Mulan Asian Bistro. Where to start? Everything was excellent about this place. The food was amazing, I had Hunan Bandit Duck with steamed rice and Steamed Buns (aka Baozi or Mantou) as an appetizer. The duck was crisp on the outside while being juicy and perfectly done on the inside. The sauce was just the right amount of spicy, and the buns complimented the dishes perfectly. They added just the right amount of sweet and soft while taking the pepper oils out of my mouth. The vegetables were perfect as well, having just the right amount of crisp left to them. Delicious all the way around. The service was also expedient, friendly, and helpful. Plenty of space to park, plenty of dining room, and overall everything was excellent. The pricing was reasonable if one considers the portion size, I ate twice off the same meal. Overall, hats off to the folks at Mulan Asian Bistro, keep up the excellent work.

Really tasty food the only downside was the bathroom not too clean and the restaurant smelled like tobacco. We had wonton soup, chicken cashew, fried pork wonton and chicken with mixed veggies all of them were completely delicious

Just wonderful food and atmosphere. Food is very tasty, most delicious Chinese / Asian food in Memphis. Friendly staff had great recommendations. Great cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

Just got a pick-up order: Dinner - mixed vegetables with (large) shrimp (fantastic), excellent fried rice and miso soup. The food is delicious and the service was great! I have been eating Mulan food for several years. There were times in the past when I would say 3.5/5, but lately a solid 5! Very, very good food Mulan! Perfectly prepared! Keep up the good work. Thank-you! - Daniel

This place needs more business than what it gets. It’s SO good. Food is always delicious and the pork wontons are so tasty. The drinks are also very well made they have warm Sake as well. I’m glad they had wine since I am pregnant

We struggle finding good Chinese food since we moved to Memphis. Today we tried Mulan for the first time and it was the best most authentic food we’ve had here so far. The Sichuan chicken has proper numbing peppercorns and we were so delighted to find this restaurant. We will be back!!

Definitely a great place! We went for dinner on a weekday and enjoyed the ambiance. Staff were very accommodating and food was delish. Egg drop soup,Tom yum soup and Jalapeño fried rice are to be tried. I really loved the way my chicken tasted in the Singapore sizzling chicken. Chicken was very soft (it had been cooked really well!) and had taken up all the flavors from the sauces and veggies.

Hot and sour soup: sweeter and spicier than I expected. Had good depth of flavor. 5/5 Egg drop soup: very very eggy. Fair I suppose. 3/5 Honey chicken: more pineapple flavor than expected. Good sauce consistency, good quantity, not too greasy. 5/5 Sauted vermicelli: excellent flavor, but the texture of silicone. All the noodles were congealed and it was very hard to eat. (2/5) Server noticed I wasn't enjoying it and insisted I order something else. 5/5. Thai basil: excellent, plenty of flavor and sauce, lightly spicy, had celery which was different. 5/5. I'll be back for sure!

I ordered dinner from this place through Uber eats. The menu here looks nice and a bit expensive though. The food came on time, carefully packed, and piping hot. I ordered some spicy chicken and boiled fish fillet in chilli oil. Both of them were huge in portion size. The fish came in two boxes, with a side of rice. It was hot and spicy. The fish was good, the soup is a bit oily from the chilli in oil. They put enough red chillies and Szechuan peppercorns (make some tingling sensation/ numbing effect on tongue). So if you don’t like it, maybe you should ask them not to put it. The chicken was also very spicy and hot. I’m an indian, can eat quite a spicy food. But this food was beyond my limit. They were so hot and spicy, and delicious at the same time. Next time I would make sure to request them to reduce the spice level. The chicken was crunchy from outside, coated with all the spices, however moist and juicy inside. It was perfect as starter. However, it was too hot.

Had a delicious lunch with my date. The drinks and food were delicious as well as having exceptional wait staff. Definitely a bit more than say a take out Chinese place but well worth the couple extra bucks.
