Best Mexican food in memphis. Authentic homemade and delicious. I haven't had anything here that was bad. The rice is perfect. I love their shrimp and their carnitas. A+

A fortunate find. Driving through Memphis yesterday and getting hungry, glimpsed the sign for Mariscos and decided to do a u turn and check it out. Lots of cars in the parking lot which could be a good sign, but McD's has lots of cars so I will wait and see how the meal goes. Walk in and look around. Lots of families and no english being spoken. This could be real food not the ersatz cheese sauce covered dreck I've been served at too many "mexican" restaurants since leaving Arizona. Checking out the menu, the usual chips and salsa arrive with a bonus cup of soup. Salsa is OK nothing to brag about, spouse likes the soup, me not so much. We order. She orders burrito mexicano and I get the shrimp rancheros. By the way there are no enchiladas or tamales on the menu. Food arrives hot and neatly plated, and we begin eating. After the first bites of our respective dishes we are both impressed. The shrimp dish is full of fresh flavors and the burrito is almost as good. Bonus points for the hot off the grill fresh tortillas. These folks know how to cook. There is heat here, but it used to enhance the flavors of the food not as the main flavor.The decor is on the run down side but if you prefer flavorful authentic food over style this place is for you. I just wish it were around the corner from us instead of 50 miles away. We look forward returning to Mariscos the next time we are in Memphis.
I was pleased with my shimp chimichanga🍤🌯 i give it a 7 out of 10. The seafood soup🦪🥘 was about the same acording to wife. They brought us chips and dip like every other Mexican restaurant🇲🇽🌯🌮🍻. Now where they wowed me was complementary vegetable soup 🍲 that came with the chips and dip and It was very good😋. Atmosphere was good, wait was briefly, cost was not high compared to others in my experience. So i recommend it and will definitely be returning 👍
Very good food! Fast service, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Definitely will come back here!! I ordered a fried whole fish red snapper, it was delicious! I really do recommend this place!

The food was good, but the meat was a little fatty.
We always go here everytime we come on memphis.. we love the grilled butterfly snapper... but last time were there they're grilling chickens... they're pretty good too but I'm hoping they'll give space for the fishes if a customer wants a fish...

Love this place if your a big sea food person is a must.. there pollo asado is great. Hasn't disappointed me at all. Been there lots of times and will continue to do so.
The place looks nice and clean, but my fajitas plate didn't came sizzling as I expected from a Mexican restaurant, but warm, it was ok.
Fish tacos were steaming hot and wonderful taste. With the chips and salsa, they also brought a small cup of seafood and vegetable soup, also very tastey . The owner was especially helpful and courteous. The prices were especially reasonable, actually lower than most other restaurants I've frequented. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes.

The food is good and well worth the value. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. It comes in two containers and a side of tortillas. The first container is shrimp, with grilled onions and bell peppers. The second container is filled with beans, lettuce, sour cream, and rice.
So delicious.
While getting work done at Autotronics I stopped in for some lunch and was pleasantly surprised by not only the beautiful hostess but the taste and quality of the dish that she suggested.

My favorite authentic Mexican restaurant in Memphis. Delicious seafood, and everything else is wonderful as well. I can’t recommend highly enough. My buddy Dave says “beat dang free soup in the world!”
