. I read several reviews the day before we went for lunch and knew of the "side-dish" confusion. When we were seated and given menus, a small order form (similar to a sushi order) was given to us as well. In an instant... I got it. Then, while eating... a couple of guys were seated behind us. The guy that seemed familiar with Korean cuisine ordered for both.. but felt the need to ask about the accompanying side dishes after ordering. The waitress politely explained their system and answered some borderline rude questions. Bottom line... It cuts food waste and keeps prices down. What's not to understand?

Stopped by for some hot stone bibimbap and it was delicious! Each restaurant does it just a bit different, and I enjoyed theirs! Had the tofu with vegetables. Waitress was lacking much of a personality and only came to the table once to deliver the food and once with the check. This one small section of Young St. has several eclectic restaurants, certainly worth the visit! I would return, maybe hoping for more interaction...
